Axton wouldn't have thought that such an overpowered talent would appear on the very first day of the game. Things like this came, but later on.
Just how strong would he be as the game progresses?
Even Axton couldn't tell as it did not seem like his privilege had a limit.
"The more enemies I fight, the stronger I get. I couldn't have asked for a better talent than this… truly, worth its SSS rank."
Axton's eyes bubbled with excitement.
His situation was similar to those of protagonists who start off being overpowered.
He loved it.
Only he had two giant bonuses: a privilege and an SSS rank talent!

Axton exhaled.
He did not have anything in mind for a username for his avatar yet.
He thought for a minute and nothing cool came to his head.
"Godslayer."
[This username is no longer available]
"WarGod."

…
Axton tried a few more times and got the same response from the game system.
Failing to get it straight, Axton put in one more name, a name that belonged to one of the greatest warriors of history.
"Khan."
*Ding*
[The name [Khan] successfully registered]
[After a successful registration, a name cannot be changed or edited]
Axton didn't really care about that and was fine with it.
[Please select a race]
A drop-down list of different races followed.
[Humans]
[Elves]
[Goblins]
[Orcs]
[...]
"Human."

[Please select a profession]
There were just six occupations in New Eden at this stage of the game.
[Warrior]
[Mage]
[Tank]
[Healer]
[Assassin]
[Ranger]
Axton did not hesitate here.
Already understanding the kind of talent he had, it only made sense that he went for the profession of a warrior, which he did.
Warriors were heavily dependent on their physical attributes and attack, and with [Battle God], Axton was already on the path to becoming a formidable warrior in the game.
He had considered rangers as well, but they were not as physically inclined as warriors.
Axton hastily filled out the rest of the information needed, including his physical data that ranged from height to weight to facial proportions etc.
Shortly after he was done with that.
[Congratulations!]
[You will now be automatically teleported to a beginner village]
[Beginner Village #666]
A blinding flash of light shone in front of Axton, forcing him to cover his face as the light engulfed him as well.
In a split second, he vanished, appearing in the very large novice village that was filled with people.
"Damn it! I didn't get an S rank talent!"
"An A rank ice talent is not bad. Phew! At least it's not a B rank talent."
"This game is truly as real as our world. Just like they promised it would be. Feels like I'm on another planet instead of a game."
The atmosphere was filled with excitement and surprise as players admired themselves and their environment.
Many of the players did not waste time as they went right into doing quests to start their level up journey.
Just like everybody else, Axton was wearing the basic newbie gear and had a newbie weapon that matched his class.
[Newbie Armour]
Effect: +1 Defense
[Axe]
Effect: +1 Physical attack
That was the best of items they could get at this stage.
Even though they sounded like trash, they were better than nothing.
Regardless, players hoped to use these beginner quests to improve their gears considering that the drop rate in New Eden was low.
There was a painful chance of not getting a single drop even after killing some monsters.
Axton, like many others, also decided to look around the village to see what he could find or run into.
After some time of moving around, he finally caught the attention of one of the NPCs, who had a black bowl in his hand.
******
In New Eden, NPCs interact with players and if they have a quest, they can grant them to the said player.
As Axton moved around the village, a ding rang in his head and his attention shifted to the man who had called him.
"Excuse me, young one," the man said.
Axton stopped and turned to the store where the man was standing behind the counter.
Behind the man was all sorts of metals and potions, making it difficult for Axton to know what exactly the man did.
He did, however, have a few thoughts.
Alchemist? Blacksmith?
Those were not far-fetched of what he was seeing.
Axton walked to the store.
"How may I help you, sir?" he asked politely.
Axton did not want to risk being rude and offending the NPC.
From his experience with games, there was a probability of NPCs being stronger than normal players at this stage of the game.
[You have triggered a quest response from the blacksmith — Iron Buck]
[Quest]
— Iron Buck wants you to help him get an ore from the mountains, west of the village but these mountains have been taken over by Horned Mountain Goats. Slay the goats and bring back their horns as proof and he will give you your reward.
…
[Rewards]
— 5 Horns of Mountain Goats : 1 cloth armour (common grade)
— 50 Horns of Mountain Goats : 1 cloth armour (common grade), 1 pair of shoes (common grade)
— 100 Horns of Mountain Goats : 1 cloth armour (common grade), 1 pair of shoes (common grade), 1 weapon (common grade)
…
Reading the description of the quest was enough to know that it was for newbies, and the rewards matched the difficulty.
Defense stats were augmented by the cloth armour.
Speed stats were boosted by the pair of shoes.
As for the weapon, Axton would not know what common grade weapon he would receive unless he provided 100 horns of the mountain goats.
Although the rewards were basically common grade equipment, it was still better than the beginner gears they had on.
…
[Do you accept?]
[Yes / No]
Axton already knew the choice to make.
