Chapter 36 - Chapter 36

Kanto Defence Association

Sabrina closed the door of the remand room with sheer force, almost to the point of breaking it. The two officers who were with her flinched from her temper.

"Ma..ma'am?" one of them asked uncertainly, just to receive a ridiculously cold glare from the former gym leader. He froze up in his place as the other officer sighed at his stupidity. With a grunt, the psychic stormed off to the Elite Member room of KDA.

"This is outrageous," the green haired girl muttered angrily as she entered the Elite Room, shutting the door fiercely once more.

Poor Doors.

Lance, the Champion of Johto was sitting on a couch, peacefully drinking his coffee while reading a newspaper. The sudden outburst even startled him as some of the coffee spilled on his hand.

"Geez, women," he muttered annoyingly as he wiped the spilled liquid with a napkin. Sabrina just ignored him and walked towards the coffee machine to get some herself.

She sat opposite from Lance silently with her hot coffee, as she slowly took some sips, closing her eyes.

Lance decided to let her cool a bit as he continued reading the paper. After some minutes of uncomfortable silence, he finally spoke.

"So... how did it go?" he asked carefully, lowering the newspaper.

The frown from before was back on her face, as Sabrina clearly looked annoyed from the question.

"What?" she asked, even though she knows what he is taking about.

Lance sighed. "I am talking about the interrogation," he said clearly. "What did you find out?"

Sabrina just closed her eyes back and remained silent.

"Do I need to repeat myself?" he asked sternly, raising an eyebrow.

"Nothing."

"Wha-?" Lance started as she interrupted.

"They told me nothing," the former gym leader said plainly.

The Dragon Master still was confused and a bit shocked. He sighed once more.

"It's good to joke around once in a while, but I suggest you tell me what they-," Lance started, thinking Sabrina was kidding when she said they didn't give her any information, but stopped when the woman finally lost it.

"I TOLD YOU THEY DIDN'T TELL ME A DAMN THING," she yelled at Lance, who jumped and cowered back on the sofa, using the newspaper as a protection.

"I used every one of my techniques I know. EVERY ONE OF THEM. But even if I kill them, those stupid mundane hunters won't bother to open their shitty mouths at all, f*ck," the psychic type expert let it all out on the poor Champion.

'Just why did it have to be me?' Lance thought irritatedly as he silently signalled Sabrina to calm down. The girl inhaled a deep breath as she let it out and recomposed herself.

"I apologise," she said in her usual calm voice and continued to drink her coffee, as if nothing happened at all. The Dragon tamer sighed in relief as he readjusted his position.

"Usually criminals speak out everything they know just with a little push from us," Lance said frowning deeply. "It's almost like they were trained not to say anything if they ever got caught."

"Ridiculous," Sabrina muttered.

"Considering they didn't say anything even to you, then I-,"

"They did say one thing," Sabrina interrupted him as Lance looked at her with disbelief.

"Oh. Well I think you could have said that earlier instead of throwing your tantrum on me," he said with a hint of sarcasm, frowning a bit madly.

Sabrina looked a bit embarrassed and coughed a little.

"Anyway, what did they say?" he asked.

"Not they. Only one of them," she corrected him. Lance looked horrified.

"Don't tell me you-"

"He's alive. Just scared to death," she said quickly. "His partner told me that-,"

"That?" Lance asked.

"Team Cosmos's next target is the World Academy."

"I told you it was futile," said Flint with a smirk.

"At least I battled with him unlike you," Aaron said, countering back.

After the battles and trainings, the gang were now starting head out of the gym one by one for lunch. Ash was just returning his Snorlax when his phone buzzed. He took it

out and glanced at it just to see a message from Goh, the nigga.

Come and meet me in the research facility.

Ash sighed. "Hey guys, I will see you later," he called out to his friends.

"Alright, see you later," bid Sawyer.

"Take care Ash," said Korrina, smiling.

"Let's have a battle later," suggested Flint as Ash was almost out.

"Okaaay," he replied back and walked out of the gym.

"Now you are challenging him to a battle? You really are a scaredy-meowth," Aaron mocked to which Flint just grunted in response.

Ash was walking through an empty corridor. Empty because almost every student were busy with their works and activities. He didn't even get the chance to check on the girls that often and vice-versa. It was understandable.

He was walking past a store room whose door was slightly ajar. He was deep in his thoughts when suddenly, a hand came out from the room and groped his. Ash was broken out of his thoughts. Before he could comprehend, the hand pulled him inside roughly and slammed the door shut.

"WHAT THE-??" Before he could yell in surprise, a soft hand force shut his mouth, muffling his voice. A familiar giggle could be heard from the person. He squinted his eyes and saw a beautiful face in the dim light of the room. There was a faint smell of strawberry in the air. Even in an obscure view, he could tell exactly who it was.

"Serena?" he said in a surprised tone after the honey blonde girl removed her hand, still giggling.

"Hey Ash," she said in a soft whisper as she leaned on the boy, pushing him against the door. She sent one of her cute smiles at him, flushing the boy completely.

"O-oh umm, h-hey aa," he tried to form a sentence, but couldn't due to being nervous all of a sudden.

"Mmmm?" the Kalos Queen hummed as she dropped her chin on his chest, looking directly at his eyes, which was super effective. Ash turned red from embarrassment and the close contact, as he gazed away from her.

"Y-you needed anything, Serena?" he asked, trying to adjust himself.

"Oh? Do I need a reason to check on my boyfriend? Mmmm?" she asked with a pout, pressing her soft and big breasts against his body.

'Yeah more like harassment,' he thought.

"What was that?" she asked sternly

"No-nothing," he said quickly. "Yeah umm... It's good that you checked up on me.... and I am glad you are doing okay so...aaa..let's," the raven haired said, trying to get out of her grasp, but in vain.

"Oh Ash," she said, putting a finger on his lips, sending a static shock through his body.

"You are so dense. I didn't meant 'checking up' like 'how are you?' or 'are you doing well?' that way," the honey blonde girl said as she wrapped her arms around his neck.

"You should know how to keep a woman happy," she said seductively, licking her lips as she stared at his.

Ash gulped, now understanding what she was trying to do. He knew better than to give into hormones.

"He he, umm I-I don't know what you are saying," he said laughing nervously, trying to play dumb.

Something brushed against Serena's legs. She looked down to see a bulge inside Ash's pants. She went a bit red after realising what it was.

"Junior doesn't agree with you," she muttered quietly.

"Huh? Junior who?" Ash asked, completely oblivious of the matter.

"Ugh, just give me a kiss. I need some refreshment after all the work I've been doing this days," she said irritatedly and cupped his cheeks.

"Oh-I-I... mmmmmm," Ash's protests were consumed when Serena pressed her lips against his. It was a bit hasty at the start and one-sided, but soon enough they both started making out.

The smacking wet sounds filled the small, dark store room. Ash wrapped his arms around her waist and turned on his back, now pushing the pretty girl against the door roughly. Serena moaned as she deepened the kiss even more. Ash's hands were groping her body excitedly which she didn't seem to mind at all. Their tongues danced with each other between their mouths, sucking and relishing each other every now and then. She tasted sweet just like a strawberry, as the boy enjoyed it as much as he could. Due to the rush in their hormones, they started to hit every stuff and shoved them away that was around, not wanting to interrupt their steamy moment.

"The supplies ran out quicker than I thought. Oh well, I will just get some more from the store room," a janitor said to himself as he walked towards a store room. More particularly, the store room.

When he got closer, he heard some strange noises from inside it. He got suspicious and walked closer, as he planted his ear on the locked door. He was stunned when he heard some stuff falling off by themselves on the floor continuously. He was about to open the door, when he heard the cry of a girl, giggling, laughing and shrilling sounds as well. He instantly backed away, loosing his balance in the process and fell on the floor.

There was a visible look of fear on his face.

"G-g-g-gh-gh-ghost!!" he said with trembling voice pointing his shaky finger at the door. He immediately got up and started running as fast as could.

"SOMEBODY HEEEEELLPP!" his screams could be heard as he frantically ran down the stairs, receiving some weird looks from the passersby.

Meanwhile on the other side after pausing the kiss for a moment, Ash shoved away her shoulder length hair and started planting kisses on her neck, occasionally licking it with his tongue. Serena moaned in pleasure and laughed from the tickling sensation.

"Ahh....A-Ash," she moaned his name, causing the boy to go even more crazy as he

started slurping her neck, cheek and then again to her lip as the two shared another kiss before finally breaking apart. It was getting very suffocating inside the room so, they quickly got out. Luckily, no one noticed them.

"T-that.....was.....wow," Serena said dreamily as she leaned onto Ash's side, who was blushing hard with his rapidly pounding heartbeat. Both were panting and sweating from the session, but it was definitely worth a few calories.

"Y-yeah," Ash managed to say with a smile.

Serena checked the time on her phone and bit her tongue.

"Oh my, I will be late for my rehearsal," she said starting to run off, but not before giving Ash another peck on his cheek. The boy looked at her.

"Thanks for the refreshment," she said with a wink and ran off to the studio section. The raven haired teen just stared distantly, trying to process what just happened.

"Jeez," he muttered, shaking his head with a smile as he started to go to the...

Wait.

"Where was I going again?" he wondered aloud scratching his head when his phone rang that moment. He blindly picked it up.

"Hello, this is As-"

"ASH! WHERE IN THE WORLD ARE YOU?" yelled a voice of Goh as Ash immediately remembered.

'The Lab, right,' he thought, face palming.

"Coming Goh," he replied and quickly sprinted towards the direction of the lab..... if he knew where it was.

***

"...made it," Ash said panting as he started to enter the lab. After a few wrong turns and miscalculating the map, he finally reached his destination.

The lab was just like a fine research center for pokemon. There were many devices, screens, artificial clones, shelves with fossils, machines and gadgets for studying and researching on pokemon. It was very expensive and if anyone got their hands on it, they would be rich overnight.

Ash looked around as he noticed there were a few students working as most of them already left for lunch. Spotting the kid-who-catch-mon-without-weakening-them-first wasn't so hard.

Goh was tidying up some papers when Ash approached him.

"Goh," he said catching his attention.

Goh looked at him and frowned. "Oh, so you finally made it?" he asked sarcastically.

Ash laughed nervously.

"What were doing you anyway?" Goh asked him. The vision of the locked store room and smooching the honey blonde girl inside it instantly flared up in his mind. Ash shook his head, shoving the thought away.

"I was..umm...sidetracked," he replied.

Goh looked a bit suspicious, but didn't push it.

"That's typical of you," he said casually as Ash sighed in relief.

"So why did you call me?" asked Ash.

"Oh yeah," Goh said as he took out a pokeball from his pocket and handed over to Ash.

"Thanks for lending us Melmetal's pokeball," Goh said appreciatively. Ash smiled and put the pokeball in his pocket.

"It was nothing. So did you learn anything?" he asked.

"A ton," Goh replied excitedly. "Gary was really psyched about getting the chance to study a rare mythical pokemon. I am sure it will help us out in our exam too."

"That's great to know," Ash said smiling.

"Say, it's almost lunch time," Goh said glancing at his phone clock. "Wanna go together?" he asked.

"Ah, you go on ahead. I need to pick up Pikachu from my dorm too," Ash said.

"Fair enough. I will see you later then," he said and walked out of the lab as Ash followed suit.

***

Ash was walking towards the boy's dorm when someone called out to him.

"Ash."

He turned around to see a familiar purple haired girl running upto him.

"Oh hey Iris," the boy greeted with a smile.

"Here," she said handing over Ash a pokeball.

"Thanks for letting me train with your Garchomp," she said. "Not gonna lie, it almost felt like I was fighting with Cynthia's. Dragonite had a good stretch too."

Ash laughed. "Well her's is a lot stronger if I am being honest," he said taking the ball.

"Though I wanted to train with your Dragonite which you didn't let me use. Can I ask why?" Iris asked curiously.

"Well, it doesn't really like to fight against its own species," he replied with a sigh.

Iris looked thoughtful before she replied.

"That's very noble of it if you ask me," she said smiling.

"Yeah," Ash agreed.

"I will see you at lunch then," the kid said as she ran off afterwards.

Ash gazed around a bit then started walking, when suddenly he caught a glimpse of something. The academy had lots of decorations around it like small gardens, flower beds, trees, statue, sculptures, etcetera. In the corner of the boy's dorm, there was a small garden too. A girl could be seen standing there and seem to be watering the herbs. Her long amethyst hair was flowing behind her back. An Espeon could be seen beside her.

"Hm? It's Anabel," Ash muttered to himself. He looked around and saw no one around her. He decided to go and say hi since it's been a while. He slowly approached her from behind without her notice.

Anabel was humming by herself and watering the plants when suddenly two hands wrapped around her waist from behind.

"Hey-" Before Ash could even say anything, he was answered with a splash of water to his face, shutting him off. The Salon Maiden was startled from the contact, that's why she used her sprinkler on the person, just to find her boyfriend instead.

"A-Ash? I-I am so sorry," she said quickly and started to wipe his face with a napkin.

The boy looked around and saw that they were alone. Anabel was busy wiping his wet face when Ash grabbed her waist and pulled her close to him. The girl shrieked and blushed in embarrassment.

"Ash! W-what are you-?"

"Just wanted to say hi," he said with a sly smile and leaned his forehead against her. Anabel looked around quickly and tried to push him away, but he was stronger.

"Not here Ash, please," she said in a whisper, her face red like a tomato. Espeon looked at them. She sighed and walked away, giving them some time alone.

"Aw, you don't like me?" Ash asked with a pout.

"No," Anabel answered, shocking the boy.

"I love you," she corrected with a smile and pushed her lips on his, cupping his face. Ash deepened the kiss as well pulling her even closer. It wasn't as steamy as the last one, but it was very sweet. They smooched each other with tender for a full minute, before pulling apart.

Anabel giggled and resumed her work, as Ash just smiled.

"So, what are you doing here?" he asked.

"Exhausted from all the training today. I always do stuff like this to clear my mind," she replied.

"You can always come to me," Ash whispered teasingly, inclining close to her. Anabel blushed slightly and playfully pushed him away.

"How have you been doing?" she asked changing the topic.

"Training, well mostly the others than myself," Ash replied with a laugh.

"Say, I've been wanting to ask this," Anabel said frowning as she turned to Ash. "You are a Champion yourself, aren't you? So you can challenge the other Champions anytime you want. Why bother to go through the tournament and all?"

Ash gathered his thoughts before articulating his reply.

"That's true but,' he started glancing at the academy. "It just doesn't suit me to skip something that's challenging. Besides, it's a good opportunity to settle the score with many of my rivals. And if I win the whole thing, I will challenge the Kalos Elite Four first before facing Diantha."

Anabel closed her eyes and smiled. "You are always so honest Ash. One of the many things I like about you," she said, smiling sweetly. Ash smiled back and gave another kiss on her lips, which lasted for ten good seconds.

"Thanks Annie," he said, causing the girl to go red again.

"I will see you later then, bye," Ash said, taking his leave.

"Okay Ash. Thanks for coming," she called back as he waved her off, before finally entering his dorm.

***

'I don't know why, but this day is going really good for me,' Ash thought happily as he was walking towards his room. His hands were inside his jacket pockets when suddenly his phone rang.

"Who could that be?" he said to himself and looked at the caller ID. His eyes widened a bit.

'I had to jinx it,' he thought, sighing mentally.

He couldn't risk picking up the phone here so, he quickly sprinted to his room. He opened the door and picked up the call instantly.

"Ash?" the voice asked from the other side of the phone.

"Yes Lance, what is it?" Ash answered as he dropped himself on the couch.

Pikachu, who heard his trainer entering the room, immediately shot up and sit beside him with curiosity.

"Well, its an emergency," the Johto regional

champion said, a bit uncertainty in his voice.

Ash sighed. "You always call on emergencies. Now tell me what it is," he said.

"Nothing special. I just need you to come back to Kanto."

"Ok no problem. All I need to do is -" Ash started when he finally realised what Lance just said.

"COME BACK TO KANTO??!" he yelled and shot up from the couch, almost throwing the rodent off.

Lance from the other side of the call just sweatdropped at his reaction.

"Let me explain," he said.

***

"So this guy knows something about Team Cosmos's next target, which is the academy itself?" Ash asked in a confirming voice. Lance had explained the situation to him briefly and the reason he wanted Ash there.

"Yes. Apparently, our hunch was right," he said.

"I understand now why you need me there," said Ash with a frown. "But its so sudden-"

"Don't worry about that," Lance interrupted him. "I've already informed Professor Oak about it. And as for your departure, a private jet should be arriving there in a few minutes. The location of it will be sent to you as well," he said.

Ash was flabbergasted. "It sounds like you weren't expecting a denial from me," he said.

"I think only you will be able to spill out the full information," said Lance, ignoring his statement.

"I still can't believe they refused to say anything to Sabrina," said Ash with disbelief.

"You are not the only one Ash," Lance reassured him, shaking his head from recalling the tantrum of the psychic.

"Alright. I guess ... I will see you in Kanto," said Ash.

"Hmph," Lance replied as they cut the call.

"Pikapi?" asked the yellow mouse.

"We need to go back to Kanto to interrogate some criminals. Lance said they have information on Team Cosmos," Ash explained briefly as Pikachu nodded in understanding.

***

Ash spent the next ten minutes preparing himself for the flight. He grabbed his back pack and packed some of the stuffs that he will be needing.

"Pika Pikachu?"

"Pokeballs, huh?" he said and opened a drawer of the wardrobe. Lots of pokeballs could be seen neatly arranged inside it. There were most of his pokemons, while some of them was left back at the headquarters.

"I don't think I will be needing them. The pokemon I need for now is back at the HQ and I have you with me," Ash said, smiling to his partner. Pikachu however, was still frowning and looked unsure. He reached down onto the drawer and pushed around the balls back and forth. He continued this for some moments before stopping at a certain pokeball.

"Pika Pika."

Ash looked at the pokeball Pikachu was pointing at as his eyes widened in surprise. He gave his partner an incredulous look.

"Ok...what's the matter Pikachu? Why are you so consistent on taking the pokeballs with us and more importantly, that one,' the trainer asked.

"Pikachu pika pi chu," the yellow mouse pokemon stated its doubts.

"A hunch you say?" asked Ash to which the electric type nodded.

He sighed. "Alright I will take it then," he said and picked up the pokeball. Upon his touch, the device glowed and flared with a powerful aura as it shook valiantly, eager to unleash its wrath. Ash and Pikachu gulped.

"Someone's pretty excited," Ash said with a chuckle.

"Pika chu pikapi cha."

"Fair enough," Ash said with a nod. "It's been a while I let him out for a battle." He looked at the time. "C'mon, with that out of the way, let's get going."

Ash slung on his bag pack and with Pikachu on his shoulder, he went out of his room.

He decided to take a shortcut to the multipurpose building from the dorms. He was passing by a corridor when he heard some voices.

"I am telling you it was there," a scared voice said of a man said.

Ash turned to see two janitors standing in front of a store room.

"You've been working too much," the voice of another janitor said as he came out of the room. "There's no such thing as ghost," he scolded.

"B-b-but I am telling you, I heard weird noises from inside it," the scared janitor said.

It was then Ash carefully looked at the store room and the surroundings around it. It was the same one. He just gulped and continued the rest of the path down the stairs.

"Pika?" the mouse noticed the sudden change in mood of Ash.

"Um nothing, let's go," he said quickly, dropping the topic. Pikachu frowned, but didn't push the matter further.

Ash sprinted the rest of the path and was out of the academy in no time without getting noticed by anyone. He suddenly remembered something. He took out his phone and dialed a number. It rang a few times before a voice spoke from the other side.

"Yo Ash," the voice of Ethan greeted him in his usual manner.

"Hey Ethan. I am leaving for Kanto right now so, take care of things and inform me about anything that happens here in my absence, okay?" he requested.

"No problem Ash, leave it to me," he said reassuringly.

"Alright thanks," Ash said in gratitude and cut the call.

"Now let's see the location that Lance sent to me of my flight," Ash said and turned on his GPS. Immediately, the location popped on his device. It was the same place where he was dropped off the day he came to Kalos. He put back his phone and started looking for a taxi when suddenly, a familiar voice called out his name.

"Ash!"

He silently cursed himself and slowly turned around, just to see a brunette running upto him. Even it was not the right time, Ash couldn't help but smile at her cheery face.

"Hi Ash!" May exclaimed and hugged him.

"Hey May. What are you doing here?" he asked returning the hug.

"Just buying some souvenirs," she said, holding up some bags. She then noticed Ash's outgoing outfit and a bag on his shoulder.

"Are you going somewhere?" she asked, slightly frowning.

Ash tried to think of an excuse.

"Um....its umm....champion stuff," he said, smiling nervously and scratching his head.

May didn't look convinced and she wasn't going to let him go without a proper explanation. Ash knew there was only one way to get out of this situation. He wasn't proud of it, but he had no choice.

May opened her mouth to say something when Ash suddenly pulled her close and blocked her mouth with his, kissing her. May was utterly shocked from the bold action of the boy. However, she was already intrigued by the kiss as she dropped her bags and wrapped her arms around his neck returning it.

'Arceus, get a room,' Pikachu said annoyingly and jumped from Ash's shoulder. Of course, he was ignored.

The two shared a warm and sensational kiss. May giggled a bit between it as she bit her boyfriend's tongue, teasing him. Ash responded by thrusting his into her mouth, exploring the inside making the brunette moan. The two broke apart, gasping for air. May kissed him on his cheek.

"Wow mister. What's gotten into you?" she asked, narrowing her eyes at Ash with a lusty smile.

Ash blushed. "To be honest I don't know myself," he said to which May giggled and kissed him again.

"I should get going now," the coordinator said and picked up her bags.

"Yeah me too," Ash said, releasing her from his grasp, but not before stealing another kiss from her. May put a finger on his lips.

"Get a hold on yourself," she said with a laugh. "You are going to be late silly."

Ash chuckled nervously. "Right. Let's go Pikachu," he said and quickly sprinted off from there with the mouse on his tail. May smiled and continued her way to the academy.

"Nice way to avoid the question," said Pikachu, snickering.

"Shut up," the trainer replied.

He pulled on his dark blue hoodie and called for a taxi. He decided not to use his pokemon so much for travelling, leading to this decision. The mouse got inside with him as the vehicle started and raced off to a place near to their destination.

Meanwhile, a pair of binocular eyes were watching the pair intently from a distance.

"Is he gone?" asked Agent Black.

"Yes Sir," the grunt replied as he pulled down the object from his eyes.

Black smirked triumphantly. "Inform Agent Damon about this. It's time to start our preparations."
