"Clemont, what's going on? I'm scared," said the frightened voice of Bonnie.
"Don't worry, everything will be fine," replied Bonnie's elder brother Clemont, who wasn't assured himself.
Team Cosmos have already taken over the whole campus in a few minutes. The others at first didn't understand why they weren't using their pokemon's power, until they tried to open their pokeballs. The grunts were searching around the campus for any pokemon that were hidden. And sure enough, they found some.
"No, LUCARIO," screamed Korrina when a grunt dragged her partner with a strange collar around its neck. She started to run towards it, only to be stopped in her tracks.
"Malamar, Psychic."
She found herself wrapped in Psychic energy that freezed her on the spot.
"Go back to your position girl. Don't dare to move," another grunt said, bluntly.
"Oh no, Snowy," yelled Lillie as one of the female goons threw the rare Ninetails into a cage.
"This one will give us loads," smirked the grunt as she locked the cage.
"Lillie..." Gladion muttered sadly seeing his sister like this. He clenched his fist in anger, thinking if only his pokemon were here. His Umbreon was still managing to hide in the dark.
"NO! I won't give punks like you my Z-ring," yelled the voice of Kiawe as he was fighting with a grunt.
"So annoying," the grunt muttered and pointed a device that was on his wrist at Kiawe, who instantly froze from the paralysing rays. The grunt smirked and snatched the ring and crystal easily without any struggle. Sophocles on the other hand, didn't argued as he defeatedly handed over his.
"YOU BITCH," yelled May angrily as she tried to punch the Elite member Medea, who was handling the girls by herself.
"Mismagius," Medea said calmly as the floating ghost type pokemon beside her nodded and used Psychic on May, pushing her back harshly. She lost balance and fell on the ground.
"May, are you alright?" asked Dawn in a worried tone.
"Y-yeah," she whimpered.
"Now, Princess," Medea said in a cold tone, addressing Serena. "Hand me over those stones."
The honey blonde girl was reluctant, but didn't do anything resistive as she handed over her keystone and Ampharosite. It broke her from inside, but there was nothing she could do. May and Shauna had to give their Blazikenite and Venasaurite too respectively. Miette, Dawn and Anabel tried to comfort them, but they weren't doing much better.
All of the students were getting robbed right before their eyes, but they couldn't do anything. They never felt so helpless ever before. The Special forces were doing their best to get inside. Even using strong voltage of electricity, it wasn't easy to break through the magnetic force field. The KDA from Kanto had already reached Kalos by then and were heading for Lumiose city. None of the other Elite four members and the Champion could come due to being outside the city or region. As of now, they only have one hope that could probably get them out of this situation.
Damon was simply supervising everything with a proud look in his eyes. He called over a small unit of grunts for the next task.
"Go to the dorms and break into the rooms. Take everything that's valuable," he ordered them. The unit saluted in unison and stormed off to the dorms. The men in the boys dorm and the women in the girls. Some of the boys tried to stop them, only to be blocked by an angry Tyranitar.
"I can't believe how weak we are without our pokemons," said Brendan with hopelessness in his voice.
"This is not fair at all," grunted Calem angrily.
"Shit shit shit," Cameron cursed himself, not being able to do anything to protect his partner, Lucario.
"This must be a joke," said Drew in disbelief.
"All of our hard work, it can't just get purloined," said Brock, depressingly.
Paul just remained silent. He was cursing himself constantly for not seeing this coming a bit earlier.
"Please, don't do this," a voice pleaded to Damon as he turned to his right. The professors were held captive separately by three Ursarings. The voice belonged to Professor Oak.
Damon walked towards them.
"My, my. I hope you are not feeling uncomfortable, are you?" he asked with fake hospitality.
"Look. You can take anything you want, just don't hurt the students," Oak pleaded, concerned for their safety.
"Well, you can see no one is getting hurt," Damon said, gesturing towards the others.
"As long as they co-operate."
"Oh and Professor," he said again in a light voice as Oak looked at him.
"I will need all of your researches too," he said with a smirk.
"WHAT?!" yelled Sycamore.
"You can't do that," said Birch.
"We won't give imbeciles like you anything," chorused Juniper.
"You already have taken all of our equipments from the labs," said Rowan.
Damon sighed. "Too bad," he said and looked at one of the Ursarings.
"Use Hyper Beam on those girls," he said strictly, pointing at a group. The Hibernator pokemon immediately started charging up a Hyper Beam as the professors yelled in shock.
"Alright, PLEASE STOP. We will give you what you want," Oak yelled as Damon snapped his fingers and Ursaring stopped its attack.
"Very good," he said with a smirk. "Dr. Miller," he called out as a long brown haired man approached him. "Go with Professor Oak and take all of their research data." The middle aged man nodded at his order.
"Sir," a grunt seeked his attention as Damon looked at him raising his eyebrow.
"Some pokemon are still hiding themselves in the dark, what should we do?" he informed.
"Where are they hiding?" Damon asked.
"Somewhere near the studios," he replied.
"Why are you asking suggestion for such a mundane task," the voice of an irritated Medea interrupted them as they looked at her.
"Blast those places away, they will come out of their own," she said in a boring tone.
"Yes Ma'am," the grunt saluted and hurried away.
'No Espeon,' Anabel thought, extremely worried for her pokemon who she told to hide with the other pokemons before they came.
Right before Cosmos started their assault, Ethan warned everyone about it. It was so sudden that all they could for then was tell their pokemon to hide so they don't get caught.
But that was going to backfire as well.
"Nidoking, Rhyperior, and Drednaw, use Hyper Beam around that studio," ordered the grunt. The three powerful mons took position and started to charge the beams in their mouths.
All everyone could do was watch as the beams shot towards the place where the pokemons were hiding.

"Everyone, please clear out. I repeat, clear this area immediately," an officer outside the academy was urging the civilians and reporters to evacuate the area. After knowing what was going on inside via the drones, the place became a restricted area for the public and confined to the official law reinforcements. And another reason they were clearing the area was because they got the message that about five to six jets from the Kanto main KDA branch was about to land here in half an hour. Until then, it was upto them to deal with the situation.
"You have to be kidding me!"
"Jusr how strong is that shield?!"
The officers complained who were doing their to break the shield, but kept failing miserably. Their pokemons were panting, but the best they could do was make a small gap which closed by itself again after a second.
"What are the updates?" asked Agent David to one of the technical officers.
"Not good, Sir," he said worryingly. "If this keeps up, they are going to get away with everything right before our eyes."
"Arceus DAMMIT!" he yelled in frustration.
"Sir!" the officer yelled back, getting his attention.
"What is it?" David asked.
"I spotted some sort of a figure in the sky from the drone," he said, concentrating deeply on the computer screen.
David looked a bit annoyed.
"What are you talking about? This is no time fo-"
BOOOOOOOOOOOMMMM
Before he could even finish his statement, the sound of a menacing thunderbolt pierced through the air. The drone that was near it instantly got destroyed as the aftereffects of it disabled the entire computer system. The sound was so deafening that almost every person within that range temporarily got deaf as they clutched their ears, minimising the damage. The people who were still residing within the area, immediately ran away leaving the law forces to deal with it. The reporters although stayed, but in a safe distance.
It sounded like that explosion was first outside and then died inside of the academy. After some moments, David was able to speak.
"What in the actual hell was that?!!" he exclaimed in disbelief.
"Sir, I lost the connection completely. A powerful voltage of lightning seem to have dropped nearby," the technical officer said while fixing the damaged system.
David looked onward just in time to see a brilliant blue flash dying inside the campus.
'Just what is going on in there?'
***
"Nidoking, Rhyperior, and Drednaw, use Hyper Beam around that studio," ordered the grunt. The three powerful mons took position and started to charge the beams in their mouths.
Right when they were about to launch, a deafening sound crashed down upon their heads. The brilliant flash of lightning caused everyone to shield their eyes from the flash or cover their ears from the sound.
The thunderous shockwave caught everyone off guard as some braced themselves or went alert instantly.
The moment Pikachu's Fusion Bolt made contact with the magnetic shield, the whole thing reacted tremendously against it and tried to fight back. But the amount of electricity the mouse released was too much even for the super strong force field, as it pierced through it and hit the ground right where the three pokemons were standing and preparing for their attack. The impact sent them flying away across the campus, knocking them out instantly despite two of them being resistant to electricity. The ground where the Fusion Bolt hit broke into a fissure as the grunts who were near it got knocked out as well. The criminals backed away as much as they could from the blaring explosion. Medea being the smarter one used Mismagius's Protect, but didn't intent to back away so easily. Damon took the Ursarings help, sheltering himself from whatever the world it was.
The professors and students took this chance and freed themselves from their captives. The pokemons that were hiding before came running towards their trainers as they shared a heart full moment. The others still couldn't reach out to their pokeballs and decided to let the chaos die down for the time being.
"Pi....ka," the mouse said, exhausted as it dropped itself on Ash's lap. Using that amount of power drained a lot of its energy and it needed some time to recover. The boy petted his partner and smiled.
"Awesome work Pikachu," he praised as the mouse slowly raised a thumbs. Ash looked on to see that he was able to make a huge gap, but it was already starting to close.
"I hope Mewtwo stops the source from which it's coming from," he said to himself and then looked determined. "Let's go Staraptor."
"What's *cough* going on?" asked Gary, coughing from the smoke.
"No idea," said Brock, who was trying to see through clearly.
"Are there more of them?" stated Iris her doubts.
'That lightning. If that's what I think it is, then...' Ethan trailed off in his thoughts as he slowly look up to see a figure approaching towards them on a bird like pokemon. It wasn't very clear being night time, but he instantly recognized who it was and beamed widely.
"YES!!" he screamed out of joy as the others gave him weird and confused looks.
"What are you so happy about?" asked Misty irritatedly.
"USE BRAVE BIRD."
A voice from above yelled. Everyone looked up just in time to see a person jump from the back of a bird and landing on the ground swiftly. The black predator engulfed itself with brilliant blue energy and dashed towards the nearest pokemon, which appeared to be Mismagius.
Staraptor slammed into the magical pokemon, sending it flying across as it was smashed against a wall, fainted.
Medea was stunned from the sudden attack. No one ever has dared to stand against her like that. She dug her nails in her own fists, feeling extremely mad as she took out another pokeball and glared at the 'intruder' standing in front of them.
The smoke from the lightning before was still faintly present. Ash's hoodie fell off from the stunt revealing his black messy hair as he wasn't wearing his signature cap. A yellow mouse pokemon was sitting on his shoulder. He stood bravely, finally facing the criminals that have been getting on his nerves for quite some time.
Slowly and surely, everyone comprehended the scene as almost all of them sighed in delight and relief.
"No way, ITS ASH," Max yelled happily seeing his best friend and idol.
"Oh boy, what a relief," said Gary with a sigh.
"Thank Arceus," Professor Oak muttered in content.
But the happiness didn't last long enough as all of them realised that Ash came alone and was about to face this influential criminals with their pokemons, not to mention those sick machines.
"ASH! Listen. These guys are very dangerous. Don't put yourself in danger and get out of here," Ash's oldest friend and companion Brock tried to warn him, concerned for his safety despite being in trouble himself.
"Don't be reckless right now Ash, listen," chorused Misty with Brock.
"Kick their butts Ash," supported Max only to get punched by his sister May. She along with the other girls were happy to see their boyfriend at first, but now were worried about how he was going to face off against the offenders alone.
"Ash," whispered Serena.
"Please be okay," prayed Anabel.
Dawn and May stayed silent as they just whimpered.
By now, Team Cosmos had recomposed themselves completely. They backed away from their positions with the pokemons.
Medea wanted to beat him down right here, but reluctantly had to fell back with the others. The Ursarings who were guarding Damon stepped aside as the man was utterly shocked to see the person standing before them whom he had spent one-third of his plan on. Ash noticed the dark guy and made a direct eye contact with him, sending him a wireless message as if warning to even dare to make a move.
"Impossible," Damon muttered, not believing his eyes that the Kanto Champion was here before them. He was informed that his distraction was successful and Ash went back to Kanto. But if he really did, how the hell did he manage to come here in such a short time? Even using a flying type, he couldn't have gotten here that fast.
Mysterious. In fact, it was so mysterious and peculiar that Damon somehow for some reason was very impressed, rather than worried anymore of the thought that this mission might fail miserably.
He started to clap slowly and walk forward without a fear.
'Great. Now he has gone mad,' thought Medea rolling her eyes.
Ash shoved his hands in his jacket pockets as he coldly glared at Damon, assuming him as the main punk. Pikachu already went to a battle stance, not wanting to take any kind of risk though he was still tired from the previous stunt.
"Wonderful. Its a pleasure to finally meet the Champion of Kanto," Damon said as he took a glance at Pikachu. "It must be very strong if it could break through that powerful magnetic force field we set before. And to think you are daring to face against all of us," he said.
Ash still kept silent, not dropping an eyelid as everyone listened to their conversation.
"Though I shouldn't expect anything less from an Elite Member of KDA now, should I?" Damon asked with a smirk.
This information confused everyone regarding what he just said. Some whispering could be heard among the crowd, but Ash didn't pay any heed to them. He could care less about his secret getting out.
"It would be wise of you if you surrender yourselves right now," said Ash in a calm manner.
Everyone was shocked from this statement. His friends were still pleading him to leave when he has the chance. The grunts and their pokemon smirked and made fun of him for being such an idiot. As for Damon, he frowned and went a bit alert, unsure of what was coming next.
"You really think you can take us on by yourself?" asked Medea as she had a smug look on her face. "And I thought Champions were the smarter ones, you are just witless," she said as the grunts broke into a laughter.
Ash didn't respond as he slowly raised a pokeball and returned his Staraptor.
Everyone mistook this scene as an act of yielding as the villain group started to ridicule him. His friends felt pity for him, but only Pikachu seemed to have understood what it meant as he stepped back a little. Medea noticed this.
"Even that rat of yours has given up. Someone go and pick it up," she said boringly to one of the grunts.
"Who said anything about giving up?" asked Ash in the coldest voice he could muster, making everyone present there flinch from it.
Damon wasn't liking where this was going, but his colleague was too confident. Medea clapped her hands two times signalling about something. As on cue, thirty more grunts came out from the ship in an orderly manner. Each had four to five pokeball with them as they stood in a line and released them all at once.
Several bright lights appeared on the field as every one of them materialised into a powerful appearence. There were four to five Tyranitars, similar number of Drapion, Druddigon, Darmanitan, Rhyperior, Rhydon, Nidoqueen, Pangoro, Houndoom, Bisharp, Barbaracle. Then there were half a dozen of Sandaconda, Toxicroak, Scolipede, Pyroar, Garbodor, Magmortor, Manetric, Magnezone, Poliwrath, Kingler, Ursaring, Golem, Mightyena, Weavile, Ariados, Beedrill and so on. The plethora of pokemon gave their respective battle cries in unison causing a big aftershock.
"Th-this is unbelievable," said Kiawe in disbelief.
"Just how many pokemon can one have?" asked Brock with the same expression.
"They could destroy the entire campus professor," said Sycamore worryingly to Oak, who merely nodded.
"Ash, please don't get yourself into this mess," said Goh.
"Is he even listening?!" said Iris madly.
"Even for him, that's..... " Ethan trailed off while muttering his doubts.
Seeing this entire army of pokemons, the other students backed away immediately. Some of them looked for places to hide, while most of them just stood there in shock. Damon was surprised to see that Medea wasn't willing to hold back anymore and intimidate them as much as she could.
"Now be a good boy and hand over your pokemon, if you want to see the day tomorrow," threatened Medea, smirking towards Ash, who wasn't intimidated by them at all like the others.
He reached into a pocket with his hand and took out a pokeball. He pressed the button and enlarged the device which wasn't affected by the radioactive rays from the machines just like Ethan's. As soon as he enlarged and aimed it towards the enemies, the pokeball started to glow red and shake vigorously, eager to come out whatever was inside. Ash could feel the intense heat burning from it even being outside as his hand started to get warm and sweat slightly.
This was a very tough battle for him. To say he was outmatched would be an understatement. But he had always trusted his pokemon, the same way his pokemon trusted their trainer. And this time, Ash was willing to put that trust on this particular pokemon of his, with whom he had been through thick and thin.
Seeing his gesture, Medea shook her head disappointedly.
"Bad choice boy," she said as the grunts commanded their pokemons to launch their attacks on him.
"LET'S GOOO" Ash yelled on the top of his lungs and threw the pokeball high in the black sky with all his strength.
The opposition pokemons aimed their attacks by then.
"CHARIZARD."
