Chapter 28 - Minor Scale

Yeah, I decided to just skip two episodes. Since not much was happening in them.

__________________________________________________________

After MK had asked Miwa if she wanted to go out, she had fallen into a shadow portal under her that she had created herself without thinking.

Miwa were both surprised and flustered about all of this, but even more so. She ended up all embarrassed because she had pretty much just left without giving him an answer.

She had portaled to Flower Fruit Mountain, not wanting Macaque to see her like this, as the last thing Miwa wanted would be him teasing her about it for days.

Wukong had even tried contacting her, but Miwa had just ignored him and didn't give him an answer.... well besides shouting at him for giving MK that stupid advice.

Trying to avoid everyone asking questions, Miwa had gone on to hide in the dream realm. Though she would still show up for work and her training with Macaque.

But ever since that day, it has been pretty awkward between her and MK, as just being in the same room together was making it hard not to talk about it.

This awkwardness between the two didn't go unnoticed by the others, Mei, though she was a nice friend. Wouldn't stop asking, and if she even mentioned anything romantic between them, they would both try finding an excuse for that not being the reason.

Even as days went by like this, there was still some random stuff going on. Like when Pigsy went all crazy because of a ping pong game, and MK learning how to listen more.

Or the time when there was some food tasting competition between Pigsy and the Ying and Yang brothers. How Miwa ended up being one of the food tasters, she will never understand. Though she did end up talking a bit with Iron Fan, since she was Wukong's daughter and because DBK had once seen her as just a baby.

*A few days later.*

Miwa let out a heavy sigh while she was busy cleaning up the windows at Pigsy's Noodles. "This is stupid, it's already been weeks and I haven't been able to talk with MK."

"Any normal person would already have given an answer, yet I can't get myself to say a word without getting all flustered." Miwa gave another sigh. "MK hasn't said anything about it since that day, so far he seems to act like it never happened... I hope he doesn't feel like I rejected him by leaving like that."

Miwa could see her hands slowly fading as she was growing more worried about having hurt MK's feelings like that. Though she quickly snapped out of her thoughts when she saw him coming into the room with a mop.

MK and Miwa made eye contact with each other, and someone could almost cut through the awkward silence between them. Miwa was the first to look away with a red face and ears, with her tails curling around one of her legs.

MK turned his attention to mopping the floor, as he wasn't sure what to say since the day he asked her out. He didn't want her to know that he felt a little hurt by her leaving right after he asked her, making it clear that she had rejected him.

He had even asked Wukong for some help, but it didn't really help him much, if anything it only made her annoyed. So he had decided to just act like he never asked her, and hopefully they would both just forget about it one day.

*At the Spider Cave.*

"I don't know who taught you how to take revenge, but it ain't normally this boring. Can we hurry this along?" said Spider Queen as she was hanging from above and watching what the mysterious child was doing.

The child let out a sigh and glances over at the Spider Queen. "With time and patience, the mulberry leaf becomes a silk gown. There are still three items we have yet to add to the furnace. Destiny cannot be hurried, my Queen."

The child goes on to move her right hand and reveals three items, some sort of lamp, the golden staff and a small flower.

"So, you keep saying. Well, my patience is growing thin, Little Miss Mystery. At least lighten up a little. Your creepy whisper business is getting on my nerves." said the Spider Queen as she started leaving, only to stop when she noticed some movement. "I see you are back again, I hope you have something more useful that can help me."

Huangse gave her a polite bow before smiling up at her. "As a matter of fact, I do have something for you, my Queen."

From out of nowhere, Huangse pulled out what looked to be a star shaped necklace.

"You can't be serious." said the Spider Queen, seeming annoyed by him giving her some useless necklace. "Unless that stupid necklace of yours can help me take over this place. I ain't taking it. That necklace isn't even to by taste."

"Let's just say it will become very useful in your near future, I can promise you that." said Huangse holding in front of her. "This is a one of a kind and very powerful." He tapped one of the edges of the star necklace and it began changing colors. "Plus, you can easily change the colors to fit your look even better."

The Spider Queen narrowed her eyes at him for a few minutes before taking the necklace out of his hand. "Hmph, I'll believe your words for now."

She began changing around the colors of the necklace as she left the room so she could better get a good look at herself wearing it.

"Giving her that necklace wouldn't help her very much in the long run. Destiny has already decided that for her." said the child having observed them.

"Then destiny shouldn't have any problem with me giving her something as simple as that." said Huang seglancing over at her. "But I'm sure that isn't what you wanna talk about."

The child pulled out the note he had given her the last time they spoke. "Forgive me but I must ask you, how can this be the first step in taking out a wish? Seems a little, simple if I must say."

"Simple yes, but that is the best way to first start breaking an immortal wish. Since it is already in effect, but the wish hasn't taken the full hit of that effect yet." said Huangse as he walked over and took a look at the images. "Though I suppose I could give you some info that you can use against the wish."

Huangse leaned over and whispered some interesting info into the child's ear, who couldn't help but widened her eyes just slightly. But still kept a calm expression.

"Now that is something I can clearly use." said the child as a smirk appeared on her face.

"As for step two." said Huangse as he took a glance at the image of the lamp. "You're gonna have to be using him for it."

"For someone who doesn't wanna hurt mortals. You don't seem to mind pulling those close to the wish into it." said the child.

Huangse just shrugged at that question. "Of course I don't wanna hurt any mortals. Everyone deserves a chance, but a wish is a different story in it all. So, we can't stop anyone from getting thrown into this." He turned around and began leaving. "This will probably be the last you see of me, but some of my other.... acquaintances might jump by to see what is happening."

After he had completely left, the child couldn't help but let out a laugh. "Destiny clearly must be by my side. After al of these years, I might finally get my wish granted."

*Back at Pigsy's Noodles shop.*

MK is seen tired from moping and almost falling over, while Miwa is almost falling over on a couch.

"Look alive, kids! This place needs to be spec and spang! We got a very special guest coming!" said Pigsy, catching the two slacking off.

MK and Miwa glanced at each other, both tired and then back at Pigsy. "Who?"

Just thenTang appeared by the doorway "Did someone say free noodles with a special guest?" He goes on to sit down on a chair up front. "Ooo, fancy!"

"Beat it, Tang! There's only one guy eating free today, and that's—" said Pigsy in a stern tone before getting cut off.

"Would that be the Food Critic Golden Cicada Yum-Yum? Hmmm?" Tang asked with a bit of a smug grin.

"..... You've got to be kidding me." Miwa facepalmed herself.

Tang goes on and pulls out his laptop and shows it to them. It shows Tang's profile, which almost looks like him. Pigsy screamed seeing this but tries to hid his laughter.

"Wow! That's amazing! What a twist." said MK, very surprised and tries reaching over.

Tang sees MK reaching over and notices his dirty hands. So he goes to quickly move further away. "Hmm, spare parts leave something to be desired."

Tang and Pigsy glare at each other until Pigsy gives in with a sigh, Tang crossing his arms with a smug smile. MK was looking at his dirty hands with a raised eyebrow until Pigsy appeared in front of him.

"Now go and wash your hands!" shouted Pigsy at him, then turns to Miwa. "You too!"

"Fine, fine!" Miwa quickly followed right after MK.

"So, what's on the menu?" Tang looked at Pigsy, still wearing his smug smile.

MK goes out back and starts washing his hands in the sink, while Miwa waited for him to finish so she could wash her hands too.

MK let out a heavy sigh. "Go wash your hands, MK, look alive MK, learn to shrink yourself, MK." He let out another sigh. "Maybe if there was someone here to teach me." He goes on to mimic Wukong. "Oh, you'll figure it out bud, just think little!"

Miwa got slightly concerned by how frustrated he sounded, which wasn't very often. She hesitated a little for a moment before reaching out a hand. They hadn't talked much since that day, but they couldn't stay like this forever, and she wanted to be comfortable talking to him again. Without getting all flustered.

"MK?" She tried gaining his attention, but he seemed more focused on his own problems at the moment. The both of them didn't even take notice of MK's hands had started glowing.

MK let out a frustrated groan. "Like I can do this on my own."

Just then a golden explosion happened, causing them both to become small.

"Wait, what!" shouted MK as they had become small.

"What the fuck?!" shouted Miwa taken by surprise.

They both then started screaming as they fell through a hole of a sewer lid. They bumped into a some corners of the pipe they were going through before they landed on the floor.

"Oww, that wasn't fun one bit." groaned Miwa in pain, slowly getting up and rubbing her back before catching on to the sound of voices.

"I did it! I littled both of us! I. AM. ANAZI—" said MK, getting up before Miwa quickly covered his mouth with a hand.

"Sshhh, I hear something." Miwa whispered, with their focus on something else at the moment, they didn't think much about their awkward interaction from before.

MK only now took a look at their surroundings and realizes that they landed in the Spider Queen's lair, of all the places they could end up in.

"MK, just take a deep breath and don't pani—" Miwa tried having him not panic but it was already too late.

"Oh... no, no, no, no, no! The Spider Queen's lair!" MK had already begun to panic knowing where they were right now. "How did we end up here?! Of all the lairs?! Come on!"

"MK, shut up! Your panicking isn't gonna help our situation here!" shouted Miwa, grabbing his shoulders and tried shaking him out of it.

MK and Miwa's voices started echoing throughout the cave, alerting the Spider Queen and the mysterious child.

A smirk appeared on Spider Queen's face when she heard their voices. "The Monkie boy and the Monkie girl! Well, this day just got a little more interesting."

The child turned to look at the Spider Queen. "My Queen, perhaps—"

"Sorry! Can't hear you over the sound of me running to my destiny, bye bye!" said Spider Queen excitedly as she quickly left to find the kids.

After the Spider Queen had left, an eerie smile appeared on the child's face. "Looks like the first step came at the perfect time, destiny is clearly by my side."

*Back with MK and Miwa.*

"It's finally gonna happen. A spider's gonna wrap me up in its butt rope, and then it's gonna eat me!" MK panicked in despair before getting slapping in the face. "Ow!" He placed a hand on his now red cheek.

"MK! Would you please for the love of buddha, calm down?!" shouted Miwa as cosmic energy was surrounding her.

"..... Redson 2.0 is back." MK quietly whispered.

Miwa glared at him, as the cosmic energy only grew bigger by her temper rising. Before taking a deep breath to try and calm herself down. "MK, you panicking isn't gonna help. You're the Monkie Kid, and you are allowed to be scared. But standing around like this isn't gonna help us."

MK tried to relax but was clearly still panicking a bit. "Okay, okay, no. You're right, I am the Monkie Kid! I'm not gonna keep being terrified of spiders my whole life, I can do this. I just need to be a big, brave boy!"

Taking a deep breath and closing his eyes, MK started to focus. His hands slowly started glowing and soon enough a golden explosion happened once again, making them return to normal size.

"I'm a big boy again!" MK cheered after seeing he was back to normal.

"Nice going MK, you're getting better with your powers." said Miwa, happy to not be small anymore.

Seeing that it was just the two of them now, Miwa slowly started growing flustered. Not sure what to say or act around MK.

"Come on, I've gotta say something to break the ice.... I'm the daughter of Wukong, the Monkey King, and Macaque. Being social shouldn't be this hard." Miwa grabbed her head and started messing with her hair in frustration, until gave out a sigh. "Who am I kidding, Dad and Papa are so different when it comes to being social."

"Miwa, are you okay? Are you having another headache?" MK asked, having noticed the look on her face while holding her head, causing him to grow concerned.

"Oh, uhh, no I'm good. No headaches." said Miwa with a nervous smile.

MK rubbed the back of his neck, about to say something when the Spider Queen suddenly appeared behind them, causing the two to slowly turn around.

"Dang it, I'm still scared!" said MK, taking a step back.

"Oh, it's just the Princess, thought it was someone more important." said Miwa, going on to summon her spear.

The Spider Queen let out an evil chuckle. "Come back for more, have you?" She goes on the glare at Miwa. "I told you it's Queen!"

Annoyed by Miwa's comment, she goes to attack them both, but MK quickly grabbed one of Miwa's tails and used his powers again, causing them to disappear into a golden smoke just as Spider Queen goes for a punch in their way. "Huh?! Where they go?!"

"What the hell, MK?! Warn me next time!" shouted Miwa as he had turned them small again.

MK summoned his staff and used it to remove the rock that was lying over them. After doing that he went on to point her staff at the giant Spider Queen in front of them. "HA! I may be tiny, and I may be terrified! But I am not gonna let you eat me! You can stand there and be scary all you want! I'm not sorry!"

"..... MK this is not helping our situation." said Miwa as she facepalmed herself with a sigh.

The Spider Queen turned her attention to the sound of tiny voices and looked down to see both of them. "There you are!"

"Well this isn't good." said Miwa holding up her spear.

The Spider Queen tries to step on them with her spider legs, but the two acted quickly trying to get away from the Spider Queen. Who was destroying everything around her, trying to find the two, until Miwa spotted a crack in a wall.

"MK, over there!" Miwa quickly pointed towards the wall with the crack in it. "We can get away through that!"

"Nice spotted, Lulu!" MK went on to grab Miwa's hand and started sprinting at full speed, and they were able to escape just in time.

Having lost them, the Spider Queen shouted out in anger. "NO!"

In anger the Spider Queen left and hoped to find them somewhere else.

*On the other side of the wall.*

"Well, that was eventful." said Miwa as she was helping MK get out of the hole in the wall as he was slightly stuck.

"Yeah, if you didn't notice that crack in the wall, we would so be spider food." MK let out a laugh as he got help getting unstuck.

Miwa rolled her eyes but a small smile grew on her face, it's been so long since they had been this comfortable talking to each other without it getting awkward between them.

After getting unstuck, MK went on to return them back to normal size again and then began trying to find their way out.

They didn't talk for a bit as they tried finding their way out, but Miwa wanted to apologize to him for leaving like that after having been asked out.

Trying to steel herself and not get all flustered like all the other times. Miwa took a deep breath. "MK?"

"Hm?" MK turn to look at her until he noticed a light by the end of the tunnel they were in. "A way out! Yes, yes ,yes, yes!"

"Oh, well that's good news." said Miwa with a slight smile.

When they started following the light, a sound of someone whimpering could be heard. Catches both of their attention in slight confusion.

"Uh, Hello...?" MK called out summoning his staff as he followed the sound.

Getting a bad feeling, Miwa summoned her own spear from the shadows and stayed close behind MK.

The two followed the sound until they took a small look around some boulders, seeing a crying child curled up.

The sound of their footsteps caught the child's attention and she quickly gasped. "Stay back!"

Miwa recognized the child and held up her spear. Her guard now raised. "Ba He, Mrs. Hua asked me to find her... but it's tricky knowing it isn't really her."

MK noticed Miwa's raised spear and quickly pushed it down. "It's just a kid." He turned to look back at the frightened child. "What are you doing down here?"

Taking a moment to see who it actually was, the child was surprised. "I-It's you... you're the Monkie Kid and Luna Kid!"

Miwa narrowed her eyes at the child, but seeing her acting so different from when she last saw her. Miwa couldn't help but hesitate a bit and think she might be free from that bone demon's control.

"Oh hohoho, so you heard of us, eh? Not surprised, come on, let's get—" said MK, all confidence, until he and Miwa were caught off guard when the child hugged both of them.

"Please, you have to help me! There's not much time!" The child pleaded to them until she started hearing something. "What was that?!"

Voices could be heard echoing eerily through the long hallway. Causing the child to gasp in fear. "What was that!" She let go of the two of them and quickly curls up crying once more.

MK and Miwa gave each other a worried look, so MK gets down on one knee to level with the crying child. "It's ok, I get it. It's scary being alone, but you're not alone now. You've got us."

Miwa gave a slight smile and nodded. But she couldn't help feeling something was off, though she didn't say anything as she didn't want to scare the child even more.

MK goes on and offers his hand. "We'll find a way out together. I promise..."

The child looked at the two and slowly started reaching for MK's hand before she stops mid way, only now realizing something."W-Wait! You'e the Monkie Kid and Luna Kid..." She stands up and quickly starts running. "Come on! You have to follow me!"

The two quickly start running after the child.

"Hey, wait!" shouted Miwa as she was running.

"We really shouldn't be here! Come on." shouted MK, trying to catch up with the child.

The child kept running until she finally stopped in a room. "We can't go yet. Spider Queen is building something... evil." She goes to point at a furnace that was projecting a giant mech.

Miwa narrowed her eyes at the mech, but more so at this room and how the child even knew about all of this. "MK, something doesn't feel right about this." She raised her spear.

"Whatever she's planning. It's all to do with that! I-I've seen you use your staff, surely you could smash that thing. Don't let it hurt someone else, please..." The child pleaded, grabbing MK's arm with concern.

MK gently placed a hand on the child's that was grabbing his other arm. "Okay... but maybe step back." After the child did as she was told, he went on to swing his staff. "Here... comes... Monkie Kid!"

"MK, wait!" shouted Miwa, having caught on to something wrong with that furnace and quickly grabbed hold of the staff as they both stopped when their reflections showed up.

"Wait, is this the Tri-gram furnace from the Celestial Realm! how is this...?" MK asked wondering, and turned to Miwa who glared at the furnace and turned her attention to the child.

"You have to destroy it now! There's no time!" shouted the child in pure panic.

"MK, don't! There is clearly something wrong here." said Miwa, going on to grab her spear once more, turning her attention to the child.

MK glanced between the child and Miwa mumbling to himself. "Trust your instincts..."

"Monkie Kid! Please!" shouted the child.

"Would you shut up!" shouted Miwa, slowly having her spear get surrounded in cosmic energy.

Taking a deep breath, MK used his golden vision and sees a blue skeleton figure. It then flashes to the canisters that were hooked onto the back of DBK.

Shaking his head, MK slowly turns his head to then see images flash of Wukong being trapped and DBK going crazy. A giggle echoes as a blue tornado appears, the child's true form being revealed.

MK slowly backs away after seeing this and ends up hitting his back against the furnace. "It's you, you're—"

Miwa raised her spear and went for the first strike.

"I... am the Lady Bone Demon...!" An eerie smile appeared on the child now known as LBD when her eyes started glowing blue as she tried to control MK's mind, along with Miwa who had stopped in her tracks and was grabbing her head.

"I knew something was wrong... y-you crazy bone woman!" Miwa growled, but was struggling with the headache she was getting from LBD trying to control her mind. It didn't help that flashes of the memories of when she ripped her body apart in the dream realm.

LBD slowly started walking towards them. "MK, I apologize, but I need to take that staff."

Through his struggles, MK picked up his staff and tried to run away.

"Calm yourself... it's pointless to deny me..." said LBD before then turning her attention to Miwa, who was trying to break free of the headaches. "Once again you are all alone, and no one to save you... that must be very sad and painful for you."

Miwa glared at LBD, raising her spear and tried swinging at her. "Shut up! I don't need anyone to save me, not from you or anyone else!"

LBD dodged her attempts at striking her, and just walked closer until she stopped in front of her. "You guess you are right, after all... Your parents have never been there when you really needed them. Even now, they don't seem to care that they have a child who needs them."

Miwa took a step back, more of her body started fading as LBD kept talking. But she shook her head as she pointed her spear shakily at her. "Don't you dare say that, you don't know anything! So don't act like you care when you've been trying to kill me all this time!"

LBD titled her head slightly, her face calm and not seeming to back away. "But you are a wish, granted to create a family with loving parents, yet... that wish has long been forgotten and destroyed. Now you are nothing else, but a wish without a purpose. Not even able to die."

Miwa felt her headache was getting worse, as she dropped her spear and grabbed her head. A symbol on her forehead slowly showed up, while her body was fading.

LBD noticed the symbol on her forehead, and coudln't help but smirk. "Looks like even your powers have been suppressed. Though not for long if you keep getting stronger." She raised her hand and gently placed a finger on the symbol.

Miwa felt a sharp pain and started screaming, trying to grab LBD's arm but her hands just went right through her.

Hearing Miwa screaming in pain, MK rushed over and tried striking LBD's face.

"We helped you! I thought you were-!" said MK, now standing between her and Miwa, who was holding her head and shaking in pain. Though her body had stopped fading.

"A helpless girl? Oh, yes, my disguise has fooled many. This body in particular is quite useful. For now..." said LBD, glancing from Miwa and over at MK, who was trying to protect her.

"I'm not gonna let you win. I'll tell Monkey King—" said MK, before getting cut off by LBD taunting his mind, causing him to drop his staff.

"Sun Wukong... do you really think he doesn't already know all about me? Curious, he's not with you now, is it not. Ah, I see, you have begun to suspect what he already knows... that he made the wrong choice... picked the wrong successor..." LBD taunted, standing over MK, who had fallen to his knees.

"M-MK..." Miwa mumbled, slowly glancing over at him as her headaches were slowly disappearing.

"You were right, you know." LBD switches to her innocent face, seeming to taunt him a bit more. "It's scary being alone!" Her eyes then started to glow blue again. "I do pity you..."

MK is grabbed by the throat as LBD lifts him up into the air. "You're just a piece in a game you simply cannot possibly comprehend..."

Miwa weakly summoned her spear and slowly used it to get up on her feet. "Shut... up..." Her eyes glowing a bit red, before turning golden again. Though even her golden eyes had begun flashing as if they were going away.

LBD took a short glance over at Miwa. "Don't be all that upset, if you really wanna be angry. Then you should be at Macaque for making that wish of you, from the Wishing Stars in the first place."

Just then an explosion was heard, causing a shock in the room behind MK, making LBD to let him go.

MK quickly rushed over to Miwa, as he noticed her struggling to stay on her feet. Before turning his attention to what could have caused that explosion.

Spider Queen chuckled as she appeared. "Monkie Kid! Luna Kid! Enough waiting! I'm going to enjoy this!"

Miwa tried summoning her clones, but in her weakened state she could hardly keep her own shadow spear solid for very long. But just then, she thought for a second she caught someone watching them from behind some of the rubble that Spider Queen had made.

MK looked around trying to figure of something until he got an idea, and made sure he firmly had a hold on Miwa. "Think little!"

The two quickly disappeared in a golden explosion just as Spider Queen was charging at LBD. She blocks Spider Queen's attack by using her power causing the Spider Queen to get knocked into a wall. Giving MK and Miwa to takes the chance to run away.

LBD slowly turned her head as she watched the two run away. "Run along... Destiny will find you soon enough..."

*Some time later.*

MK crawls through a hole of a sewer lid, while helping Miwa get out too. Who was still a little shaken up.

"Miwa, are you alright? What did she do to you?" MK asked, worried about her.

Miwa at the moment had a lot of thoughts running through her head, not sure what to believe or say as she turned to MK. "I-I'm fine, just a little exhausted after all of that."

"You sure? It was pretty crazy down there after what we just went through." said MK, slowly helping her up on her feet.

"Yeah.... I just... think I need some time to gather my thoughts for a bit." said Miwa with a small smile.

"Yeah same here." said MK, glancing over at Pigsy's Noodle shop.

Miwa gave a small nod before letting go of MK, summoning her spear to not fall over.

"You wanna go back in together?" MK asked, but she just hook her head at him.

"I think I'm just gonna go back home." said Miwa, taking a glance at the shadows.

"To Macaque, I'm guessing?" said MK, looking at her.

".... No, not this time. I'm going back to my apartment." said Miwa and slowly fell into a shadow portal.

*At Miwa's apartment.*

Miwa appeared back in her apartment that was now all fixed up, and let herself lay down on her couch. Glancing up at the ceiling with a sigh, as her body were slowly fading once more. "..... Was she right? Do my pare–Wukong and Macaque, not really care about me anymore? Am I just something they see as a waste of time and just decided to... fix?"

Tears began forming in Miwa's eyes as she grabbed a pillow and started hugging it. "... Would dying have been easier on everyone? Has all of this just been for nothing?"

Miwa didn't know how long she had been stuck in her own thoughts, until someone was leaning over the couch and looking down at her.

"I had a feeling you might be here, since you never showed up for your training. And I couldn't find you anywhere else." said Macaque, taking in the state she was in.

"Go away... I wanna be alone." Miwa turned around not to look at him.

Macaque raised a questionable eyebrow. "Come on, Freckles, I even went as far as to bring some mangos with me." He pulled out a basket of mangos from the shadows.

Miwa just ignored him and didn't even give a reaction to the smell of mangos.

"Okay then." Macaque placed the basket on a table and then went to stand in front of her, crossing his arms. "What's wrong? Clearly something must have upset you."

"Oh really, what made you think that?" said Miwa sarcastically. "Why would you even care?"

Macaque glanced at her but decided to ignore her attitude. "Shouldn't a parent like, care about their kid?" He went to pat her head, but his hand just got slapped away.

"Would you care more about your kid, than taking your revenge on Dad?" Miwa asked, glazing up at him.

"Miwa, we've talked about this. I'm not changing my mind on killing that bastard." said Macaque with a heavy sigh.

"Then just leave!" Miwa threw her pillow at him, and stood up on the couch. "That's what you're both good at right?! Leaving, and not giving a shit about your own child! Or should I even say wish?!"

Macaque were slightly taken aback by this outburst, reminding him of the fight he had with Wukong when he first got sealed under a mountain. "Little shadow, where did you even hear that? You aren't some wish, you're my and... Wukong's kid."

"Then why can't you two put enough love and care into your own kid?! After having been lost for so many years, only for us to finally be reunited!" Miwa screamed at him with tears running down her face, even her eyes had stopped glowing golden and had returned to their normal human eye color.

Macaque went to try and grab her wrist, but his hand just went right through her. So he couldn't help but being shocked to see her body fading. "What happened to her?"

Miwa stepped away from him, tears still running down her face. "Just leave... please.... Pa–Macaque..." She turned her head, not able to look him in the face.

Macaque were very concerned for her, but knew that he shouldn't push it. "Alright, I'll give you some space. But if you need me, you know where to find me."

With that Macaque disappeared into a shadow portal, while Miwa fell to the floor crying into her hands.
