Before I start rambling again...
Let's dive right into today's episode!
--------
"Hey, stop. Don't go after him now-let him be," Joong said, stopping Pond as he tried to chase after Phuwin.
"You can't even walk properly. Dunk is with Phuwin now, just relax. Later, you can talk to him privately," Joong added, gently guiding Pond back.
"But I need to talk to him," Pond said, his voice tinged with frustration and worry.
"I know you're in a hurry, but trust me-you don't want to have this kind of conversation here. Later, I'll drive you to his place so you guys can talk things out properly."
"Let's go have some drinks, cool off a bit, yeah?" Joong offered as he helped Pond into his car, and they drove off.
As they sat at a small bar waiting for their drinks, Joong turned to Pond with curiosity written all over his face.
"What's going on between you two?" he asked.
"I fucked up," Pond said immediately, worry clouding his features.
"It's no news that I drunk-text Phuwin," Pond added.
"Wait-you actually do that?" Joong asked, surprised. "I thought that was just something Phuwin said to hype your ship."
"No, I really do," Pond said with a dry laugh. "Almost every time I'm drunk, I text him."
Joong leaned in, listening intently.
"Phuwin actually asked me one time, before he ever made it public-he asked if I had feelings for him because of all the 'I love yous' I send. But I told him no. At the time, I didn't. I just... I wanted to express how much I appreciated him. I don't know how to say cheesy things when I'm sober."
"So what's the problem now?" Joong asked.
"Well... my feelings have changed. For a long time now. But by the time they did, Phuwin had already stopped taking my messages seriously. So I started doing something worse-I started touching him when I was drunk."
Joong blinked. "Seriously?"
"Yeah," Pond sighed. "At first, I thought he'd confront me about it-like he did with the texts. But he didn't. And I pretended not to remember, so we never... talked about it."
"Usually, if I got too handsy, he'd just push me away. He never took it seriously. But last week... I stayed over at his place, and-" Pond paused, rubbing his face. "I don't even know how it happened, but we made out. I stopped halfway through and basically told him to forget about it."
"You did not," Joong said, laughing in disbelief. "You gave me great advice when I was having issues with Dunk, but look at you-can't even handle your own drama."
"Joong, this is not the time to laugh at me," Pond groaned, just as the waiter dropped off their drinks. He downed his in one gulp.
Joong chuckled, shaking his head. "Something tells me that's not the end of it."
Pond sighed heavily. "It's not. That same day, we had a workshop for our new series. We were doing some intimacy exercises, and he touched me... a lot. I got worked up, thought maybe he was giving me a sign. But it wasn't that. Then today, when he was massaging my leg, I got worked up again-and I kissed him."
Joong raised a brow. "And now he thinks you're just screwing with his head?"
"Yeah," Pond muttered. "He thinks I'm messing with him."
"Well... are you?" Joong asked, his tone serious.
"No!" Pond said firmly. "I just don't know how to explain my feelings to him. And I don't think he likes me-not the way I like him."
He looked down, sulking, the weight of everything catching up with him.
-
"What's wrong with him?" Dunk asked as he walked over and sat beside Joong.
"He's drunk," Joong replied, eyes fixed on Pond, who had his head buried in the table in front of them, clearly defeated.
"Thank God you came," Joong added with a sigh. "I was wondering how I'd get his drunk ass home."
"How's Phuwin doing, by the way?" Joong asked, glancing at Dunk.
"Hurt," Dunk answered simply. "He thinks Pond is messing with him."
Joong let out a tired breath. "He just needs to talk to Phuwin-clear up the misunderstanding. But not tonight. He's way too wasted."
"I'm not that drunk," Pond mumbled from the table. He slowly lifted his head, eyes glassy. "Take me to Phuwin's house. In fact-" he fumbled with his phone-"let me text him."
Before he could hit send, both Joong and Dunk swiftly snatched the phone from his hands.
"Hey!" Pond protested.
"If you don't want me to call him," he continued, voice slurring slightly, "then take me to see him. Please. I'm not brave enough to face Phuwin when I'm sober."
He looked at them with pleading eyes, desperate and raw.
Joong and Dunk exchanged a glance-silent but heavy with understanding. Pond wasn't just drunk-he was drowning in feelings he could no longer hide.
