Chapter 104 - chapter 103

Mo Huai watched as Hou absorbed the pill. The pill was ranked at Altocumulus, logically it would be too strong for a beginner who hasn't even formed their Spirit Stone Soul.

However, Mo Huai saw the strength of the Celestial Law Amplifying Physique and decided to push the limits. If anything went wrong, even though he is not a healer he could keep Hou from dying if need be.

When Hou spat out blood, Mo Huai jumped but he did not step in yet. Then as he was watching Hou, he stood up and punched the air, the wind cracking.

But Hou did not stop there,

'Strength isn't only pure muscle power...it can be mentally strength. Like the wise old man in the 'growth' inheritance!'

Hou then stood still in his post-punch position. He was contemplating the new impression of strength he was gaining, leading new a new expression.

Then he realised the power of mental strength and he activated the laws, using the impression of 'mental strength' to exert a real tangible effect.

Paradoxically Hou was using mental energy to create more mental energy. He was using the power of strength the push his consciousness to produce mental energy faster than before.

However, he gained an intuitive realisation. While this could give him a temporary surge in mental energy, over time it would exhaust the consciousness. So in turn for much mental energy now, the mental energy later will be slower to refill.

This was a basic assumption from Hou's knowledge. Strength always comes from somewhere, in this case it came from the future potential.

Hou then collapsed exhausted after absorbing the laws and comprehending a new impression to expression.

Mo Huai watch this all unfold and as Hou fell down he formed a soft cloudy below him. Hou fell down onto the cloud and fell soundly asleep.

He kept Hou asleep but put up a small formation which would facilitate regeneration. Then he waited for the dragon to move.

The dragon waited another few short moments until it decided the time was right. It lifted itself off the water, the water it repelled quickly rushing back into place. It flew in a circle back to the sky.

Once it was high in sky, the dragon once again roared. This roaring was the natural way the Heavenly Space Dragons used their space laws. They were unlike human cultivators, they worked on different mechanisms.

When the dragon roared or used a sort of external cultivation, space laws were sent out of its body and tore through the space. Heavenly Space Dragons create a separate dimension over their habitat which allows them to travel far quickly.

Under the dragon's scales, the galaxy Hou saw was the space laws which it cultivated. It passively absorbed space laws and used a large amount of them to rip into its own domain.

The space tore, and a dark blue dimension could be seen. This contrasted the bright sun of the Myriad Cloud. The dragon then slithered like a snake and entered the rift in space, entering it's domain.

As it did this Hou woke up, as he rubbed his eyes and looked up he saw the unique dark blue void. His mouth opened and he was astonished by the beauty of the space.

Even though it seemed to be an endless void of dark blue, in other senses it was filled with beauty. Hou heard an angelic sound over the echoing roar of the dragon.

They entered the space rift and in a second they roared again, tearing a rift in space. In only a moment, they had traveled hundreds of thousands of kilometres. This was the strength of the Heavenly Space Dragon!

'In a way strength is not merely power, it is your unique ability... Space isn't something barren, it can be full yet empty...'

Hou was feeling a new impression of strength and space was already forming. They were only in their infant stage, but with time and luck he would gain new impressions and therefore expressions.

The Dragon roared again, and space tore open, revealing a large and spread out city. It spread over a large distance. Hou looked down at it, seeing the architecture.

It was a huge city made of small, at most three stories tall, building. Except in the centre, it was like a separate city had been transplanted there.

The centre had a barren circle, then huge castles, palaces, mountains... The whole centre was built of extremely unique buildings which all showed off different styles.

However, as the building radiated outwards they became smaller and smaller. At one point they all became small insignificant buildings in which most of the population lived.

Mo Huai saw they were almost there and spoke,

"This is the top city in all of Nine Clouds Sovereign Sect, Freedom Haven! This is where all the rich and powerful lived, and those who wanted to make it big. It is full of different establishments. From auctions, to fighting arenas, to specialist shops, to gambling joints."

"I guess it's a city of opportunity..."

"Indeed, this whole place had become the economic centre of the sect, we'll be going to the inheritance but first we should look about. Perhaps you want to test your fighting, of course with a hidden identity."

Hou nodded. The Heavenly Space Dragon was flying down from the sky above the city, this was not a common experience nor was it especially rare.

The Heavenly Space Dragon only held the most important guests, Elders or those with equivalent status. While many watched, a good amount of the city ignored it.

Finally, the dragon reached land and the very centre. The whole centre of the city was barren, this was because it was where the dragon landed. It coiled around the barren empty land until it was flat on the ground.

Hou and Mo Huai both jumped off the dragon and instantly it disappeared. The dragon did not not need to roar like before it directly assimilated with it's space domain, becoming dormant until it is needed again.
