Axton couldn't believe his eyes.
A bonus? Just got logging in with the bracelet that he didn't even know what it was capable of doing from the beginning.
Axton re-read the message that appeared in front of him, quickly going on to check the description of this strange bonus.
[100x Multiplier Effect]
[Description: You will be granted 100x the reward that you obtain thanks to your critical hit bonus. This also affects both the quantity of the reward received as well as its efficiency]
[Rule One: Once a reward has been upgraded by the multiplier effect, it cannot be upgraded anymore]
[Rule Two: Upgraded rewards cannot stack on each other]
[Rule Three: Only possessor of the bracelet can gain access to the multiplier effect]
Axton couldn't help but look at the bracelet with more admiration now.
It was as if this bonus was specifically made for whoever was wearing it.
'Did dad know about this?' the young man wondered.
Axton understood that if what he just read was true, then it was powerful.
It was as if he was entering a game with a cheat from the beginning while every other person had to start normal.
The more he put his thought in it, the more he saw the potential that this bonus offered.
Everything that he would gain in the game would be multiplied a hundred times over, even down to money.
It would be quite easy for him to make money and better his life, and there will no longer be need for him to continue applying for positions only to be disappointed over and over again.
A smile crept up on Axton's face. He was starting to like the idea of this cheat.
'Not bad,' he thought.
The crazy part of it was that such a bonus was even upgradeable.
There was no limit in sight, and if this turns out to favour him, Axton would not need to look for any other job again.
While he did not want to sell of the bracelet because it was his father's dying wish for him to keep it, Axton would never have thought that such a bland heirloom would alter the course of his life out of nowhere.
He recalled his father's face and his heart melted with gratitude, almost drawn to tears from the thought that his old man passed down one of the greatest gifts to him.
******
For a moment, Axton felt what it was like to enjoy nepotism but that joy soon faded when he realised that basically everybody logging into the game right now had a talent.
Despite his privilege with the x100 Critical Hit, there was a setback that Axton feared.
He had no talent yet and so, was not even above the player with the least talent right now.
There was no way he could defeat powerful creatures in the game and if he can't even do that, then there was no point to the x100 multiplier effect since there would be no drops to multiply.
Axton sigh.
As if hearing the silent cry from his heart, a ding rang in his head, brightening up his face.
*Ding*
[Congratulations!]
[You have entered New Eden]
[Thanks to the relic in your possession, you have been granted a starter pack gift]
'Starter pack gift?'
Axton was dazzled but that smelled like a good piece of information to him.
[Selecting talent based your own physical data]
[...]
Axton waited eagerly, his heart beating faster than ever as he hoped for the best kind of talent.
Seeing how the bracelet relic granted him uninterrupted access to the world of New Eden, he hoped it would do the same to his talent.
*Ding*
A multicoloured wheel appeared out of the blue, and on it were pie-shaped demarcation.
Each section of this wheel represented a particular type of talent, and not just any type of talent.
They were all…
Axton swallowed loudly, unable to form words as they stuck to his throat.
His eyes were stuck to the floating message in front of him.
[You have been granted an S rank Talent]
[Spin the wheel to select your talent]
The wheel contained a list of S rank talents that matched with his physical data.
Axton was in shock for a minute, unable to proceed further since he was not expecting this.
He hoped to land an A rank talent at best, and now he has options of S rank talents to spin from.

The wheel spun for a minute and then came to a stop with the central arrow pointing to the talent which Axton had gained.
[Congratulations!]
[You have gained the S rank Talent - Son of War]
'Hmm. A combat type talent,' Axton quickly thought, already thinking ahead as he considered the classes that would suit his talent perfectly.
He already knew what he was going to go for and while he was still at it in his head, another ding pulled him back to his reality.
*Ding*
[x100 Critical Hit!]
[Effect initiated! Talent increased by 10000%]
[Choose one of these two options]
[Option 1: Own 50 [Son of War] Talents that can be gifted to other people of your choosing]
[Option 2: Own the upgraded version of your talent. SSS rank Talent - Battle God]
Axton blinked several times, even more shocked than he previously was.
His talent was considered as a reward and ended up being multiplied!
He did not expect this one bit.
'SSS rank? Battle God?' Axton couldn't help but wonder where the SSS rank had come from.
From all the adverts and information released concerning New Eden, the highest rank he had come across was S rank.
'A hidden rank?' he thought further.
He had never heard of an SSS rank, but he knew one thing for sure — it sounded better than S rank.
Without putting much thought into it, Axton went for the second option, taking hold of the [Battle God] talent.
Axton quickly read through his newly upgraded talent to see what it was capable of doing.

[Talent: Battle God]
[Rank: SSS]
[Description: Your physical attack increases by 1% for every additional enemy that you fight]
Axton could only make up one thing from what he read.
His new SSS rank was simple but very overpowered.
