Sometime has passed since Twilight became an Alicorn and we can find her in Canterlot along with her friends trying to learn how to fly with Twilight having difficulty due to never flown in her life on top of that she very nervous at the fact she will be playing an important role. A moment later her friends had to return to Ponyville in order to prepare for Summer Sun Celebration on the request of Mayor Mare to Twilights dismay but she would be reassured that they will always be connected through the Elements of Harmony. Later as the sun begin to sets Spike suggests since they are ahead of the preparations they should made a quick visit to Ponyville how ever Twilight was worried that either something important came up while they gone or we were delayed while on our way back or we somehow lost the list and could remember what we had finished and what we still had to done to which Spike answer so were not going to. which Twilight answers these are first royal duties bestowed by Princess Celestia I can't risk letting her down to which Princess Celestia would say I'm sure that you won't as she enters the room where Twilight and Spike are staying leading to both of them to bow to which Celestia would say there is no need for you to bow Princess Twilight to which she say sorry leading to Celestia to say there is no need for you apologize. Celestia would then remarks that she and Lorien who is currently just outside the door to Twilight's and Spikes room feel like the can enjoy the Summer Sun Celebration for the first time leading to Twilight to ask what she means to which Celestia explains that to our subjects it was a celebration of Nightmare Moon's defeat but for me and Lorien it has been a reminder for the last thousand years of how we had to banish our own sister. Upon hearing Celestia's statement would reply by saying I never thought about that to which Celestia would say now the Summer Sun Celebration has become a remind of our happy reunion and I am glad that you will be playing an important role in the Celebration Twilight and I know it may have been difficult to see your friends return to Ponyville while you stay here to which Twilight states it is a little difficult then Celestia states that even though she is no longer her teacher Celestia states that she will always be there when you need me just like I hope you will always be here when I need you. After talking with Twilight Celestia and Lorien would call it a night then as both siblings head for their respective rooms some kind of black vine would break through the floor and would attack both Celestia and Luna as well as injuring Lorien who was caught off guard by the attack. As Twilight wakes she finds to her shock that it's both day and night outside leading to Spike to ask her what is going to which Twilight say I don't know but we are going to find out then as the two head outside they are flocked by the residence of Canterlot want to know what is going on then two royal guard pull aside to inform that both Princess Celestia and Princess Luna have disappeared and that Prince Lorien has been injured. Upon learning about the two sister disappearance and Prince Lorien injuries both Twilight and Spike would become shocked then the royal guard would ask Twilight are her orders, after a moment Twilight would compose herself and order the royal guard to continue the search for Princess Celestia and Princess Luna and to inform if they find any clue on what happened to them to which the royal guards understood and would leave to search for the two Princesses then Lorien would appear surprising both her and Spike with both of the noticing that he hasn't recover from his injuries to which he states that his injuries aren't bad enough to keep him in bed however he can't use his magic to fight because his magic is the only thing keeping him standing suddenly a royal guard would enter to inform Twilight and Lorien that the Everfree Forest seems to be invading Ponyville shocking Twilight, Lorien and Spike which would lead to the little dragon to faint. Meanwhile in Ponyville the inhabitants seem to be dealing with an infestation of black vines which appears to be causing trouble in different forms such as the black vines grow out of control while causing unicorns magic to go hay wire and on top of that spiky black clouds also appear which attack anyone who flies to close to them. Hearing what is going on in Ponyville Twilight along with Spike would head for Ponyville to retrieve the Elements of Harmony and work together with her friends in order to deal with the current crisis with Lorien tagging along just in case he is need. After arrive to the Golden Oak Library Twilights friends who were in the library searching for any information on the invading black vines but so they have found nothing leading to the Twilight's friends to ask her if Princess Celestia has a plan but to their shock Twilight reveals that both Princess Celestia and Princess Luna have disappeared while Prince Lorien has been injured to the point where he has to use his magic to keep himself standing. After analyzing the situation Twilight believes that Discord is somehow behind this to which Lorien states you are correct that the black vines, spiky clouds and the half day and half night sky maybe caused by Discord's powers however I have been keeping an eye on Discord plus I can sense when ever Discord uses his powers. After getting over the fact that Lorien could sense if Discord has used his powers the mane six are no closer to figuring out what is going on then Discord would appear and comments that he likes what they have done with the past to which Lorien who would speak in a demanding tone would ask Discord if he know something about what is going on to which Discord would say well I could but he would simply say I won't tell you since you were being rude when asking me about what's going so I suggest you ask your zebra friend over there, everyone would look to where Discord was pointing and would see Zecora had just escaped the Everfree Forest which has become over run with the black vines. As Twilight and her friends check to see if Zecora was alright she would explain that the forest has become to wild for her then Twilight would ask her if she might know what is going on to which Zecora answers that she has a potion that may be able to give us answers but in order to activate it it needs alicorn magic to which Lorien suggests that Twilight be the one to activate it as well as use it since he is still recovering. After using her magic on the potion she would then drink it then she would the events of the past specifically the night Celestia banished Nightmare Moon, the day Discord was first defeated and final she would see where the Elements came from the Tree of Harmony. As the vision ends Twilight's friends ask her if she has figure out what is going on to which Twilight explains that the Tree of Harmony is in danger causing her friends to become confused to which Twilight explains that the Tree of Harmony is the place where Princess Celestia and Princess Luna discovered the Elements then explain that the Tree of Harmony is located in the Everfree Forest underneath the Castle of the Two Sisters. Knowing where to start Twilight and her friends would enter the forest to search for the Tree of Harmony while Prince Lorien stays in Ponyville to recover his strength, knowing that Prince Lorien will be there for Equestria gave Twilight and her friend the drive need to reach the Tree of Harmony which is be covered by spiky vines then after a moment Twilight realizes that thy need to return the Elements to the Tree in order to purge the black vines to which her friends state that they need the Elements to protect Equestria to which Twilight states that should our darkest hour come we know where to find the Elements and also they Elements may have brought us together but it's our friendship that keeps us connected. After making that statement twilight would attempt to return the Elements to the Tree which she would struggle due to the black vines but would succeed in return the Elements to the Tree of Harmony which would purge the black vines then she would see some black vines clear away revealing both Princess Celestia and Princess Luna who were kidnapped by the vines who would commend Twilight for having the courage to give up the Elements which was a difficult choice to make then a flower would sprout from one of the Tree of Harmony's roots which would reveal a lock chest that has six lock which means it requires six keys to unlock it leading to Celestia to comment this looks like a challenge both you and your friends need to solve. A moment later the mane six would exit the forest where they were greeted by both Discord and Prince Lorien then Twilight would learn that the events with the black vines was a backup plan of Discord of he was defeated by the two sisters leading to Twilight to ask why did Discord withheld this piece of information to which Discord would say now why would I rob you of your first lesson on being a princess then Twilight would turn her attention to Lorien leading to her to ask him if he knew about this to which Lorien would explain that he had suspected and would also state that this was her trial. The next day in Canterlot the Summer Sun Celebration would proceed as plan with Celestia now declaring that this event no longer marks the defeat of Nightmare Moon but the return of Princess Luna which would cause the cause the crowd to cheer then Princess Luna would lower the moon while Celestia raises the sun with Twilight creating a projection of her cutie mark as the both the sun and moon pass each other and with that Twilight had successfully completed her first duty as princess.
Sometime would pass since the Summer Sun Celebration and a lot of has happen since the Summer Sun Celebration such as the migration of the Breezies which the Breezies were surprise to see Lorien again but were glad to see him none the less with the mane six learn that Prince Lorien had visited the land of the Breezies many times over the years and had do a lot for the Breezies like giving them protection when needed as well as other kind of aid while at the same time meet certain Breezies who were old friends he had made over the years. The second event of interest was Prince Lorien visit to the Crystal Empire during the Equestrian Games surprising everyone who were watching and participating the games especially the Crystal Ponies to which he would explain that there was no way he was going to miss history in the make leading to him to clarify that this was the first time that the games being held in a nation that has recently returned and restored to it's prime while wanting to catchup with the inhabitants of the Empire which the Crystal Ponies were glad to since they have good memories of Prince Lorien who has visited the Crystal Empire for many years even before Sombra took over the Empire. Currently in the Crystal Empire where we can find all the royal alicorns welcoming duke and duchess of Maretonia however during the meeting Lorien would notice that Twilight seems to be down which would lead to Cadance to ask her what's wrong to which Twilight would explain that she feels like that her role as a princess is as important as the rest of you to which Lorien who understood what she is going though leading to him to say Twilight you may not believe it but I understand what you are going through, back when I was slightly younger then you were I didn't know what my purpose which would surprise not only Twilight but his sister and Cadance then Lorien would reveal that one day a long time ago I discovered what I wanted to do with my life as well as decided what my purpose was going to be and once I made my choice I kept moving forward. Lorien would then share a piece of wisdom I learned a long time ago which goes like this faith sustains us when reason says we can't continue leading to say before Twilight could speak Lorien would say if you think that reason is useless to the contrary it's not useless but reason alone isn't enough faith and reason are the shoes on your hooves you can go farther with both then with just one which would confuse Twilight and the other princess to which Lorien would further explain that faith and reason are also in a way like the sun and moon mean one can not exist without the other leading to the four princesses to understand the piece of wisdom Lorien is sharing which would cheer Twilight up. Meanwhile in a dark ally in a town in Equestria we find a unicorn who comes across a hooded figure who would reveal himself as Lord Tirek who would drain the unicorn of his magic and would cause Lord Tirek to grow in size and power, back in the Crystal Empire Celestia would awaken from her sleep after being startled by a dream of Lord Tirek but would learn that it wasn't a dream but a vision after Luna had entered the room to inform her sister after Celestia had awoken from said vision. The following morning Celestia would tell Lord Tirek's backstory and how his brother Scorpan who had come to appreciate the ponies' ways, and even befriended a young Starswirl the Bearded then would warn Celestia, Luna and Lorien leading to Lord Tirek to become imprisoned while Scorpan returned to his homeland. After tell Lord Tirek's backstory Celestia would explain that Tirek escape his prison in Tartarus when Cerberus temporary left his post but during his imprisonment in Tartarus Tirek had become weakened leading to Tirek to use his dark powers to regain his strength. Cadance would then elect Twilight to be the one to recapture him to which Twilight was going accept however Celestia would woefully say that she will be asking Discord to recapture Tirek shocking everyone. Upon hearing that Celestia will be asking Discord to recapture Tirek Lorien would be the one to object to this leading to him to ask his sister if she was making the right choice to which Celestia explained that Discord can sense any magic abnormality to which Lorien reply by saying that's not what I am talking about I mean can Discord be trusted. Upon hearing what her brother was getting at Celestia would about to explain further but would be interrupted by her brother who would state you think that Discord has changed enough that he wouldn't be tempted by Tirek to join him causing not only Celestia but Luna, Cadance even Twilight to ponder Lorien's words however Celestia I do understand where your coming from brother but you are going to have to trust me to which Lorien begrudgingly would say fine but I am still going to take precautions just in cause to which Celestia would simply say do what you think is need. The follow day after Discord had left to capture Tirek but not before he suggested that Twilight looks through the journey she and her friends made specific chapters Discord bookmarked leading to Twilight and her friends to discover that the items that were gifted to them after each of the them face a trial that challenged their respective elements leading to them to discover that once the items were placed onto the chest those items turned into a key which would enter five of the locks however there was still one key missing which was Twilights Element but before she and her friends could try to figure out where they could find it Twilight would get a letter from Celestia telling her to come to Canterlot immediately. After arriving in Caterlot Twilight would be informed that Discord had betrayed them and sided with Lord Tirek shocking her leading to Lorien to say I had a feeling that this might happen. Celestia would then state that Tirek has regained enough to steal the magic Pegasi, Unicorns and Earth Ponies then Luna would state it would be a matter of time before Tirek comes for our Alicorn magic and once he has absorbed it he would become unstoppable. Celestia would then explain to make sure that doesn't happen we must rid ourselves of our alicorn magic before Tirek has the chance to steal it. Luna would then explain that since Tirek does know about the existence of a fourth Alicoen Princess but then Twilight would point out the fact that Tirek also doesn't know about Lorien's true nature to which Lorien would state even if Tirek learns that I am an Alicorn I doubt he would find me. After hearing Lorien's statement Twilight would ask what does he mean to which Lorien would explains that even though it goes against the vow I took many years ago I will not be here when Tirek arrives leading to Twilight to become shocked then Celestia would ask so what will you do to which Lorien answered I will watch over Twilight to make sure she is handling the extra magic and to make sure she stays as far away from Tirek as possible then Luna would ask what your magic to which Lorien would state I can't let Twilight hold to which Cadance would be the one to ask why not to which Lorien states because if Twilight absorbs my magic alone it would cause her to lose the ability to use magic forever and if she absorbs my magic as well as Celestia's, Luna and Cadance's it would kill her. Lorien's statement would shock all four princess leading to Twilight to ask is your magic that powerful with the other three alicorn princesses asking the same thing leading to Lorien how did become so powerful to which Lorien would simply say one day I will tell you all about my powers but it will not be today. After hearing Lorien's answer the three alicorn princesses would return their attention to the task of transfering their magic to Twilight which would succeed. The next day Tirek would arrive and would try to steal Celestia's, Luna's and Cadance magic only to find that their magic is gone leading to him to demand the Princesses to tell him what have they do with their magic but the three alicorns would remain silent. A moment later Discord would appear and ask the alicorn princesses where is Lorien which would catch Tirek's attention leading to Tirek to ask Discord what he is talking about to which Discord would say I will only answer your question if prove to me that we are partners to which Tirek as a sign of his gratitude and loyalty Tirek would give Discord a medallion that was given to him by "someone very close." After receiving the medallion and getting proof of their partnership Discord would explain that the Lorien who was the bodyguard Celestia and Luna is the same Lorien I am talking about in fact Lorien is Celestia's and Luna's older brother making him the only prince out of the five alicorns. Upon hearing that Lorien is an alicorn and that their is a fourth alicorn princess would lead to Tirek to ask Discord where he could find both the fourth alicorn princess and Lorien to which Discord replies by saying that Princess Twilight can be found a in the Ponyville library as for Lorien I really don't know where he is. After hearing Discord answer Tirek would go looking for Twilight after he had sent Celestia, Luna and Cadance to Tartarus. Hours later Tirek who had drained the magic from Twilight's friends would drain the magic from Discord shocking him leading to Discord to ask why did you betray me and didn't you say the person who gave you this medallion was a sign of your gratitude and loyalty and that it was given by someone close to you to which Tirek would reply by saying it was given to me by my who betrayed me which makes that medallion as worthless as him. Meanwhile with Twilight she would practice the magic Celestia, Luna and Cadance gave her while Lorien would watch over her but then Tirek who was currently searching for Twilight which she would accidentally expose herself but would escape to the Golden Oak Library the use her telescope to see what Tirek is doing which she would see a magic blast heading towards her leading Twilight to teleport herself and Owlowiscious just as the blast hits the Library destroying it in the process shocking Twilight which would give her the drive to fight Tirek resulting in both of to clash for some minutes that would leave a few wounds in the earth then since both Tirek and Twilight were on equal footing Tirek would use her friends as a bargaining chip. During that moment Twilight would agree to Tirek's terms but only if he releases all of her friends which includes Discord to which Tirek question's her request even after what he had done but Tirek would agree to her term then as they agreed Twilight would willingly allow Tirek to drain the alicorn magic. After absorbing the princesses alicorn magic Tirek would become almost unstoppable but then the one person Tirek was searching for after learning about that person's true nature with that said person being in front of him leading to Twilight to say Prince Lorien what are you doing to which Lorien would answer I am here to by enough time to find a solution to defeat Tirek. After making that statement Lorien would fire a magic blast at Tirek push said centar back to which Tirek would return fire with a magic blast of his own to which Lorien fire back leading to both magic blasts to explode causing debris to cover both fights for a moment but the two would remove the debris off their bodies then Tirek would say your very challenging not like your sister which would lead to Lorien to say what talking about to which Tirek who is now smirking would say when I tried to absorb the magic from your sisters and when I found that their magic was gone I decide to beat the answers out of them. That statement would anger Lorien resulting in him to use his magic for close courter combat which is what Tirek want then as Lorien was about to ram him Tirek would use his magic to hold Lorien in place long enough to drain him of all his magic but as he was drain Lorien something unexpected would Tirek's horn were beginning to crack which Tirek would notice and stop drain Lorien of his magic to which said prince would smirk and say what's wrong bitten off more than you can chew to which Tirek would say how could you have this much power to which Lorien would say sorry that my secret. Lorien would continue to fight Tirek but then suddenly then mane would appear in new forms which was a result from Twilight receiving the final key from the person who were touched by the mane six when they were faced with an event that challenged their respective element with Twilight's key being the medallion that Discord would give to her as a sign of their true friendship. Upon seeing the mane six Tirek would demand to how you still have magic to which Twilight states I may have take my alicorn magic but I possesses the strongest magic of all leading to the mane six to fire a rainbow beam at Tirek resulting in being banished to Tartarus as well as the magic he had stolen being returned to their rightful owners then suddenly the chest that gave the mane six rainbow powers would fly to a spot just outside Ponyville where like a seed would plant itself in the ground resulting in a crystal castle to sprout. After defeating Tirek the mane six now standing in from of the newly sprout castle Twilight would wonder who the new castle is for to which Princess Celestia who along with Luna and Cadance who appeared with Spike, Discord and Lorien would say I believe this new castle is yours Princess Twilight. As the group walks down the corridors of the new castle Celestia would ask Twilight if she now knows what her role as a princess is to which Twilight would answer by saying as princess I believe that I have the power to spread magic of friendship across Equestria that is the role that I am meant that I choose to have but it took me and my friends to defeat Tirek. On that day Twilight Sparkle would become know as the Princess of Friendship with Celesita comment "But what is the princess of friendship without her friends?"
