While Starlight,Spike and Sunburst where head to where Twilight and the others current location the three of them would notice the clouds were heading towards then city leading to them to wonder what's happening but what they were about to learn that the new born baby broke the Crystal Heart which was a result from when the baby cried. Upon arriving Starlight would ask what happened to which Twilight would explain what had happen and that if they don't restore the Crystal Heart then the Crystal Empire will covered in ice and snow from the clouds that are heading this way then Sunburst got an idea which was to use the Crystaling combined with a few spells and it would succeed and as a added bonus everyone including Celestia, Luna, Starlight and Sunburst would see why they Crystal Ponies call Lorien the Prisim Prince. Later at the train station Shinning Armour's and Twilight's parent would arrive to meet their granddaughter Flurry Heart while Starlight and Sunburst agree to stay in touch then Sunburst being curious about the advice that Lorien share with Starlight leading to him to ask Prince Lorien about his blood brother causing both Celestia and Luna surprised at while everyone else would shock. Celestia would then ask her brother that he actually talk about his blood brother to which would explain that he only share some advice with Starlight from that came from his experience, everyone would then ask Celestia, Luna and Lorien about Lorien's blood brother to which both Celestia and Luna would explain that they don't know as much as everyone thinks then would explain that all they do know that Lorien's blood brother was called Talion and they were the best of friends that did everything together then Twilight would interject and say until Talion died to which both sisters confirmed then explained that after his brother's death their brother had become distant and had closed himself off from everyone except both of us then Twilight would interject stating that was until he met his wife which the sister would say correct. Upon seeing Lorien the dragons where ready to fight him with Dragon Lord Torch demand to know who Lorien is and why he is to which Lorien would say in a tone that indicates that he was pretend to be hurt to which Twilight, Rarity and Spike would notice as he says you don't remember Torch I'm then would change his tone to a more serious one as he says how could about the person you gave you your scar. Upon hearing Lorien's statement it would Torch's daughter Princess Ember would say my father doesn't have a scar and if he did don't think he wouldn't hide something like that to which Lorien would reply by saying do you think your father wears that chest plate because he wants to no he wears it in order to cover the scar that symbolizes his most humiliating event in his life the moment he was beaten by a pony. After making that statement Lorien would use his magic to remove Torch's chest plate revealing the scar on Torch's chest proving Lorien's claim, then upon looking at Torch's scar it looks like a slash mark but looks to large to be caused by a blade to which Lorien would explain that he had used his magic to create a magic slash leading to Spike being the one to ask Lorien how it's possible use magic like that since Twilight and Rarity were hide from the dragons to which Lorien would explain I have had centuries of practice during which I have learn things that Celestia and Luna don't know. Lorien would return to the present Lorien say I know what you are planning Torch and it's an alright way to see who can become Dragon Lord however I have a way to make it then suggest that after reaching the flamecano before they can retrieve the Blood Stone Scepter the dragon must first have to defeat me. Upon hearing Lorien's suggestion Torch would smile then say that actually is a goos idea retrieving the Blood Stone Scepter will be one of two parts the second part will be to defeat Lorien and who ever can return with the Blood Stone Scepter and defeat the one who defeated me while named the new Dragon Lord. After ordering dragons to prepare for the gauntlet which would begin when the sun is at it's peak to which Spike after hearing what the other dragons have planned for Equestria decides to compete with Princess Ember doing the same against her father's order. Later all dragons who plan to compete would gather at the cliff which would include Spike and Ember who was in disguise then after Lorien had left to guard the Blood Stone Scepter leading to declare the start of the race for the Blood Stone Scepter. Later while waiting Lorien would see that Spike would be the first to arrive with Garble being the second to arrive who was about to drop Spike of the ledge but would be stopped by Loiren who would demand that Garble put Spike down and stop acting like a cowardly bully to which Garble would do just that then say what did you just call me to which Lorien would repeat that he sees Garble as a coward who picks on people who are weaker then you which describes what the dragons are. Lorien's statement which he would say loud enough for all dragons to hear him leading to all of the to become enraged at Lorien's statement leading to Garble to be the first to attack Lorien which he defend against Garble's attacks while Spike seeing opportunity would try to retrieve the Blood Stone Scepter but would find said Scepter to be shielded by a barrier leading to Lorien to say did you think I wouldn't keep the Blood Stone Scepter protect, the only why for you to bring down the barrier is to defeat me. Upon hear Lorien's statement all the competing dragons would would begin to attack Lorien while Ember after saving Spike from fall after he was thrown back when first crashed into the barrier while trying to retrieve the Blood Stone Scepter. As the competing dragon continue to fight Lorien with Ember join the fight who would suggest they work together to take Lorien down to which the other competing dragons refused because they thought that Ember would trying to retrieve the Bllod Stone Scepter for herself with everyone else fight Lorien. After fight Lorien for some minutes most of the competing dragons had become exhausted which also included Ember who refused to give up leading state that I don't how long it takes I will find a way to defeat him meanwhile at the same time Spike knowing that he is to weak to fight Prince Lorien would try to find a way to get the Blood Stone Scepter but had been unable to come up with good ideas but Spike had a though but was unsure if he should act on it but after a moment Spike would get the resolve to act on what could possible his last plan hoping that it would work. The competing dragons were all out of breath with Ember also being out of breath but is the only one who hasn't given up then Lorien would he hear Spike approach then turn to face the little dragon who would get the courage to ask with resolve in his voice Prince Lorien may I please have the Blood Stone Scepter to which Lorien would say while smile looks like you have figure out the hidden trial and your reward you may have the Blood Stone Scepter. Upon hearing Lorien's statement shock and angered but Spike who was now holding the Blood Stone Scepter would would say let him explain himself to which after thanking Spike Lorien would explain that Spike realized that none of the competing dragons had a chance to defeat Lorien which anger the all dragons but Spike but would clam down after hearing that they would ask why not to which Lorien explain that the only fights dragons ever take part in are ones where your lives are not on the line while I have had my far share in the past during which I spent centuries honing my combat skills. Lorien would then explain that Spike had discovered that the final part of the Gauntlet of Fire was a test of courage which two of out of all of you manage to pass with the first one I will announce after I explain how Spike passed, back in Equestria Spike would have never requested something from to which Spike would interject and explain that back in Equestria Lorien is the minster of defence meaning he oversees Equestria's military and is Princess Celestia's and Princess Luna's older brother. Upon hearing this the competing dragons would be surprised to learn they would basically fight not just an important figure in Equestria but the brother of the ruler of Equestria then Garble would then remember that Lorien had said that there were two who passed the test leading to Garble to ask Lorien who is the second one to pass to which Lorien would turn his attention to Ember then would say Spike you can give her the Scepter shocking but before they could ask Lorien would explain that for Ember even though she could that she wasn't going to be able to win but decided to not give up until she had found a way to win, also the final factor for both Spike and Ember passing the trial was their motives for competing for Ember she wanted to prove that she was more than Torch's daughter and help her people find a better path while Spike enter the Gauntlet in order to protect his friends, his family and his home from what ever plans you dragon may have had for Equestria if either on of you had won even if that meant that he would have to leave his home. Upon hearing Spike's and Ember's reason for competing in the Gauntlet of Fire to be impressive and respectable then Garble would say you know Spike you maybe small but you seem to have a strong heart plus your reason for competing was better then our reasons for competing with Ember being the exception our reasons for competing were petty while you were competing in order to protect your friends, family and home even if that meant you would have to stay in the Dragonlands and with that you have earn some of our respect. Garble would the say that Lorien has given us dragons much to think about. With the Gauntlet of Fire had ended with Ember becoming the new Lord of the Dragons then Lorien before leaving with Spike, Rarity and Twilight would tells Ember if she needs any advice for leadership or anything else all she has to do is send him a letter for any problems you may have.

The second event notable event was a lone Changeling named Thorax would found around the Crystal Empire causing said Empire to become alarmed but thanks to both Spike and Lorien was able convince everyone that Thorax isn't a threat leading to Thorax becoming accepted by everyone. Later just as Twilight, Starlight, Spike and Lorien who came with the three to the Crystal Empire due to having a feeling that he would be need and was right to come, Lorien would also learn from Thorax that Chrysalis had been pondering the question Lorien had ask her during her attack on Canterlot on Cadance and Shinning Armours wedding which regarding their feeding on just one emotion was enough causing Lorien to become worried that Chrysalis was planning something and would find out in time.
More time would pass and we can find Starlight and Spike helping Twilight move some of her books to storage when Derpy would crash in to deliver a letter for Starlight which was sent from her old village annual Sunset Festival which caused her to worry leading to her to have a nightmare that night to which Luna would appear to console her then would suggest Starlight should ask the mane six and Lorien for advice to which Starlight would thank Luna for the suggestion as soon as she wakes up. The next morning Starlight had asked Twilight her friends and Spike to gather in the map room to confide in them about her worry after she had sent a letter to Prince Lorien about the same thing. After explain her worries about how much she has change and that if she has been truly forgiven to which the mane six and Spike assures her that she has change and been forgiven then suddenly a letter would appear leading to Starlight to open it and begin to read it, as Starlight reads the letter she would see that Lorien had written the letter as a reminder to not let fear dominate her decision leading to Starlight would travel to her old village after she asked Trixie to accompany asking Starlight had asked her. Later Starlight and Trixie would arrive at Starlight's old village for the annual Sunset Festival while Starlight still being worried but as she remember the remind in the letter Prince Lorien had sent her reminding her of the advice that helped reformed her and would enter the village leading to the villagers upon seeing Starlight would greet her then would begin gather around her and begin to ask her questions leading to Starlight to say I will answer your questions but only one at a time leading to Starlight to explain that she is currently living in Ponyville which is due to currently Princess Twilight's student then would explain that she will be staying till the end of the Sunset Festival then would introduce Trixie to the villagers who would greeted. A moment later while Starlight was catching up with the people of her old village then suddenly a letter would appear in front of Starlight leading to her to see that it was from prince Lorien leading to her to read it causing her to become shock at what she was reading leading to everyone around to ask Starlight what does it say but Starlight wouldn't tell them because the letter states that she is to tell no one however Trixie becoming curious what the letter says would use her smoke bomb as a distraction so she could snatch the letter with her magic, as the smoke clear Starlight would realize what Trixie did but before she could retrieve the letter Trixie would gain a shock look that would turn to one of panic leading to her to inadvertently would say oh my lord Princess Celestia and Princess Luna have been kidnapped by Changelings and tried to kidnap Prince Lorien but would manage to alert the guards and manage the fend off the Changelings that tried to kidnap him however he was unable to prevent his sisters from being taken leading to Lorien to send a letters to Starlight and was going to Twilight her friends, Shinning Armour and Cadance but would only send just one to Starlight after he had interrogated the Changelings leading to him to discover that the Changelings were order by Chrysalis to capture Celestia, Luna, the mane 6, Shinning Armour, Cadance, Flurry Heart and Lorien himself in order to not only feed of their love but all of their emotions and the Changelings that were assigned to capture Lorien were also given secondary order to kill him if they couldn't capture him since he was the biggest threat of all. After reading the letter Starlight was about explain to that she and Trixie had to leave to which the people of Starlight's old village would say we understand leading to Starlight and Trixie return to Ponyville via teleportation after ask people of her old village to keep their guard up until she notifies them that it was safe to which they would say understood. A moment later both Starlight and Trixie had return to via teleportation right outside Twilight's castle leading to the two sneak into the castle were they would discover that the Changelings had indeed captured Twilight her friends and Spike leading to Trixie to being panic to which Starlight would try to calm Trixie down but was having trouble since all but Lorien have been kidnapped while knowing that Lorien would he would be preoccupied with Canterlot's defence then suddenly Starlight would hear Thorax's voice with said person appear from the bushes causing Trixie to scream but Starlight would put her in a bubble of silence then Starlight wanting to make sure that the person before her is Thorax to which he confirms his identity. After confirming his identity Thorax would confirm that Shinning Armour, Cadance and Flurry Heart have been kidnapped leading to both Trixie and Thorax to ask Starlight what they are going to do to which she didn't know what to do since this was the first time she has deal with someone powerful and dangerous then suddenly Discord would appear leading Starlight to demand proof that he is the lord of chaos to which he easily proves his identity the upon learn that Fluttershy had been take he would become enraged leading to Discord to teleport to the where Fluttershy is currently being held but would find that they arrive far from the Changeling hive where they learn from Thorax that only Changeling magic works in the hive due to Chrysalis being made from ancient dark stone that soaks up non-Changeling magic leading to the four to walk to the have and along the way they agree to say "klutzy draconequus" as a code phrase to confirm their identities. Meanwhile at the same time Lorien after making sure that Canterlot was secure he would teleport to the Crystal Empire in order subdue the imposter and would succeed thanks to combination of the Crystal Heart and a spell Lorien learn a long time ago which reveals one's true feelings. After revealing the imposters Lorien would succeed in making sure the Crystal Empire was secure thanks to the Crystal Guard and the squad of troops Lorien brought with him and would leave half to help protect the Empire while he took the rest with him to aid Starlight and the others rescue the mane 6, Celestia, Luna, Shinning Armour, Cadance and Flurry Heart. Back with Starlight, Trixie, Thorax and Discord who were trying to find their way to the hives thrown room in to destroy said thrown leading to both Discord and Trixie to become capture. Minutes late we find Starlight who had managed to reach Chrysalis where she would find the mane 6, Celestia, Luna, Shinning Armour, Cadance and Flurry Heart along with Discord and Trixie who have been rapped in transparent cocoons then Chrysalis would appear and was waiting for them leading to Starlight becoming ensnare by the same material as the cocoons that are hold the captives. Chrysalis would then begin to brag how she will be able get away but then she would be interrupted by Starlight stating that Prince Lorien is still free and will come to free everyone with Thorax also still free, upon hearing his Chrysalis would say don't mention that traitor's name he was a fool to leave the hive and even a bigger fool to return then would see after looking Starlight's eye and realize that Starlight was actually Thorax with the real Starlight trying to destroy leading to Chrysalis brag about after replacing then Chrysalis was remind that she indeed fail to capture Prince Lorien as well failing to killing him but then gets an idea which will to use his sisters hostages in order to force him to do what she wants or she would kill them then suddenly after finishing her plan how to subdue Prince Lorien said person would arrive with his strike team via breaking through the ceiling at the top of the hive. After breaching the top of the hive Lorien and his strike team first free Thorax but just before they could recuse the captives Chrysalis would threaten to kill Celestia and Luna unless Prince Lorien and his strike team stands down and surrender to her to which upon seeing that Chrysalis was in the air right besides the cocoons hold his sisters and pointing her horn at them ready to fire her magic if Lorien tried anything leading to Lorien begrudgingly to order his team to stand down leading to the Changeling drones restrain Lorien and his strike team then Chrysalis would say you know Lorien ever since you asked the question why we Changelings only feed of love it got me thinking that we should try to feed on all emotion starting with the captives then you recusers with all of Equestria will so follow and we feed for generations to come. After hearing Chrysalis plan Starlight after looking at Thorax would propose a future for the Changelings where they have no need to feed to which Chrysalis dismisses this notion, stating that changeling hunger can never be satisfied to which Lorien would continue stating that Thorax's new appearance is do to sharing his emotions while being exposed to the Crystal Heart long to begin his metamorphosis into something new with Thorax already showing signs since he now has crystallized wings, are greenish black body, heterochromic eyes of blue and purple and has lost his fangs. Upon hearing Lorien statement the other Changelings who arrived after minutes before Lorien and his strike team. Despite the evidence Chrysalis refuses to believe a path where Changelings have no need to feed because she has been feeding off love her life not knowing of any other path and if the Changelings follow the path Starlight and Lorien suggested that would be a threat to Chrysalis authority since she has been ruling the Changelings for a very long time and will never give it up leading to her to drain all of Thorax's emotion in order to show that her way of ruling is the only way then would begin to drain Thorax's emotions but then Starlight while being restrain by two Changeling drones would tell Thorax to share all of his emotions with Chrysalis and would do just that resulting in Thorax completing his metamorphosis into a reformed Changeling leading to the other Changelings to share their leading to an magical energy wave that would cause Chrysalis throne to shatter and free all the captives. Chrysalis would emerges from the rubble of her throne leading to Starlight stand before her offering her hoof and a better path than the path of revenge but Chrysalis would refuse Starlight's hoof and would swears absolute revenge upon her then would fly away in to lick her wounds and plot her revenge. Now that Chrysalis has abandoned her kingdom Thorax becomes the new leader of the Changelings with Princess Celestia saying she looks forward to improve relations between Equestria and the Changeling kingdom then states for now we should leave the Changeling kingdom to the Changelings this would lead to Discord Discord proposes a tea celebration at Fluttershy's Cottage, but Starlight Glimmer suggests we celebrate at her old village. After arriving her old village with two of the villagers Double Diamond and Party Favor being the first to see Starlight leading to both of them to ask is it over to which Starlight confirms that Chrysalis has been defeated and the Changelings have been reformed then explain Starlight brought her friends here so they could celebrate their victory here to which Double Diamond and Party Favor as well as Night Glider and Sugar Bell would be glad to host it. As everyone celebrate their victory over Chrysalis at the Sunset Festival Celestia and Luna would find their brother sitting alone reflecting leading to them both to ask their brother if he was alright to which he explains that he is alright then they would ask why he let Chrysalis go when he could have order one of his troops to detain her to which Lorien answered by saying because one day Twilight will face her greatest trail and I can sense that Chrysalis will be a key part of it cause Celestia and Luna to realize that their brother of their plan for the future then they both will comment that when that day comes you will be able to advise her we need to which Lorien answer by saying hopefully causing both his sisters to become confuse lead to them to ask Lorien what he meant but would only get silence as Lorien leaves the spot he is sit to just outside the village. Lorien's action would cause both Clestia and Luna to wonder about their brother.
