"So this is the kind of magic the boss was talking about…"
Lisa closed the last page of Cardcaptor Sakura and fell into thought.
In the manga's world,
there was a powerful magician named Clow Reed,
who created 52 magical Clow Cards,
each imbued with its own unique magical power.
There were elemental types—like wind, water, and lightning—
as well as attack, defense, and support abilities.
A vast array of magical functions, all tied to individual cards.
The story itself revolved around these cards and the girl tasked with sealing them.
"If I had a set of Clow Cards like that,
it would push my magic studies to a whole new level…"
Lisa's eyes sparkled with curiosity and excitement.
She had found something new to love.
"…And that girl, Sakura Kinomoto, she's adorable.
Reminds me of Klee, honestly."
Han Feng couldn't help but chuckle when he heard that.
The original moe queen wasn't called that for nothing.
Just then, a familiar system prompt appeared in Han Feng's vision:
[Customer Lisa has finished reading Cardcaptor Sakura. Reward: Thunder Card]
[Thunder Card: "So long as you don't lose yourself, good fortune shall follow." Grants the user the ability to command thunder and lightning.]
[Note: Modified by system—can be used directly without a magic wand.]
"…Pretty fitting for Lisa," Han Feng nodded inwardly.
Lisa already possessed an Electro Vision,
and she was an exceptional scholar—a magical genius, even.
Give someone like her a magically imbued card like this,
and the result wasn't just "1 + 1"...
It was exponential synergy.
Han Feng was genuinely curious about what kind of havoc she'd wreak with it.
Whoom—
A dazzling light descended from above, bathing Lisa in its glow.
She blinked curiously, taking it all in with a calm composure.
Han Feng had a suspicion—if she had the chance,
she'd probably love to dissect the whole phenomenon right then and there.
Moments later, the light faded.
A mysterious card had appeared in Lisa's left hand.
At the top was the word — Thunder.
Beneath it, in English: "THE THUNDER".
And at the center of the card, a majestic wolf made of crackling electricity.
"The Thunder Card," Han Feng explained.
"It lets you wield powerful lightning-based magic—no wand needed."
"So this is a Clow Card…"
Lisa examined it curiously.
As an Electro user, she could feel the immense electric energy stored within.
"…It suits me quite well,"
Lisa smiled gently.
With this, not only would her combat power improve,
but it was also a priceless artifact of magical significance—
perfect for research.
Two birds, one stone.
Looks like this manga store was going to become a regular haunt.
She'd just discovered a new favorite place to slack off.
Meanwhile, Jean had just finished One Piece – East Blue Arc.
The story had drawn her in.
She was completely engrossed by the vivid characters and high-seas adventure.
Unfortunately, the volume ended too soon—
right before they entered the Grand Line.
What impressed her most wasn't the wild journey or the dream of becoming Pirate King...
It was the strength of the characters.
Mihawk.
Garp.
Red-Haired Shanks.
Each one radiated a level of power that left a deep impression.
"If I had strength like that…
maybe I could protect Mondstadt even better."
Jean murmured as she looked down at the manga in her hands.
"You can make that wish come true—
This store is where the impossible becomes reality,"
Lisa said with a smile, holding up her Thunder Card.
As someone who'd been by Jean's side for years,
Lisa knew all too well the weight her friend carried.
But now, everything was beginning to change.
All thanks to this mysterious bookstore—
and the even more mysterious shopkeeper behind it.
Lisa cast a meaningful glance at Han Feng,
who was still sipping tea as if none of this had anything to do with him.
"I wonder what kind of reward I'll get?"
Jean looked at Han Feng, eyes full of anticipation.
Right on cue—
System Refresh
[Customer Jean has finished reading One Piece – East Blue Arc. Reward: Conqueror's Haki]
[Conqueror's Haki: A manifestation of one's spirit and willpower. Can intimidate, overwhelm, or even knock unconscious weaker enemies. At higher levels, it creates a crushing aura that suppresses all opponents.]
"Not Armament Haki, but this might actually suit her better,"
Han Feng muttered in admiration.
Jean, as Acting Grand Master, was already impressively strong.
Even in the game's lore, she once defeated five Mitachurls on her own—
and even claimed she'd try barehanded next time, for training.
So a power based on pure presence and will…
was practically tailor-made for her.
Besides, right now, Mondstadt didn't have that many true threats.
There was Signora, sure.
And maybe Stormterror, to an extent.
But ordinary Fatui agents or Abyss mages?
They couldn't hold a candle to Jean.
Now that she had Conqueror's Haki,
dealing with them would be a breeze.
"If she gets the other two Hakis later...
Would she evolve into Dominatrix Jean?"
Han Feng snorted to himself at the thought.
The image… was kind of amazing.
