After upgrading the Raft to level 8 Max immediately opened the chat channel and found many were still arguing about some trivial matter.
Max also found that many has started to follow his advice and started to upgrade the rafts proactively so then can hunt the monster near them and collect the treasure chest.
According to the information he gathered from the chat channel, most of the monsters are sharks and none has found other type of fishes until now.
Max then thought of the 100kg of fish meat he has with him and thought of how to dispose of it as, as he alone can't eat all the meat, and eating the same meat repeatedly won't increase his strength, only the first 1 kilo grams of same species will increase the attributes according to the system instructions.
After a brief though, Max decided to sell 90kgs of meat while he keeps rest of it in his inventory and cook when he is hungry, this amount is enough for him for eat for at least 10 days.
As soon as thought about it, max sprang into action and soon he placed 1kg of shark meat for 100g of different types of spices, 2 or 3 types of different plant seeds or medicine of different types.
As soon as he put the items on the market, the chat channel buzzed with excitement. No one expected him to sell the water beast meat, especially since the system had revealed that consuming it would boost a person's attributes, increasing their chances of survival.
Many members quickly sent him private messages asking to trade the item for basic materials, but Max, who had already muted the message notifications, didn't see them. Even if he had, he wouldn't change his requirements, as the items in question were not crucial for their immediate survival; they were luxuries, except for the medicine.
Perhaps realizing he wouldn't change the requirement, many merchants began selling basic materials needed to collect spices, seeds, and medicine. This caused the prices of basic materials to drop significantly, benefiting everyone in the regional channel. Many openly thanked Max for helping them gather the materials needed to upgrade their rafts by driving down the basic material prices.
As if coordinated beforehand, the 90 kilograms of meat sold out instantly. Many wealthy and influential individuals, disguised in incognito, emerged to purchase the meat, with most managing to secure only about 1 kilogram each. Meanwhile, those who had formed groups through private messages pooled their resources to acquire the majority share of the meat put up for sale.
Max doesn't feel they will become his competitors/ rivals as he is always moving forward with confidence that he will maintain certain gap between them even after selling the extraordinary items.
Max checked the backend and found he has got variety of spices and other cooking essentials, some common tablets for fever, cold, cough, and minor alignments.
Wonder is he didn't receive even one seed from the exchange, Max thought they were being collected by the merchants as many know the preciousness of seeds in ocean survival.
What Max and the other survivors in the ocean don't realize is that Max has received the one and only fertilizer formula. The system has arranged for the person to be the first to kill the ocean beasts to obtain the formula. The others will have to purchase fertilizers from the island master through trade when they visit the island, or they can contact the master through the world channel and exchange via the world trade platform.
Max then sorted the items into the inventory as they might get spoiled easy when kept outside due to the ocean air which is harsh during the days.
Max closed the system interface and began his journey, rowing the oars steadily. Soon, he spotted a black box floating in the ocean. Guiding his raft toward it, Max carefully retrieved the box and brought it aboard. Opening it, he discovered only three items inside: cotton, a disinfectant solution, and a bottle of alcohol that could be used either for drinking or medical purposes.
Max happily placed the supplies in the medical section and set the alcohol on the deck, planning to enjoy a drink that night when he stopped the raft to rest after the day's journey and began moving the raft while taking small rests in between.
And soon night arrived, and max found himself tired from rowing the raft continuous, so he stopped moving and lay on the raft for the rest of the day.
After regaining some energy, he quickly started the fire and began preparing for the feast, as he had all the necessary items with him.
First, he took 1kilo gram of the meat and cut them into fine pieces and marinated them with spices, oil and alcohol.
Then he set the meat aside to let the spices soak in and began making noodles in another bowl, which he had exchanged for a rather high price. He started by chopping vegetables, cooking them first, then adding water to the pot and letting it boil for a few minutes.
While waiting for the water to boil, he grabbed thin sticks and started preparing skewers by threading the meat onto the sticks, alternating with a few vegetables. He arranged the skewers neatly on a wooden board.
As the water began boiling, Max quickly added the noodles and spices, stirring them gently. Once the noodles were cooked, he removed the cookware and covered it with a wooden lid to keep the dish warm until he finished with the barbecue.
After that he took the skewers and started to roast them on the fire while turning them to cook evenly.
As soon as the fish skewers were done, he took them down and let them cool for a minute. In the meantime, he started eating the noodles. Then he added the fish to the noodles and ate them with even more relish.
After he ate his fill, he rested on the raft, having not eaten this much in the past two days.
He felt a small warm current passing through his body, gradually strengthening him in both body and spirit. Max knew the meat's effect had taken hold, and without waking up, he simply lay on the raft until the pleasant sensation faded away.
The warm and pleasant feeling lingered with him for an hour, and Max eagerly opened his status panel to see how much he had improved.
