Sometime had passed since Shinning Armour and Cadance wedding with Twilight spending time with her friends while Celestia, Luna and Lorien were conducting their royal duties then suddenly a royal guard would enter the throneroom with an urgent message from Northern Equestia stating that it has returned alerting the three siblings leading to Celestia to write a letter to Twilight requesting that she come to Canterlot immediately. Later Twilight and her friends would arrive at Canterlot with Twilight heading to the throneroom where both Luna and Lorien and just finished talking to their sister about something which Twilight would learn that it was about the Crystal Empire had return leading to Celestia to tell her student the story of the Empire and how an evil unicorn name Sombra rose to power and would enslave the people of the Crystal Empire but would defeat by Celestia, Luna and Lorien leading to Sombra to be banished to the ice of the arctic north but not before he place a curse on the Empire causing it to disappear for a thousand years then Celestia explain the reason why she had called Twilight is for her to aid Shinning Armour and Princess Cadance in finding a way to protect the Crystal Empire which Twilight would accept even though she questions if she can do it then just before she exits the palace Lorien would explain that he will be accompanying her to the Empire as an overseer and make sure there are no unexpected dangers. A few hours later the mane six, Spike and Lorien would arrive snowy wasteland of Northern Equestia where Shinning Armour would greet them the would escort them to the Crystal Empire while explaining that something has been trying to enter the Empire believing that it's Sombra then after saying that a menacing black cloud appear leading Shinning attempt to fend it of while Lorien made sure everyone made it safely to the Empire which Lorien would requests that he helps to which Shinning states I'll be find just make sure my sister and her friend make it inside the barrier and would do just that but to make sure that Shinning Armour made back alive Lorien after making sure that the mane six were inside the barrier Lorien would return for Shinning Armour and was good that he did because Shinning Armour was right that about what was trying to breach the magic barrier leading to the menacing black cloud to reveal that it was in fact Sombra who was to kill Shinning Armour but upon seeing Lorien would become angered leading to Lorien to say so you do remember me I mean how could you forget the person who scared your eye to which Sombra replied by saying yes my eye I have thought about that day everyday for the last thousand, Lorien would then say I'd love to stay and chat some more but I have to bring this stallion here back to his wife alive leading to Lorien to use a light spell that was bright enough to blind Sombra long enough for both Shinning Armour and Lorien to enter the magic barrier protecting the Crystal Empire. After entering the barrier everyone would head for the throneroom where they would find Cadance who is visibly exhausted but would still have the energy to greet her sister in law via the nursery rhyme they made when they were younger then Shinning Armour would explain that Cadance has barely slept or eaten due to using her magic to spread love and light which won't last if they don't find a long term method to protect the Crystal Empire and with Shinning Armour's magic currently useless since Sombra encased in black crystals thanks to Sombra which leads to the mane six to try find a way to protect the Empire start by asking the Crystal Ponies if they know a way to protect the Crystal Empire only to find that all the Crystal Ponies seem to have a collective amnesia of all events before Sombra took over which would be revealed to be a apart of the curse Sombra placed upon the Empire as it disappeared a thousand years ago. Failing to get any answers from the Crystal Ponies the mane six along with Lorien would enter the library to see if they can find something and would find a book that held a bit of the Crystal Empire's history with the book mention a Crystal Faire an annual event that was established by the first Crystal Queen which would become the Crystal Empire's most important event to which Shinning Armour encourages prepare the Crystal Faire because he didn't know how much time Cadance had before she pass out from exhaustion which would lead to the barrier to collapse to which Twilight along with her friends would follow the instructions in the book they found in the library leading to the the mane six completing the task needed to begin the Crystal Faire. As the Crystal Faire began the Crystal Ponies began to recall the memories before Sombra as well becoming surprised but would so become delighted to see Lorien leading to the mane six to learn that five years before Sombra took over the Crystal Empire Lorien visited the Empire and would be a special guest one that would become well liked and the mane six would learn that Lorien was also there when Sombra was defeated and would discover that Lorien had scared one of Sombra's eyes then the mane six would learn about the Crystal Heart which is the relic that protect the Crystal Empire with Lorien being the one to reveal that important piece of information since he had visited the Empire a few times before Sombra's reign. Upon learning about the Crystal Heart Twilight along with Spike would search for the Crystal Heart while Lorien and Twilight's friends keep the Crystal Ponies busy until Twilight returns with the Crystal Heart how ever as Twilight begins searching for the Crystal Heart Cadance would collapse from exhaustion resulting in the barrier to dissipates then the cloud that bears Sombra's face began to encircles but then a new barrier would appear which was created by Lorien as a way to by time until Twilight returns with the Crystal Heart. While Twilight search for the Crystal Heart Lorien would tell the Crystal Ponies that even though they had found the Crystal heart they want to make sure that Sombra didn't tamper with the Crystal Heart which would result in either the Heart losing it's power or will shatter leading to the Crystal Ponies to understand and would return to enjoying the Crystal Faire. A few minutes later Twilight had just found the Crystal Heart but as she try to retrieve it she would trigger a trap that Sombra laid in case any try to return the Heart to it's rightful place while at the same time Sombra who trying to breach the barrier which didn't go unnoticed by the Crystal Ponies who were about to panic but Lorien would assure them that everything is going to be alright and if Sombra does breach the barrier he would deal with him which would calm the Crystal Ponies a bit but they would remain a bit uneasy. A moment later Twilight would command Spike to bring the Crystal Heart to Cadance since she was unable to escape the trap that she had sprung then somehow Sombra had breached the barrier but his focus wasn't on the Crystal Ponies nor the Heart but Lorien who would explain to the Crystal Ponies that Sombra didn't breach the barrier but Lorien let him in so they could settle unfinished business then would state I need to borrow a lance. Both Sombra and Lorien would get into a fight stance after Sombra took his physical form them both would clash as with Sombra using his black crystals trying to gain an advance over Lorien which he would either dodge or destroy then Lorien would succeed in scaring Sombra's remaining eye after he had blinded him via a flash of light then Lorien would say people of the Crystal Empire you have no more reason to fear Sombra because without his site he can't harm. Upon hearing Lorien's words one of the Crystal Ponies would say Lorien is right Sombra can't see us let alone harm with the rest of the Crystal Ponies now letting go of their fear then suddenly Lorien would say Crystal Ponies we have now a way make sure Sombra can never threaten behold then upon hearing Lorien's statement the Crystal Ponies would turn to see Cadnce who had regain enough strength to catch spike who had just escaped the top of the Crystal Tower which the trap that Twilight trigger and seeing no way out order Spike to bring to Crystal Faire. After catching Spike Cadance would say "The Crystal Heart has returned. Use the light and love within you to ensure that King Sombra does not." After Cadance made her statement she would place the Crystal Heart back to the plinth in the center of the city then with help from the love and light from the Crystal Ponies would cause the streets to glow blue then all that energy would enter the Crystal Heart which empower the Crystal Heart which would send a wave of energy which would shatter Sombra's black crystals and cause said pony to disintegrate with the black cloud that was surround the city to disperse then as result of absorbing the love and light a bright aurora would shine across Equestria and with the people of the whole city, Shinning Armour, Cadance, the mane six and Spike shinning like crystals then as the Crystal Ponies turn to Lorien then becoming stunned at Lorien Crystal form which so breath take it was like watch a prism that was radiating all forms of coloured light which lead to the Crystal Ponies to call him the Celestial Prince then one of the Crystal Ponies would ask Lorien about why he lied about the Crystal Heart to which he says I apologize for lying but we had to make we had enough time to find the Crystal Heart plus I should add the I did have a theory about Sombra tampering with the Crystal Heart but it seems I was mistaken, upon hearing Lorien's explanation the Crystal Ponies understood the reason the lied. After saving the Crystal Empire the mane six, Spike and Lorien would return to Canterlot all the while Twilight would worry that she had failed the test Ceslestia had given her but when she face her mentor Celestia she explain that since Twilight had Spike return the Crystal due being unsure of if she couldn't escape in time meaning that she wasn't willing to sacrifice the safety and future of the Crystal Ponies. Celestia would then state that she would rather have a student who understands self-sacrifice than one who puts her own interests first. Upon hearing those words Twilight then ask does that mean but beofre she could ask Celestia would confirm that Twilight have passed her test. After learn that she had passed Twilight and her friend would return to Ponyville to celebrate and as the mane six and Spike left Canterlot Celestia, Luna and Lorien would watch then transport a book to their location via magic then upon looking at the book Lorien would realize that the book belonged to Starswirl the Bearded then would ask Celestia what is she planning to do with the book to which she answers by say her final test will be to find a way to finish Starswirls unfinished master then will see if she is ready to which Lorien was about to ask but then realize what his sister means then says are you sure that about Twilight because if we find her unworthy what then to which Celestia would say she will prove herself worth. Upon hearing Celestia's answer Lorien would say alright I will trust your judgement for now but if we find out Twilight is unworthy then I will make sure she doesn't become a threat.
Some months had passed since the Crystal Empire return and we now find Twilight who has just woken up and was planning to enjoy her day until she discovers her friends have the wrong cutie marks leading to her to realize what happen to her friends which was a result from her read Starswirl the Bearded unfinished master last night which she thought didn't do anything but would then realize that the spell changed the Elements of Harmony which also change her friends destinies. Upon realizing what she had done Twilight leading to her to lament her actions to which Spike reassures that she will find a solution leading to Twilight to realize Spike was right then after looking at the photograph of her and her friends resulting in to discover a way for her friends to remember who they really are by reminding how much they mean to each other and she would succeed in return her friends to normal then Twilight realizes what she needs to do to finish Starswirl the Bearded spell leading to her to return to her home then would finish Starswirl the Bearded spell which would result in the Elements of Harmony to fire beams of light at Twilight then as the light turns into a blinding flash Twilight disappears leaving only a scorch mark of her cutie mark on the floor which results in Twilights friends to become alarmed that Twilight has disappeared. Twilight would then find herself ethereal space lit by stars and nebulae wonder where she is and what is this place then Princess Celestia would appear and would congratulate her then saying I knew you could do it to which Twilight asks her what did she do to which Celestia would answer you accomplishing what Starswirl the Bearded could not because he didn't understand friendship like you do, the lessons you learned during your time in Ponyville have taught you well and have now proven that you are ready leading to Twilight to ask ready for what then as the two walk Twilight sees all the memories from when she got her cutie mark to the events of today then Celestia would say it's time for you to fulfill you destiny. After Celestia said those words Twilight begin to lift into the air as a purple light that had emerged from her chest would begin to swirl around her then becoming brighter to the point where she would leave the ethereal space and return to Ponyville in the form of a bright projection of her cutie mark in the sky which would dissipate as Twilight reappears in front of her friend then to their surprise Twilight would reveal that she now has a new pair of wings causing her friend to marvel at her new wings with Rarity after observing her friend realizes that Twilight has become an alicorn then Fluttershy would comment Twilight looks like a princess to which Celestia who had just appear would say that's because she is a princess surprising everyone leading to Celestia to explain since coming to Ponyville you have demonstrated charity, compassion, devotion, integrity, optimism and leadership of a true princess then Twilight would ask if she will no long be her student to which Celestia states not in the same way as before I will still be here to help and guide you when need but now we are all your students Twilight and you are an inspiration to us all leading to Celestia, Twilight's friends and Spike to bow after Celestia made that statement. The next morning would be a historic day the coronation ceremony of Princess Twilight Sparkle then Twilight would address the crowd by saying when she was first sent to Ponyville to study friendship she did really care much about but now on this day I wouldn't here today if it wasn't for my friend for today I consider myself the luckiest pony in Equestria thank you my friends thank you everypony, Twilight's statement would cause everyone to cheer. As everyone cheers for the new alicorn princess Lorien who attended the coronation would think to himself now that Twilight is an alicorn lets see if the power will corrupt her or if she proves to be worth of being a princess.
