Chapter 1 - Marked by the Vampire Dragon

CHAPTER 1- Marked by the Vampire Dragon

Long ago, the world of Feneraq was guarded by dragons—majestic, wise, and bonded to humankind by sacred flame.

Together, they built kingdoms of peace, soaring above the clouds and protecting the lands below.

But not all believed in unity.

From the shadows rose the Witches of Black Thorn, a coven twisted by greed and hatred.

They vowed to sever the bond between dragon and man…

by establishing the Five Deadly Sins across the world.

War erupted. Kingdoms burned. And trust shattered.

Now, centuries later, peace is fragile. Dragons still soar… but fear lingers in every corner of Feneraq.

And deep within the crimson moon's curse…

a child is born.

Year 1249.

In the Kingdom of Valdhia, the sky burned crimson beneath the light of the blood moon. A woman screamed in pain, her cries echoing through the stone halls as she went into labour. Doctors surrounded her, working urgently.

The king Orness entered, heart racing, eager to witness the birth of his child.

The baby was born-bathed in the blood of it's mother, wailing with life.

The mother smiled weakly, her eyes filled with joy as mother, wailing with life.

but then, the doctors froze.

Their eyes fell on the infant's neck-a dark mark pulsed faintly beneath the skin.

It was unmistakable.

The curse of the Vampire Dragon.

The king stepped back, fear flickering in his eyes. Without hesitation, he gave the order:

"Kill the child immediately"

To him, it wasn't just a baby-

It was a threat.

The vampire Dragon had once brought terror upon the land, slaughtering countless humans, even as other dragons stood as allies.

That cursed blood was not welcome in the kingdom.

As the king raised his hand to seal the child's fate, the woman screamed-

"Please! She's still your child"

She fell to her knees, clutching the bloodstained sheets, tears pouring from her eyes.

But the king didn't flinch.

He stepped forward and kicked her aside like filth.

"Silence. You tricked me with cursed blood."

The woman gasped, pain in her eyes-not just from the blow, but from the truth.

It was clear.

He never loved her. Not even once.

with the wave of his hand, the guards moved.

"Arrest her. She's cursed too"

The newborn girl, still wailing softly, was held in trembling hands.

A blood-red mark pulsed on her neck-

the sign of the Vampire Dragon.

Suddenly-

BOOM!!!

The castle walls shook violently as a massive dragon smashed through the upper tower.

Windows shattered, glass flying like knives through the airs.

Guards screamed, dust and flame filled the chamber-chaos erupting in an instant.

In the confusion...

The newborn slipped from the healer's arms.

"NO!" the mother cried, but it was too late.

The baby girl tumbled from the broken tower window-

-and into the raging river below.

The current swept her tiny body through the cold water, helpless and alone...

Until something moved beneath the surface.

A pair of glowing, gentle blue eyes emerged-

A baby Water Dragon, no longer than a horse, rose from the depths.

With a soft cry. it caught the child in its scaled arms, curling protectively around her.

Then, without a sound, it turned downstream- carrying her far away from the heart of Valdhia... to a quiet village hidden at the kingdom's edge.

As the moon faded and down lit the sky with gold. The dragon reached the riverbank. Gently. it placed the baby girl beneath a flowering tree at the faint red glow of her cursed mark- but her cries had stopped. The dragon looked at her one last time. Then, with a deep. sorrowful cry. it vanished into the river's depths. Never to be seen again.

The nest morning...

A woman from the village passed by the riverside on her usual walk. She paused- eyes widening at the sight of the small sleeping baby wrapped in soft river mess.

Her heart stopped. Tears welled in her eyes as she rushed forward.

"A... baby" she whispered voice trembling. She lifted the child gently into her arms. hugging her close. She had longed for a child for years and now, by some miracle- one had arrived.

Little did she know...

This baby was no ordinary child...
