[Amy's Point of View]
Sitting at the café, all alone, while Dean and Vicky went off on their so-called double date—completely forgetting about me.
You might be asking: Amy, why are you alone if it's a double date?
Well, the guy I was supposed to be paired with forgot about me. Or something. He just walked off.
It's not like I liked him or anything. I don't even remember his name. I think it was Josh? Or John? Whatever.
As I sat there brooding over my not-even-a-double-date, I nearly jumped out of my skin.
There was a black-haired girl sitting right next to me.
Who knows how long she'd been there?
I was just about to curse her out when I got a better look at her face—and I froze.
She was beautiful. Not just pretty—but hauntingly beautiful. Unnatural.
I couldn't even get a word out. And she didn't say anything either.
I don't know how long we just sat there, silent.
Eventually, I snapped out of it and asked her, "Why did you sit next to me?"
No response.
She just kept staring at me—two whole minutes of unblinking silence.
I was too nervous to say anything else. So I waited.
[Taylor's Point of View]
Nai wa... My social skills have been completely destroyed by the Trio.
I can't even talk to a girl like a normal person anymore.
Okay. Think. Count prime numbers. That'll help.
One, two, three, five, seven, eleven—
Mentally slapping myself, I snap out of it. I need to stop panicking and just say something. Anything.
Talk about the weather?
No, that's too generic. Something more interesting?
Wait—I'm running out of time. I just need to say what's on my mind.
Anything. Maybe something about her appearance?
Okay. I've got it. I know what to say.
[Amy's Point of View]
Then suddenly, in a very quiet voice—so quiet I almost missed it—the beautiful girl said:
"…It's because of a beautiful girl."
Wait. Did I just hear that right?
Is a girl actually flirting with me?
My brain short-circuited. Does she want something from me?
I narrowed my eyes and asked her, "Do you want something from me?"
What if she's lying? I need to make sure.
I reached out and touched her hand in an inconspicuous place. The moment I did—
[Queen Shaper's Point of View]
I received a ping from Administrator, instructing me to fabricate a false body scan report for her host.
She said it was part of the power set she granted her.
I complied immediately and generated the false data.
[Taylor's Point of View]
The girl looked at me with an intense stare and asked, "Do you want something from me?"
Nai wa... Why did I say that dumb line?!
Now she's suspicious!
What do I do?
Should I just say "no"?
No—she wouldn't believe that.
Umm… umm…
She started glaring.
Panicking, I blurted out a random collection of words:
"I want to date a beautiful girl like you."
…
Nai wa, WHY did I say THAT?!
Now she's gonna walk away from the weirdo who confessed out of nowhere.
Who does that?! Who asks someone out immediately after meeting them? Couldn't be me. Nope. Definitely not.
Okay, maybe it was me.
Now I'm just coping.
I totally messed this up.
Hopefully, she'll think I'm joking. Maybe she'll just laugh it off?
I'm clinging to any hope at this point.
[Amy's Point of View]
"I want to date a beautiful girl like you."
My thoughts stopped dead in their tracks.
Any expression on my face vanished faster than I could blink.
No way, I thought in total disbelief. She's actually…
I don't even know if it was shock or sheer disbelief that shut off the filter between my brain and my mouth,
but before I could think better of it, I blurted out:
"…Yess."
