Chapter 11 - chapter 10 a flashback to a white time and where is the glory?

[Victoria's Point of View]

After I left Amy with her date, Dean and I were on our way to the theater to watch that new movie and have some fun. Once we got to the theater and bought enough popcorn, we headed in to watch the film, making sure to mute my phone so we wouldn't be interrupted.

I'm sure nothing bad will happen to Amy while I'm gone.

[Taylor's Point of View]

While hiding behind the counter with Amy to avoid the Merchants, my mind wandered. I kept thinking about that white-haired girl — how she appeared in real life.

Is she real?

Could she be a figment of my imagination, or am I an Oracle who sees the future in strange visions?

Nah… there has to be a better explanation.

I sighed and spoke to my administrator, Hey, Administrator, do you know anything about this?

[Administrator's Response]

Affirmative.

Wait, do you actually know? How did this happen? How did she become real?

[Administrator's Response]

Negation.

Oh… so it's not the white-haired girl from my dream. If it's not her, then who is it?

[Administrator's Response]

Elaboration.

So, you gave her a new body?

Why would you give her a body?

[Administrator's Response]

Explanation.

You're telling me you gave her a body without telling me? And you didn't mention it to me because she asked you?

Before I could rage at my servant, I suppressed my anger and connected with my other self, hoping for some answers.

She didn't respond, but instead, she sent me a memory of what happened.

[Flashback]

I realized that Queen Administrator was changing her form, so I asked for my squishy form to be changed into something more human and durable.

And the first thing that came to mind was Shiraori from my dreams — the perfect body.

Of course, I had to pay with MA energy for the change. I lost a bit of MA energy, but it was fine.

Changing forms felt strange, and it was even stranger to have human legs. I mean, eight legs are so much better for balance.

After I got my new form from Queen Administrator, I checked myself out.

I had to admit, I looked beautiful. I liked this body. Then I asked for some clothes so I wouldn't be an exhibitionist.

I started wandering around, looking for food or something to entertain myself.

As I walked, I noticed people staring at me. Maybe it was because of my beauty?

Either way, I didn't care. It made me uncomfortable, so I used Shiraori's solution — I made everyone forget about me except for the color white through my MA energy field.

I put up the perception field, and after a while, people stopped staring at me, which made me feel a little better. Still, I was bored.

I decided to fly around — well, not exactly fly. I condensed the air under my feet into a platform.

I made sure no one could see me by using my perception field, because I didn't want anyone taking pictures and posting them online.

After a while, I found something interesting: the Merchants. They were high as kites, causing a mess on the boardwalk.

At first, I thought about just killing them all, but then I got a better idea.

Instead of killing them, I should make them my slaves... I mean, my workers.

How would I do that?

I could just implant a spider in their brains, like Shiraori did in the past. But creating life costs too much MA energy, and I didn't have enough to waste on something like that.

I thought about it some more and realized I could manipulate their brains with MA energy, but I wasn't good enough at that. I didn't have the precision to do it like Shiraori.

But then I came up with the perfect plan: beat them up until they submit to me.

I know, I'm a genius. You can stop praising me now.

How would I do it? Simple. I would project the concept of pain into their minds, just like I did with my perception field. This time, however, the pain would be real for them.

I appeared in front of the Merchants. They questioned me, but I didn't pay attention to their babbling.

When they tried to attack me, I hit them with all the pain I could imagine. It immediately paralyzed them for a while.

I took advantage of the opportunity to shout my demands.

It didn't work right away, but after a few repetitions, they started to fall in line.

[End of Flashback]

[Taylor's Point of View]

I stopped the memory from flooding my mind. I already figured out what likely happened next.

After subjugating the Merchants, she probably got hungry and decided to have them raid the boardwalk.

I wasn't thrilled about it, but before I could shout at my other self, she cut off our connection — just enough so I couldn't yell at her.

I could easily reconnect, but I was too lazy, and honestly, I had bigger problems right now.

I quickly focused on setting up a perception filter around me and Amy using my MA energy field so we wouldn't be found by the Merchants.

Just as I finished, I remembered that I was still entangling my energy with Amy's soul to change her species. It seemed to be speeding up and causing some unknown mutations throughout her body.

I had a feeling these changes would affect her mind first.

And judging by her current reaction, it would probably lead to violence.

Oops.
