A towering Namekian appeared in the sky, his clothes tattered and body clearly damaged by the explosion.
Slug had been fast asleep, only to be jolted awake by a sudden Ki blast.
He stared at the three figures before him and growled, "You're the ones who destroyed my base?"
Rayden pointed at Paragus without hesitation. "It wasn't us. He's the one who destroyed your base."
Paragus was completely dumbfounded.
Didn't you tell me to deal with them? Why am I being blamed now...?!
"You're courting death!" Slug roared in fury and charged at Paragus with his fist raised.
Bang!
Paragus was sent flying through the air, crashing hard before he managed to stabilize himself.
"H-How is this possible?" he gasped, stunned. "My combat power has increased so much... I've never met anyone in the universe stronger than me in the last two years!"
(Paragus's combat power: 8.26 million – unable to transform into a Super Saiyan. Slug's base power: 20 million. His Giant Form boosts it tenfold.)
"Hmph," Slug snorted coldly. "I expected more, but it turns out you're just a weakling. How dare someone like you destroy my base?"
"Go to hell!"
Slug unleashed a flurry of punches on Paragus.
"AHHH! AHHH!!"
Paragus had no ability to fight back and could only scream in agony.
"Something's not right..." Rayden frowned, watching the scene unfold. I thought this might force Paragus to awaken his Super Saiyan power... but there's no anger or drive for power at all.
Forget it. Maybe there'll be another chance later.
Rayden shook his head in disappointment. "Broly! What are you waiting for? Go save your father! Beat Slug half to death—but don't kill him. He might still be useful."
Seeing his father being thrashed, Broly had already been itching to step in. He had hoped, like Rayden, that Paragus might transform under pressure. But that clearly wasn't happening.
Broly vanished in an instant and reappeared beside Slug, grabbing his raised fist mid-punch.
Then—SMACK!
Broly slapped Slug hard across the face.
"ARGH!!"
Slug screamed as his body flew through the air and crashed into a nearby mountain, disappearing under an avalanche of rocks.
"AHHH!!"
Slug's enraged scream echoed as he powered up, releasing a dark and terrifying energy that shook the ground.
His body began to grow—larger and larger—until he was the size of a mountain.
(Giant Slug: Combat Power 200 million.)
"DIE!"
Slug roared and hurled countless energy blasts toward Broly and Paragus.
Reacting instantly, Broly formed a powerful energy shield around them, blocking the barrage.
Boom! Boom!
Explosions erupted all around, smoke blanketing the area.
When the dust cleared, Broly and Paragus stood unharmed within the shield.
"What?!"
Slug was stunned. His strongest bombardment had done nothing!
In a flash, Broly appeared in front of the giant Slug and drove a punch into his abdomen.
"GAHH!!"
Slug coughed up blood, his enormous body crashing to the ground.
But Broly wasn't done. He continued to pummel the giant Namekian, blow after blow.
Rayden said not to kill you… so I'll leave you barely alive.
"AHHH! AHHH! AHHHH!!"
Slug was helpless, completely overpowered. His giant form couldn't hold up and began shrinking until he reverted to his original size.
Now Slug lay bruised and bloodied, not a single spot on his body unscathed, barely clinging to life.
Broly grabbed Slug and flew over to Rayden.
Whoosh!
He landed beside him.
"Rayden, what do you want with this guy?"
Rayden approached the beaten Slug and spoke calmly. "Slug, I've heard that you Namekians can assimilate with others. Supposedly, doing so can double the other person's combat power. I want you to fuse with someone. Are you willing?"
(Note: In this timeline, Piccolo never fused with anyone on Namek. Rayden isn't sure how strong he currently is, but Slug might still be useful.)
"Assimilate?!"
Slug forced the words out through clenched teeth. "Kill me! I'd rather die than fuse with anyone!"
Rayden sighed. "Looks like you need more convincing."
He reached into his storage ring and pulled out twenty Senzu Beans, handing them to Broly.
"Broly, you didn't get enough fun beating him up just now, right? Here's the deal—feed him one bean every time you beat him within an inch of his life. Stop when he agrees to fuse."
Broly grinned. "Got it, Rayden!"
Dragging Slug aside like a rag doll, Broly stuffed a Senzu Bean into his mouth. Slug's injuries instantly healed.
Slug tried to fly away the moment he recovered—but Broly was faster.
Boom!
One punch sent him plummeting back to the ground.
"Damn it!!"
This pattern repeated a few times until, at last, Slug lay panting on the ground, waving a trembling hand.
"F-Fine! I give up! I'll do it! I'll assimilate—just stop hitting me!"
Rayden chuckled. "I thought you could take twenty Senzu Beans, but you gave up after just a few!"
Paragus, still sore and humiliated, turned to Rayden. "Where are we going now?"
"We're going back to Earth. It's been too long," Rayden said, smiling faintly.
"Rayden, what's Earth?" Broly asked, puzzled.
"It's my home. Most of the remaining Saiyans are there. You'll get to know them soon."
Rayden's smile deepened. I wonder what'll happen when Broly meets Goku?
"I'm excited!" Broly said, his eyes lighting up.
"Good. Hold onto Slug—we're leaving now."
"Okay!"
Broly grabbed Slug by the arm.
Rayden raised his hand. "I've found the divine energy signal."
Zzzt—
With that, Rayden, Broly, Paragus, and Slug vanished using Instant Transmission.

Earth – The Temple
In a flash, the group appeared before Earth's guardian deity.
"God, long time no see! How have you been?"
The guardian blinked in surprise. "Rayden!"
He nodded at the new arrivals. "Are these your companions? This Namekian carries an extremely evil aura."

Elsewhere...
Goku, Gohan, Vegeta, and Piccolo were training when they sensed four powerful energies appear at the Temple. One was disturbingly evil.
"What the—?! There's an enemy at the temple?" Goku said, confused.
"Let's go—now!" Piccolo shot into the sky, heart pounding.
Old man, please be okay… If something happens to you...!
Goku, Gohan, and Vegeta followed him immediately.
Meanwhile, Krillin at Kame House, Yamcha in the city, and Tien and Chiaotzu in the mountains all sensed the shift and began rushing to the temple as well.

Heavenly Temple
Slug stared at an elderly Namekian in front of him and cried, "You don't want me to fuse with this old man, do you?!"
Smack!
Broly swatted him on the head. "Be quiet."
Rayden stepped forward and addressed the god. "These two beside you are my allies. As for this Namekian—he's a villain who's been destroying planets. I brought him here to fuse with Piccolo."
"I see." The guardian nodded. "Shall I summon Piccolo?"
"No need," Rayden said with a smirk. "They're already on the way."
Whoosh! Whoosh!
Suddenly, Goku, Gohan, Vegeta, and Piccolo landed gracefully beside them.
Tap! Tap! Tap!
The four warriors stood tall.
"Rayden! You're back!" Goku beamed. "Last time you brought Bulma's sister back but didn't stop to see us!"
But before he could say more—
"Kakarot! You're Kakarot!" Broly's eyes widened in rage.
"Huh? Do you know me?" Goku asked, confused.
"RAHHH!!"
Broly's aura exploded, shaking the temple. Violent energy surged from his body, a storm of fury and bloodline power.
He vanished—
Boom!
—and reappeared in front of Goku, slamming a punch into his abdomen.
"UGH!!"
Goku had no time to react. He coughed blood and was blasted backwards.
Broly chased after him, eyes wild with rage.
