After arranging the wooden treasure chest and other items in respective places, Max then started to row the raft in random direction.
As he was searching for the resources, Max found a large 1-meter shark swimming near him and started to circle around the raft.
Max didn't understand the situation, didn't the system say only when he is near the treasure chest will he find the water beasts which will actively attack the survivors.
Now the shark isn't attacking the raft but aggressively trying to make him change the direction of the raft which he is travelling.

After a deep thought Max felt the treasure chest is under the surface of the ocean instead of floating like the rest of them, so he immediately started to move the raft in the direction he felt the treasure chest is present.
As soon as he arrived, Max sensed the treasure chest was directly beneath his raft. However, his head throbbed as he tried to figure out how to retrieve it from the water while avoiding the shark.
While he was lost in thought, his stationary raft suddenly received a powerful shove from behind, nearly causing him to lose his balance and tumble into the ocean. He managed to steady himself by grabbing the parasol pole, but several items scattered across the raft, which irritated him immensely.
Irritated, he turned around to see the shark, which had been circling the raft earlier, now retreating to a certain distance before charging toward the raft with full force.
Max immediately used his spirit power to direct the raft move out of the course and avoided the second contact with the shark.
As soon as he left out of the range of the shark, it stopped following the raft and divided back into the ocean.

He was glad he has upgraded his raft to level 7 which made his raft durability to 700 and only required few resources to repair all the damage.

After repairing the raft, Max devised a plan and carefully steered it back toward the spot where the treasure chest was located. He waited patiently for the shark to appear. As soon as the shark began accelerating to charge at the raft and push it out of range, Max cleverly pulled out the black Iron-grade spear he had received as compensation and positioned it directly in the shark's collision path.
The shark with maximum force made contact with the spear and max felt immense force transmitted directly into his hands and he was pushed three steps back on the raft.
The shark, with a spear driven into its head, is now thrashing in the ocean, spilling blue blood all around. Occasionally, it crashes into the raft, causing its durability to decrease.
Max watching until it stopped trashing and moved closer to the shark and poked it with the now bent spear and confirmed it was dead.
He placed his hand on the shark, and the system prompted him to confirm whether he wanted to dismantle it. He agreed and obtained one large piece of shark skin, 100kg of shark meat, and 10kg of fish bones.
Max soon found a large bubble started to appear at the place where the shark has died, tensed max drove the raft away from the place and started to observe the place.
Soon a bronze box floated above the ocean surface and started to drift with ocean current.
Max immediately directed the raft and collected the bronze box into the system inventory.
As soon as he claimed the treasure chest, the system prompted him to decide whether to display his name as it prepared to announce his achievement of being the first to slay a monster in the region.
Max paused for a moment before deciding to show only his first name, avoiding his last name because of his notorious fame and past controversies in the previous world.
