A light tunnel was a high level technique only taught to 30 Hardening experts at minimum. The base of the technique is to create a channel through which one transformation into light to instantly transmit medium-ling distance.
Teleportation small distance through light transformation was a fairly basic manoeuvre even those below 10th Hardening could do but the longer the distance, the more complications arrive.
Lin Feng again looked through the castle, determining the distance from where he stood to the room which he cannot look through into. Once calculated, he disengaged his ocular technique and formed a triangle with his fingers.
He whispered back, "Each of you, send transformation light into this prism." He pulled apart his fingers and either his fingers as vertices he formed a prism of light.
Chen Ming, Wang Wei and Hao Ran each held two fingers out and sent a stream of light into the prism. The lights all mixed into a single bouncing stream inside the prism.
Lin Feng nodded and they stopped releasing lights, "I'll set it up now. When I'm working a huge light will be sent out, you need to isolate it from the outside, otherwise it will be spotted."
While Light Laws could be used for stealth, their famous flashiness isn't wrong per say, light as a law is easily emitted and hard to hide. Lin Feng was using a light tunnel which, as a technique, was at the limit of his abilities…
It would be a challenge for the weaker trio to keep it suppressed, and they knew that. They understood Lin Feng's underlying meaning…'Be ready to be noticed, protect me.'
The trio formed a triangle around Lin Feng, pushing out their hands to form a barrier of their own mental energy drawing in light laws. They cultivated light, they absorbed light laws to grow stronger, to supress Lin Feng's light they will only use their own absorption of light.
Lin Feng sat down and held the light prism in his two hands and inserted his mental energy, he needed surgical precision to manipulate strands of light with exact-ness of intention and impression.
He began and light exploded out from his work, for an hour they were well. Though quickly the trio realised that the speed it accumulated was too fast and too numerous.
Chen Ming, the defacto leader as Lin Feng was busy, looked towards the vampire's castle, "You guys can feel it too, can't you?"
He grunted and felt a burning sensation grow in his palms, "We won't last too long, on the count of three…"
Wang Wei understood what Chen Ming was hinting at, "Direct it as an attack."
Chen Ming grunted, he was the strongest but that was actually going against him in this scenario. He was already almost full of laws and had little space in his Spirit Stone Soul to absorb more light.
"Don't try to attack physically! Blind them all for as long as we can! If they're smart at all they should be able to counter it given time but the sheer amount of light laws should cause interference. Focus on blinding…"
Hao Ran still had much light to absorb but given his relatively lower status, he did not say anything and agreed to the plan.
"1…"
"2…"
"3..."
Discarding all notions of disguise, he shouted without obstruction, "GO!"
The three subordinates worked in unison, their thoughts being aligned perfectly due to their worming together and wavelength synchronization. Light burst out from Lin Feng's sitting body, a faint line illuminated from the prism in his hands through to the castle. Sweat dropped down his forehead and his hands trembled.
Inside the castle and around, low-ranking vampires shield their eyes as their ears twitched. Low-ranked vampires had huge bat like ears which reacted to quiet noises.
The light from Lin Feng was collected by the trio, and like a single unit they stepped in unison; pouring their intent into the light and pushing it forward, rushing into the castle.
Initially, there was chaos and screaming. Then…a command was send down from some higher power and the low-ranking vampires all stopped screeching. They were instantly suppressed and those already stationed outside stepped further out.
They relied on hearing as a replacement for their temporary lost vision. If vampires were known for one type of cultivation it would be blood but if there was a second…it would be sound.
Light and sound, two very similar cultivation daos.
Light Bringers versus the Sound Cultivation of low-ranking vampires. The first defense begun.
A dozen low-ranking vampires ran on all-fours as they came to attack the source of the light, the one their leader has designated as enemy number one.
Nearby thralls who were sent out to attack started coming back. Unknown to Lin Feng and his group, they were surrounded by enemies on all sides…more than they had thought, anyways.
The dozen vampires screeched, sending out blasts of super-sonic sound waves, causing the ground to dissipate in front of them, only countered by Hao Ran sending out a wave of sound laws himself, only just diverting their power upwards.
Hao Ran slapped his belly and a dome of light formed around himself and Lin Feng. He called out to his seniors, Chen Ming and Wang Wei, "Go! Light is best in movement, my techniques are suitable to defend…" he coughed out a blob of blood and from the blood light laws visibly emitted and vibrated, suddenly transforming into waves of visible sound, "I dual-cultivate sound laws, I'll do my best to defend Lin Feng while the light tunnel is made."
They nodded and the two seniors tapped into their Spirit Stone Soul and pulled out their various sources of light. The time was dusk, both moon and sun were lit.
Chen Ming channeled Moonlight Laws, moving at light speed in short bursts. Similarly, Wang Wei channeled Sunlight Laws and shot forward at high speeds.
Their movement, while based on light, moved physically and in turn broke through the sound barrier. They did this on purpose, if they wished they could have transformed into light rather than channel it's power.
The reason for this choice was simple, fight fire with fire. Inspired by Hao Ran's earlier showing they meant to fight sound with sound. Where the vampires fight with Sound Laws, other sound attacks would act as a disruption and would weaken the enemies strength.
