The pair faced away from Arthur's unconscious body and talked.
"We need to find that damned wolf. He just vanished. And knowing him, he's most likely lurking somewhere around here still."
Revan looked at her and sighed deeply.
"Why did we need to attack them again?"
"I have no grudge against the boy. But it's not a smart idea to let his little companion roam around the mortal realm."
"Yet you still haven't explained it to me yet. God I'm so dead when I get home…"
Revan grit her teeth as Aria turned to face the body of Arthur. Or, where the body should've been.
"…he was there just a moment ago. Correct?"
Revan turned around and seemed a bit shocked. But nodded.
"Thats correct…"
As if on time. An obsidian great sword hurled towards Aria's side. She dashed back and threw Revan out of the way. Arthur stood there, clearly not all there. His entire body was covered in a thick red aura. And he seemed to be almost foaming at the mouth. His eyes darting everywhere. He dashed towards the white haired woman with a fierce beastial sprint.
His dragged his hand across the ground beneath her, the ground started to emanate red cracks. Before she could react. The ground beneath her burst into a fiery pillar of red aura. She protected herself using the white flame as Revan released a flurry of fierce arrows. Arthur burst through the pillar and slashed across Aria. As she attempted to block with her Rapier, the blade simply cut through it. The thick red aura of destruction failed to penetrate the white flames covering her body though. And as he attempted to pierce through in a mindless manner.
As he swam in the depths of his own mind he could only hear a few things. A message.
[Your 'fate' has been determined.]
Arthur once again found himself in the depths of his mind. Though, it felt different than what it was last time. Instead of a shallow puddle. He was swimming in a deep ocean of boundless nothingness.
[Your 'fate' is…]
The message trailed off. And Arthur couldn't hear the rest. Although he was curious for the end. He found he didn't particularly care. As he floated through the abyssal depths. He didn't care about anything.
'Hmph…why does anything even matter anyways? I already know the fate of this world…why do I dare try to change it?'
The abyssal depths started to grow just a little brighter. One single little tiny string connected to his finger turned into tens, into hundreds, into thousands, into millions, into an infinite number of things. His head throbbed, yet he couldn't take his eyes off the beautiful sight. Yet as he peered, there seemed to be a lone figure in front of him. She bore an odd resemblance to Revan. Except her eyes were an emerald green. So bright. Yet so empty. She smiled as she looked at Arthur. Her finger trailing across his cheek.
"Finally…I've found you…"
Arthur's head felt like it was going to explode. As the current in his mind started to throw him back. As if protecting him, the demon made of blue flames caught him. Floating in the abyss with him.
"Look away."
The demon twisted Arthur's head so it faced away from the endless strings and the unknown woman. He grunted as he tossed Arthur away into the depths and burst through the water, as if he was running normally.
Arthur was a bit too out of it to even get a semblance of what was going on. It was a bit comical. The demon grabbed Arthur.
"Sorry. Kid. But I'm going to have to enter your body for a few minutes."
