Chapter 270 - chapter 70

Hamar ran his hand through his hair, a mix of brown and white hairs; a product as his connection with Hou's Nascent Soul which had taken the form of an amalgam of Hou's forms throughout the ages.

He rubbed his fingers and dropped a loose hair onto the floor, "I don't know whether you have much knowledge of myself, and of the outside world but..."

Hamar's tears welled as he took a breath and held them back, "I have a friend, the name's Hou, and he was taken by Yi Sect."

He bit his lip and held back his tears, his fist tightened and he imagined a sword to calm himself. He imagined he was swinging a sword peacefully again and that helped him calm down, he looked into Elder Future Stillness' eyes directly.

He continued, this time with more conviction, "They were taken by Yi Sect, and I couldn't do anything. Even when I finally found them again..." He trembled and his grip tightened, "I couldn't do anything, I grew so much. I got so much stronger than I was but still...still I couldn't do anything AND THEY GOT AWAY!"

Hamar clutched his heart and let out his feelings, "I need your help! Help me bring in mana, I need it all. I want to become stronger than I ever thought possible, to have enough strength...to have enough power to get back my friend."

A tear dropped down his cheek and he closed his eyes, "But not only that friend," he fling out his arms, "I don't want to see this world that I love so dearly...those people, those innocent people, to die for the cause of Yi Sects!"

Hamar summoned his sword soul, from the air a ripple of space and time formed and waters began to rush out. A wave of waters containing the memories of the past constantly changing and replenishing rush outwards and formed the shape of a sword.

Elder Future Stillness listened to Hamar's speech with the disposition of a lofty figure but deep down Hamar's emotions had bled through. He was beginning to be moved, then Hamar brought out the sword soul, which contained the time pool.

The Elder did not recognise the secluded domain nor what it did, but he did notice the sheer power contained. Maybe not the amount of laws, but the true essence inside. The meaning.

He felt a chill run down his spine as Hamar formed his sword soul and with his trembling growing he put both his hands on the sword's handle.

To one knee.

Hamar dropped to one knee and brought the sword soul up above his head and stabbed it down. He used all of his strength, his emotions pouring through his aura and giving it a sharp feeling. The sword pierced the floor and his aura poured out and shot straight down. Opposing that force, Hamar looked up to Elder Future Stillness.

"Please!" He bowed his head deeply, "help me..."

Hamar kept his head down and tightly closed his eyes as tears streamed out. They dropped onto he floor, inside Hou watched on with surprised emotions. He had sensed deep down what Hamar was feeling but seeing it let out son clearly he felt speechless.

As he continued to push the sword down, he felt a pair of hands. His arms were splayed wide as if he was Boeing respectfully and now he felt his arms being pushed up. He loosened is grip on the sword soul and let himself being carried upwards, but still he kept his head down. He listened carefully, wishing for something good.

"Head up," Elder Future Stillness nodded his head and ordered Hamar to follow suite. He wiped a tear from the corner of his eyes, "Hamar, truly, you have moved me."

He smiled and shook his head, "But there's no need for all of this. I will definitely help you!" He turned Hamar around and walked to his side. A she did, he explained, "A certain person had told me you were coming, and I've prepared something for you."

He reached out his hand and a thread of laws streamed out of his fingertip, "You came to the right person for this kind of help. What's my name?"

Hamar rubbed his tear-soaked eyes, "W-What?"

Elder Future Stillness chuckled, "My name. My title. What the sect calls me."

"U-uh, Nine Clouds Future Stillness?"

The Elder put his hand on Hamar's shoulder, "Now that's exactly right. Your master is named 'Purple Miasma' and what does he control?" He condensed the laws streaming out of his fingertips and they turned purple, "Miasma of course! Miasma laws."

The laws turned translucent from purple again and then they transformed themselves into the shape of a doorway. Elder Future Stillness opened the door and walked inside, holding his hand back for Hamar.

"What does that mean for me? I cultivate only one set of laws. Time." Elder Future Stillness' smile grew wider, "I take time and control it, and use it to mimic all other paths."

Hamar saw his vision and took a step forward, he joined in with the Elder and walked through the door of light. He walked past the Elder's outstretched hand and walked into the white void.

He looked back, "How much time can you give me?"

Elder Future Stillness dropped his outstretched hand and closed the door, "I can buy you century. You've got a century in this mana-rich environment before it would do more harm than good."

Hamar nodded, "That's enough...yes, that's enough."

Elder Future Stillness paused, "Are you sure you can do it? What makes you think that in a century you can rival the eons of time Yi Sect has on you?"

Hamar looked down and smiled. Then his head shot back and he laughed, "I don't. I don't have any sort of assurance. But do you know what I have?"

He looked to Elder Future Stillness, "I have people I want to protect, a world worth protecting behind me. I have everything to lose, while Yi Sect only seeks destruction...I can't afford to lose."

"I won't..."
