As the sun rose in the morning, Max lay soundly asleep on the raft, his quilt pulled snugly up to his neck. Suddenly, a ding, ding, ding noise broke through his deep sleep, startling him awake. In a fright, he looked around, trying to figure out where the sound was coming from.
After searching for a long time, Max found nothing and perplexed by the sound which woke him up, as he was angrily searching for the sound again, he heard the ding sound again and his personal chat panel opened and saw quite a few messages pending to see.
Max realized the noise came from his mailbox, which had automatically unmuted at the pre-set time.
He usually woke up early, but since he had eaten a big meal the night before and went to bed late, he ended up oversleeping, only waking up to the sound of incoming messages.
When he checked his mail, he saw several messages asking him to get in touch. Many were ready to trade resources for building a water purifier and wanted to know his availability.
Max angrily closed the messenger platform and started to get fresh up as he felt quite sticky with the sweat from yesterday and today from yesterdays and today early morning hot sun.
After eating bread for breakfast, Max started to do few exercises as he saw someone saying regular exercise can increase the body attributes but also increase the food consumption.
Max don't have any problem regarding the food so started doing light exercise he has to row the raft all day again.
To be honest, he thought he would gain stat points just by rowing the boats since it was physical labor, but it seems only proper exercise that promotes blood flow in the body can help increase the stats.
He wiped the sweat with a wet rag and patiently began responding to everyone who had inquired about purchasing the water purifier.
As he doesn't have time to row the raft to search for treasure chests as production of water purifiers is keeping him busy, he decided to activate his second skill to attract the nearby treasure chests near to him.
As soon as he activated the talent, Max felt an intuitive sense of treasure chests moving toward him, riding the waves of the ocean from a distant place.
He felt that as long as he followed his intuition, he could reach the treasure chest. However, if he waited here, he wasn't sure how long it would take for the treasure chest to come to him. Since he was busy, he decided to wait and observe how long it would take for one treasure chest to arrive.
Then he received a message requesting him to accept the private trade offer and discovered it was from a girl who appeared pretty and mature, seemingly in her early twenties.
"Brother, I have just killed the shark following the instruction you have shared, thanks to you, now I have gathered required materials please accept the trade and build a water purifier for me."
Max hadn't expected the first to gather the materials to be a girl. He wasn't discriminatory, but he assumed that males would take the lead in killing and collecting materials, given their greater strength to fight off sharks compared to the seemingly frail girl.
"Sure, could you post it on the trade channel? I'll take a screenshot of our trade to share in the chat channel, if that's okay with you," Max asked cautiously.
"Alright, brother, but please blur my name and photo. I don't want others to be harsh on me after finding out I've traded with you," she requested, and Max gladly agreed.
"Are you trading wood logs or a blueprint as the commission for building the water purifier?" Max asked.
"I'm willing to trade an extra blueprint I have as the price, so don't take the material and vanish, brother," she joked.
"Hahaha, that depends on the type of the blueprint you have decide to exchange." Max joked back and accepted the trade request of the material required for the construction of the water purifier.
As soon as the material are ready, Max dragged the materials into the production room and pressed the produce button.
Very soon, a brand-new water purifier appeared before him, and Max quickly placed the purifier into the trade channel and sent her the trade request.
In the nearby area where max is currently in, on a lonely raft which is obviously as sturdy as max, a beautiful girl sat on it and drifting along the waves, there is obvious tension on her face as she was observing the chat panel presumably waiting for someone to contact her.
Her wait didn't last long; she heard a ding song from the system notifying a trade request to exchange the water purifier for a blueprint of her choice.
The trade request brought a smile to her tense face. She quickly pulled a blueprint from her inventory, double-checked to ensure she had selected the right one, placed it in the trade channel, and exchanged it for the water purifier.
Max, eagerly waiting for the trade to conclude, immediately noticed the exchange was complete when the blueprint appeared in his inventory.
With anticipation, Max took out the blueprint and discovered it was for a boat-mounted wooden crossbow. This remarkable device could create a crossbow attached to a boat, capable of rotating 180 degrees and shooting up to 50 meters.
Max was astonished by the blueprint and began to doubt the transaction, so he contacted her to ask whether she wanted the blueprint back since it was too precious, and he didn't want to take advantage of her.
"Miss, did you by mistake send a wrong blueprint, lets re-trade, I feel you have lost in the trade." Max honestly stated his opinion
"No mister, I have sent the correct blueprint. You don't have to feel it's precious since I have another copy to use. Also, I discovered that someone is plotting against you as they contacted me to join their group and exclude you. I felt I should at least help you because they might gang up on you if they find you, so please accept it." She informed him.
"Thank you for the information, miss. My name is Max. I'll send you a private friend request; please accept it so we can stay in touch." Max expressed his gratitude with a warm and appreciative look.
"Yes, Max, my name is Sophia. You can just call me Sophie. I'll accept your friend request in a moment," Sophia replied immediately and happily accepted Max's friend request.
