Just as Piccolo was about to fire his Special Beam Cannon and finish off the three androids, Krillin suddenly shouted:
"Piccolo, wait!"
Piccolo turned, frowning. "What now, baldy? What do you want?"
Krillin stepped forward nervously, then spoke with conviction.
"Piccolo, I don't think these three are evil. They haven't killed Vegeta or Trunks—even though they could have. I think… they're different from the androids Trunks described from his future."
Everyone looked puzzled. Even the androids seemed surprised by his words.
Krillin continued, "Trunks said that in his timeline, there was no Android 16. That means our future and his are different!"
"So why kill them?" he added firmly. "What if they don't turn out to be enemies?"
Android 18 crossed her arms and scoffed, "We only came for Son Goku. You're the ones who attacked us. We never had any reason to fight you."
"Huh?" Goku blinked. "Is that true?"
Trunks clenched his fists, unsure. The androids looked so similar to the ones from his future—yet they acted very differently.
Goku nodded toward Piccolo. "What do you think? Maybe Krillin has a point."
Piccolo growled lowly but eventually powered down, dispersing his energy.
"Hmph! Fine. But if anything goes wrong, you're all on your own."
He turned away and flew off toward his training ground.
"Uncle Piccolo!" Gohan called and chased after him.
Vegeta scowled in frustration. "Damn it! First, Kakarot surpasses me… now I'm getting humiliated by a bunch of puppets."
He turned to Trunks. "Let's train. We'll destroy them next time."
With that, the two Saiyans flew away together.
Before leaving, Goku turned to the androids. "If you ever hurt innocent people, I'll come after you myself."
The androids said nothing. Android 18 suddenly pulled Android 17 over to Krillin.
"Thanks for that," she said softly, then walked away with the others.
Krillin stared after her, stunned. Was this... love at first sight?

Meanwhile, back in the cave—
The incubation pod cracked open with a loud hiss. Out stepped the Ultimate Cell—an amalgamation of cells from Broly, Paragus, Son Goku, Gohan, Vegeta, Trunks, Slug, Piccolo, Frieza (father and son), Krillin, Yamcha, Tien, Chiaotzu, and more.
His green body shimmered under the lights, speckled with black spots. His human-like face showed an eerie calm. He had two pairs of insect-like wings tucked behind him, and his tail was hidden beneath them.
Crunch. Crunch.
His footsteps echoed through the lab as he stepped forward, examining himself.
"Rayden, Broly, Paragus? What are you doing here?" Cell asked, surprised. "Where is Dr. Gero?"
Rayden crossed his arms casually. "He's over there—headless. Want to avenge him?"
Cell blinked. Then suddenly—he laughed.
"Hahaha! Of course not! I'm grateful to him. He gave me the strongest power in the universe!"
"Oh? Confident, are we?" Rayden smirked, then stepped forward and suddenly grabbed Cell by the neck.
"Hey! Let go of me!"
Cell struggled, but no matter how hard he tried, he couldn't escape Rayden's grip.
Rayden turned to Paragus. "Head back to the island. Broly—catch!"
He tossed Cell to Broly, who caught him with ease. Then, placing a hand on Broly's shoulder, Rayden performed Instant Transmission.
---
In deep space—
Swish!
The trio appeared on a barren planet, floating in a red-hued sky.
"Where… where is this?" Cell looked around warily.
Rayden's eyes sparkled. "Come on, Cell. I heard you've got Broly's cells. That means you should grow stronger as you fight, right?"
He powered up and vanished in a flash—then reappeared directly in front of Cell and kicked him into the sky.
Before Cell could recover, Rayden raised his hands to his waist and formed a powerful energy blast.
"Kamehameha!"
Boom!
The blue wave of energy struck Cell midair. His scream echoed as the lower half of his body was vaporized.
Rayden stood calmly, arms lowered. "Stop wasting time. Regenerate. I know you've got Slug and Piccolo's cells."
Cell hissed in frustration. "Damn it! You'll pay for this!"
But sure enough, his body reformed, lower half regenerating rapidly.
Rayden grinned. "Impressive. The Saiyan cells are definitely helping."
"Raaagh!"
Cell roared, unleashing all his power and lunging toward Rayden.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
His fists hammered Rayden's body, but the Saiyan didn't even flinch.
Cell grew desperate and launched a series of energy bombs.
Boom! Boom!
Explosions surrounded Rayden in smoke and fire—but when the dust settled, he stood unscathed.
"What?!" Cell gasped. "Impossible!"
Rayden appeared again, faster than before, and punched Cell square in the stomach.
"Guaah!"
Cell doubled over, coughing up fluid. But to Rayden's surprise, he didn't fly backward.
"Hmm. You're more durable now," Rayden muttered.
Golden light sparked in his eyes.
"Laser Vision!"
Two beams of light shot from his eyes, piercing Cell's chest clean through.
Cell screamed and fell.
Boom!
His body crashed into the rocky ground, forming a crater.
Rayden floated above calmly.
Even with Broly's and Slug's cells, Cell didn't possess Broly's growth speed in battle. But his durability and regeneration had clearly improved.
Still, he was far from Rayden's level.
"Why are you so strong?!" Cell shouted, climbing out of the crater.
"Want to become stronger?" Rayden asked with a sly grin.
Cell blinked. "What do you mean?"
Rayden formed a glowing energy disc and hurled it toward Cell.
Slice!
"Ahhh!" Cell screamed as the disc sliced him in half.
"What are you doing?! You said you'd help me get stronger!"
Rayden chuckled. "Relax. Regenerate. Then tell me how you feel."
Grumbling, Cell did as instructed. His body exploded in light, then reformed again.
"Hmm… I think I'm stronger than before," he admitted.
Rayden smirked. "See? Now let's try again."
He summoned another disc.
Cell's eyes widened. "No! No more!"
He dodged the attack and backed away rapidly.
"Don't you want to be stronger?" Rayden asked mockingly.
"N-No thanks!" Cell stammered.
"Suit yourself."
Rayden turned to Broly. "Come on. Let's head back to Earth. Cell, stay here and train if you want. We'll be back in a few days."
With that, Rayden grabbed Broly, and they vanished with Instant Transmission.
---
Back on Earth…
Over the next few days, the news was filled with reports of citizens disappearing, leaving only piles of clothes behind.
Rayden watched the reports, frowning. "Looks like the Cell from the time machine has started moving."
He sighed. "But he's weak. In my past timeline, he didn't even survive long enough to start the Cell Games."
After a quick meal, Rayden set out with Broly and Paragus to find this time machine Cell.

Elsewhere, in a distant city—
Cell stood atop a tower, absorbing civilians. His power surged.
"Hahahaha!" he roared. "So much life energy! And best of all—Androids 17 and 18 are still alive in this timeline!"
"If I absorb them, I'll reach my perfect form and become the strongest being in the universe!"
Suddenly—
Beep! Beep!
A car horn blared behind him.
"Move, you freak!"
Android 17 leaned out the window of a blue car, glaring at the figure in his way.
Cell turned around, his eyes lighting up.
"Well, well… I was just thinking about how to find you."
He formed an energy ball in his palm—and hurled it.
Androids 16, 17, and 18 jumped out just in time.
Boom!
The car exploded in flames.
Android 17 stood up, furious. "Hey! That was my favorite car, you bastard!"
Cell laughed menacingly. "This is a day worth remembering!"
He spread his arms wide.
"Number 17, Number 18… it's time for you to merge with me!"
