Elder Future Stillness locked eyes with Hamar and at the same time he circulated time laws within himself; injecting them with certain intents and emotions.
Time laws were much harder for the ordinary cultivator to use, for one big reason which is that time was such a hard thing for a human to comprehend. Time wasn't something physical you could experiment with, it's something that all around but nowhere close. Something that everyone experiences but none truly understand.
None except the third elder of the Nine Clouds Sovereign Sect, Future Stillness. He had always been attuned with time and once he got the opportunity to become a cultivator, he quickly became the foremost leader in time path. However, time path is a special pathway. It is not only a pathway that works against the world, the one that Araxis had created. It is a path that goes against the entire 'Sea of Worlds'; a term Araxis had taught Elder Future Stillness to refer to all the different worlds.
Elder Future Stillness turned his back to Hamar and waved back, "I can only hope you luck, see 'ya!" With that, he walked out of the white void and closed the door; leaving Hamar alone.
Using a tunnel he had into the void, the elder spoke to Hamar, "I'll start the time chamber now, make use of it as much as you can. 100 years, I hope you're prepared."
Hamar, I side the time chamber, nodded. He cracked his neck and sat down, crossing his legs, "I've got this one shot, and I won't take it lightly. Start!"
Elder Future Stillness cut the connection and snickered, "I like your enthusiasm kid," he held out his two hands and started to start up a technique, "Let's hope it pays off...and also that this technique works."
Hamar de-summoned his sword soul from the outside world and re-summoned it inside the time chamber. He held out his hand and the glowing water flowed out of the air into the shape of a sword.
After a moment, he saw the water slow down and he knew, "So it's activated. 100 years, huh." He took a deep breath and sensed the mana in the air.
"And an increased quantity of mana with no laws to instruct me...perfect. Hou...are you here?" Hamar swung his sword a few times in a circle, forming a channel of aura that would help to funnel mana into him at a steady rate.
"I'm here. 100 years is quite some time to be in an empty void training alone...are you sure you can do it?"
Hamar snorted, "It's like I said to Elder Future Stillness, no. I'm not sure I can do it, but I gotta. Besides...I'm not alone, I have you, don't I?"
And resonating from his soul, from a section of his soul he felt Hou's response. Not through words but through emotions, they were together in this fight. Hamar quietened his mind and started to breathe in, taking in mana and transforming it into aura. Once again, it split into two sections. One to his stomach, one to his head. The royal authority began to mature while his aura reserves filled back up.
Outside the time chamber, Elder Future Stillness fell down to the ground coughing up blood. He rubbed at his mouth and stained his hand a vivid red colour.
He clutched at his heart and winced. As he looked down towards his torso and he bit his lips, causing another gush of blood to fall down and sleep into the floorboards. His entire left side had become illusory and barely visible as he spat out a mixture of blood and phlegm and punched the ground.
"Damn causality," he whispered out of gritting teeth, "You better not have scammed me now,"
He fell to the ground and rolled onto his side, floundering in his pocket for a few moments. At the same time, the patch of nothing-ness consuming his torso grew. Finally, he found what he was looking for and pulled out a glass orb. He looked inside to see a wisp of white energy flying around, "Causality..."
Elder Future Stillness used all of his strength and crushed the glass orb, unleashing the causality. The white wisp shot into the air and tried to fly away until a vacuum was created by Future Stillness' torso. It's tail wiggled into the air and tried to run but slowly, the wisp got sucked into Elder Future Stillness' torso and his flesh regrew.
At the same time, deep down in Elder Future Stillness' self, he felt a shock. Like being awoken by a jug of cold water, he sat up and took in a deep breath of cold air. He breathed in and out deeply, and watched the world come back into colour as his senses started to return. He felt his torso in a hurry and fell into a state of euphoria at it's existence.
His smile grew upwards and he steadied himself in the pool of blood below him. Or what he thought was a pool of blood, but as he looked close he realised it was all gone. As if it never happened...but as a time cultivator, he could tell it happened. He experienced it, but still he felt an unease.
He outstretched his hand and pulled out a line of time laws, he weaved them through the air and formed a piece of fabric which he laid on the floor where he was a few moments prior.
"..." On the fabric, the wood panels returned back to normal, "No blood in the past either..."
He flicked his fingers and the fabric swept itself off the floor and back into his Spirit Stone Soul. He rubbed his head and winced in pain, "I just had to pick Time path...only sort of cultivation that'll risk your very existence just by using it. I can only thank God, haha, that I...found god."
He laughed to himself for a while until he slowly quieted down and steeped in silence. He looked to his hand, to the glass shards in his hand.
"Causality huh...even a god is restrained by it." He looked to the side, to where he had previously opened the door to the time chamber, "Hamar, this better be worth it. Even I don't want Yi Sect to win, I want this world to continue...please, succeed."
