"Obito, I need your help!"
Kakashi burst into the room, slightly out of breath. Obito and Rin were sitting together, wrapping a beautifully decorated gift box—clearly a wedding present for Naruto and Hinata. Rin looked up at Kakashi's frantic entrance, her expression full of concern.
"Kakashi, what's wrong?" Rin asked softly. "Why are you so anxious?"
Kakashi waved his hands, still catching his breath. "Ah, there's something urgent I need Obito's help with! It's about Naruto's wedding tomorrow—I can't handle it alone!"
Rin blinked in surprise, then smiled gently and looked at Obito. "If it's about Naruto, you should go. Go help Kakashi."
Obito sighed and nodded. "Alright, alright. Let's go before he loses his head." He turned to Kakashi with a teasing grin. "You're the Sixth Hokage now, you know. Try acting like one."
Kakashi groaned. "Don't start, Obito. Just follow me!"
Obito chuckled as the two left the house. "What's this about Naruto now? Don't tell me he lost the wedding rings or something."
As they walked, Kakashi quickly explained everything—Naruto's hangover, the unexpected need to arrange the wedding's security detail, and his plan to coordinate with the other villages for temporary reinforcements.
When he finished, Obito grinned. "That's it? Hah! Piece of cake. You really do panic over the simplest things."
Kakashi gave him a look. "Easy for you to say. I've got the entire village waiting for orders, and the Five Kage arriving this afternoon."
They arrived at the Hokage's Office soon after. Shizune was already there, arms crossed, foot tapping impatiently.
"Hokage-sama, why are you just getting here?" she asked with exasperation.
Kakashi scratched his head sheepishly. "Ah, something came up. My apologies, Shizune."
She sighed deeply. "Fine. But please, hurry up and change into your formal attire. The Kage will arrive soon."
"Right, right!" Kakashi replied. He turned to Obito. "Wait here for a bit. I'll be down in a minute."
Obito leaned casually against the wall. "Don't take too long, Hokage-sama."
Upstairs, Shizune helped Kakashi put on his Hokage robe and hat. "Hokage-sama," she said seriously, "have you finalized the list of shinobi who'll be on duty during Naruto's wedding tomorrow?"
Kakashi paused. "The personnel are confirmed, but… the final list isn't ready yet."
Shizune blinked. "What? Hokage-sama, Naruto's wedding is tomorrow! How can you not have the list ready?"
Kakashi sighed. "I know, I know. But I just came up with a good idea—I'll tell you once I meet Gaara."
Shizune could only shake her head. "You always do things last minute."
Kakashi smiled beneath his mask. "Heh, some things never change."
He grabbed his hat, adjusted his Hokage cloak, and headed downstairs. Shizune followed, muttering under her breath about how troublesome her Hokage was.
At the main door, the Hokage's personal Anbu unit was already assembled.
"Hokage-sama," one of them said, bowing. "Everything is ready."
Kakashi nodded. "Good. Let's go."
The group made their way toward the village gates. According to the schedule, the Kage of the other four great nations would be arriving shortly. As host, it was only proper for Kakashi to greet them personally.
At Konoha's main gate, the team waited under the midday sun. After about ten minutes, a swirl of sand appeared in the distance.
"They're here," Kakashi said, smiling.
Sure enough, Gaara descended gracefully on his sand cloud. Kankurō and Temari followed behind.
"Hokage-sama, it's been a long time," Gaara said, extending his hand.
"Welcome to Konoha, Kazekage-dono," Kakashi replied warmly, shaking it.
Temari looked around. "Hmm? Where's Naruto? And where's Shikamaru? I thought he'd be here too."
Kakashi chuckled. "Naruto's busy preparing for his wedding tomorrow. He's… probably still recovering from last night."
Temari smirked knowingly. "Figures."
Gaara smiled faintly. "That's fine. We can't interrupt his big day."
Before they could continue chatting, a shadow passed over them—three figures descending from the sky.
"Kazekage-dono! You're early as always!" came an elderly but powerful voice.
It was the Third Tsuchikage, Ōnoki, accompanied by Kurotsuchi and Akatsuchi.
Gaara turned and smiled. "Tsuchikage-sama, you're still as lively as ever."
Ōnoki chuckled. "Hmph. You young ones think I'll retire before the fun begins? Not a chance."
During the Fourth Great Ninja War, Gaara and Ōnoki had led divisions together. Over time, they had built a deep bond—one of mutual respect and friendship. Ōnoki had often said that if Gaara weren't Kazekage, he'd have wanted him as his own successor.
Kurotsuchi laughed. "Oh really, Grandpa? You were just complaining about back pain a minute ago!"
Ōnoki scowled. "Kurotsuchi! Don't embarrass me in front of everyone!"
Before the laughter could settle, a crack of thunder echoed nearby. In a flash of lightning, the Raikage, A (Ay), appeared with his entourage—Darui, C (pronounced "Shee"), and the ever-energetic Killer B.
"Hahaha! I didn't expect all of us to gather again after the war!" Raikage bellowed, clapping Kakashi on the shoulder. "Hokage, you're looking well!"
Kakashi smiled. "Raikage-dono, it's good to see you again."
Killer B strutted forward, waving his hands rhythmically. "Yo yo! Naruto's wedding's gonna be tight, the Five Kage together—what a sight!"
BAM!
Raikage punched him squarely on the head. "Enough with the rapping! Behave yourself!"
"Yowch! Brother, that's cold!" B groaned, rubbing his head.
Raikage grunted. "You're lucky I even let you leave the village. If it weren't for Naruto, you'd still be locked up for disturbing the peace!"
B pouted but didn't argue. "Man, can't a rapper get some love?"
Just then, a graceful voice interrupted. "You all certainly know how to make an entrance."
Everyone turned as the last Kage arrived—Terumi Mei, the Fifth Mizukage—accompanied by Chōjūrō and Ao. She smiled as she approached.
"Sorry for the delay," she said warmly. "I had to make sure the wedding gift was perfect."
Kakashi bowed slightly. "Mizukage-dono, welcome. The pleasure's ours."
Soon, all five Kage were standing together once more—the same five who had led the world through war and peace. The atmosphere was filled with nostalgia and respect.
Kakashi looked around and smiled beneath his mask. "Welcome back to Konoha, everyone. The accommodations for you and your escorts have been prepared. Please, follow me."
The five Kage nodded, walking side by side through Konoha's gates. Villagers peeked from the streets, whispering in awe as the leaders of the five great nations passed together—an image that symbolized peace.
As they walked, Kakashi leaned toward Gaara. "Kazekage-dono, I actually need a small favor."
Gaara turned to him. "What kind of favor?"
Kakashi sighed. "Naruto's wedding is tomorrow. As you know, practically everyone in Konoha will want to attend. That means we'll be short on guards and shinobi for security and patrol duty. I was wondering if the Sand Village could spare a few shinobi to help for one day."
Gaara smiled instantly. "Of course. For Naruto, I'd be honored to help."
Kankurō groaned. "We could've planned this earlier, you know. We're already here—how do you expect us to summon backup overnight?"
Temari nodded. "Exactly. We'll have to send word to Suna right away."
The Raikage overheard and laughed. "Kakashi, you should've discussed this sooner! But fine, I'll contribute some of my own men too. Between the four villages, we can handle it."
He looked around proudly. "Our allied shinobi can guard Konoha for a day. That's the least we can do for Naruto Uzumaki—the hero of the world!"
Kakashi chuckled, scratching his head. "You're all right. I've been so caught up in preparations that I nearly forgot the practical details. Shizune's been on my case about it all morning."
Shizune sighed quietly. "Finally, he admits it…"
The group laughed as they continued down the path toward the Hokage Residence. The sight of the Five Kage walking through Konoha once again filled the village with hope—a living reminder that peace was something worth protecting, no matter the chaos that came before it.
