Chen Ming and Wang Wei moved in a zig-zag pattern towards the small horde of vampires screeching, the sound waves from their sonic booms colliding with eachother.
Eventually the vampires realised their sound waves were useless and switched methods, biting their hands. Their fangs pierced their skin and blood shot out forming a blade.
The technique to do so wasn't something any normal low-ranking vampire could do but with the help of higher ranked vampires they could bond a certain weapon-shape into their blood allowing them to activate the blood shaping weapon technique without flexibility but extreme speed.
Wang Wei first noticed their tactic and changed his own strategy, turning on the spot and transforming into light for a short distance. He moved at light speed for a few metres and appeared behind one of the vampires.
He punched them in the back, launching a delayed blast of hot sunlight behind it. The sunlight ripped through the vampires flesh and boiled it's blood from the inside.
Either side, three vampires turned to attack Wang Wei in revenge. They swung their blood-bonded weapons; a short sword, a spear and a mace.
The mace swung down and knocked Wang Wei to his knees, though he spread the force so no puncture occured. After transforming to light he needed 15 minutes before he could do it again, he saw the spear thrusting towards him and activated another technique.
He sent a wave of light towards the vampire, causing their vision to distort and for him to appear to be shifted away from the spear, meaning the vampire should change his course.
Instead though, the spear continued steadfast and pierced Wang Wei's side. He coughed out blood and the final attack, the short sword, swung down towards his neck.
Luckily, just in the nick of time, Chen Ming swung his open palm and ejected a beam of fiery sun energy. The beam moved quickly and formed a barrier which disintegrated the blood-bond short sword coming for Wang Wei's neck.
Wang Wei tapped into his Spirit Stone Soul and used a small amount of his limited healing light laws, just enough so that his side injury would stay stable.
The 'spear' vampire had already let go of his weapon and jumped forward to bite Wang Wei and drian him if his blood. Though, luckily, he healed in time and rolled out of the way.
Skidding across the dirt floor, he shot out a blast of microwaves which connected to the blood of that vampire and boiled it from the inside, popping his flesh like a balloon.
Wang Wei shouted, "Chen Ming, work with me! Blood Connection Lotus!"
Chen Ming nodded and stomped onto the ground, lifting his arms at the same time. In accordance, the blood around the two of them flew upwards. They worked together and turned the splatters of blood into a single orb, of which they shot light into.
The technique used the blood of those related to the victims and used it as a prism which would cause lotuses to appear above their head. The lotus would slowly lose petals and when the final petal fell, the victim would become weak to light based attacks.
The two of them looked back, where Hao Ran was covered in a bubble of dancing sound waves which met with the blood-bonded weapons of various vampires and caused the blood to fall apart with its vibrations.
'He'll last, Lin Feng should be almost done, buying time is all we need.' they thought.
The two of them finished instilling the blood orb with mental energy and laws which would allow the technique to function. They did not fully understand how it worked, it was a technique all Light Bringers had access to but would need many people to work together to use effectively.
The blood orb shook and then burst with an explosion of light. The light burst in every direction and target almost all low-ranked vampires in the vicinity. Normally the technique wouldn't work so well but the low-ranked vampires were all closely related.
They were thinking of surviving in the present but they did not forget to plan for the future after defeating the main vampire.
"Hao Ran, how much longer!" Chen Ming shouted. He looked back quicky to see a few more dozen low-ranked vampires were running from the castle to them.
In addition, among the vampires were thrall…captured members of the major sects. If they could, they didn't want to fight them. Not to mention that if they wanted to fight, the thralls would, while weakened, have a much wider variety of techniques.
Wang Wei held his side with one hand while the other shot out pellets of concentrated light. He targeted the vampires mostly but any thralls who were getting too close would also be attacked in non-lethal areas.
"A few moments, come in!" Hao Ran shouted back from within his bubble of sound. If it were anyone else he shouldn't have been able to hear but since they had been synchronised before, his sound bubble could distinguish friend from foe.
Wang Wei took in a sharp breath and tapped into his Spirit Stone Soul, bringing out a large amount of light laws; local photonic mass displacement!
He jumped into the air and in an area around him, an invisible bubble formed. Those inside the bubble were affected by his light which acted as an amplifier for weight, causing the gravity laws to amplify.
In a bubble around them, those not synchronised were slowed to a halt. He fell down to the ground and stammered a moment, "quick, to Lin Feng! My gravitational light laws are expensive to produce, I can only last a minute."
Lin Feng opened his eyes and stood up, "Its ready! Get everyone into the light tunnel, and ready an attack in your mind. Something wide and powerful!"
Hao Ran saw Wang Wei's gravitational attack had slowed all the enemies to a halt and opened up his sound wave barrier, "Come in now! The light tunnel is finished! Ready an attack!"
Chen Ming and Wang Wei quickly ran over and stared at Lin Feng while held a glowing orb of light. They were all ready and Lin Feng nodded.
He held the warm light in his hands, feeling an immense gravitational pull perhaps influenced by Wang Wei's move.
"quick, only 30 seconds!" Wang Wei reminded.
Lin Feng ignored his curiosity with the light tunnel seed, he had little experience with the technique only ever using it twice before this point.
He knelt down and planted the 'seed', which quickly sprouted to form a door. Lin Feng steeled bus resolve, 'For the world, Yi Sect must be destroyed. I am sorry Nei Bu…I have failed you but that will be solved soon enough. This war of the world…let it be my repentance.'
He opened the door and stepped through, quickly followed by Wang Wei, Chen Ming and finally Hao Ran. They transformed into light and 'teleported' miles into the deep complex of the vampire castle into the secret room Lin Feng and spotted.

At the same time, Hamar had his eye of the small group. He had complete vision of the entire battlefield through his aura lattice.
He observed as Lin Feng and his subordinated fought the vampires. He saw the light tunnel and he even saw into the secret room they were arriving into soon enough.
"They will die…"
He pierced through all physical walls to look into the secret room the group was to enter…inside was not a mid-rank vampire. It was a high ranking noble vampire.
"Without my help they will die…just a little help and I can save these few and defeat a high rank vampire at the same time, its worth it"
