"Edward, please don't leave me" a woman held to the man's arms. He was quite tall for her. He has golden hair and a blue sea eyes. He stood with grace as the woman kept pulling him to her. He did not push nor tried to shake her off.
"We are happy right?" she gasped as she rocked her head why this man suddenly said he wanted to break up with her. "Everything we have is real" she added as she could not contain her desperation. She broke down in tears. The man felt pain as she continued to beg him. But he shook that feeling and continued to be cold toward her.
"I must do this, Kelly" he said and slowly pushed down her away from him. He looked at her with determined eyes. "I can no longer pretend that I am not confuse to what I am feeling for you" he said and walked away.
He entered to his car quietly. The driver looked at him through the rear mirror before saying, "Sir, where to?"
"To her" he said and car went on.
"David, you promise you will be here" Samantha was on the phone with David, her fiance. She was waiting patiently in a cafe. It was very famous cafe house in the area with a classic motif. There were no WiFi or any internet connection, but books were at the corner of the room and mellow music soothe the place. "I'm very sorry, the boss will not let me go" Sam sighed and said, "Alright" she ended the conversation without hearing the other end. She was devastated to the outcome of the day. She was really looking forward for the day they could spend a little time together. But all in vain, she was alone in this wonderful cafe. She did not want to waste it, she decided to grab a coffee and stay for a while before going back to the office.
"Can I join you?" a tall man asked. the place was really full that she was not surprise for someone wanted to share a table. She smiled and agreed. The man sat across her with smile as if he was overjoy to have someone beside her. "Want me to order your coffee together with mine?" he offered,
"I could not impose on you" she tried to decline the offer, "But its at least I can do for sharing a table. Its really pack today" he said. Sam knew that it would be impolite to not accept his offer, "Very well, cold white chocolate mocha if you please and here is my payment" she said. Immediately, the man went to the counter and ordered.
"I can't help notice earlier you were looking outside, are you expecting someone over?" the man asked they drank their coffee. Sam smiled trying to hide the awkward question.
"My fiance," she answered honestly, "He cancelled on me for like in a last minute" she pouted that made the man laughed at her. He saw how cute she was making herself pout. "Oh sorry, we have a same predicament. Though, it was not my fiance cancelled on me, it was my business partner" he said
"Oh businessman, what business do you do?" Sam started the conversation.
For the brief moment in thinking to have a coffee, it turned out their talk run to hours without noticing the time.
"Thank you so much David for helping me" a young woman said as she was walking beside David. He was holding a bunch of boxes with papers. It was all the old reports that needs to be review for basis for the new project. David got held up with the boss with the report and in the end of the day, he noticed Shara moving a large boxes. He offered her to help.
"Oh its nothing Shara" he said casually. He did not noticed that the young woman was looking at him secretly. She had a long crush with David since she entered the company. She was glad that she did have an overtime with the boss so she could spend time with him. "You can place down these boxes on the floor beside my table, I can look it up tomorrow. Its getting late" she said as she looked at her watch. David did what she asked and was about to leave when, Shara pulled him close to her.
"David, why not we have some drinks" she asked taking risk to be rejected. "I ..." he was about to answer, "I want to thank you for today's help" she immediately said before receiving the rejecting words. This made David change his mind and agreed to have a drink with her.
Shara and David were drinking fast. David could not remember how many glasses they had already. Bottles were pilling fast and he could feel himself drunk. It was a first for him to really enjoy someone's accompany especially in drinks. Shara on the other hand was taking the chance of David's clouded judgement. Her hands were all over him. She pushed her body towards him but not as close as if trying to be discreet. She saw David shugged down another glass, and decided to go forth. She stood and felt herself dizzy. She stumbled forward and David managed to catch her. Everything stopped. David looked at her, and she did the same. She kept staring at his lips that she longed for. Eventually, she lounged forward and kissed him. David was taken aback, but he was lost with the sweet taste that was in front of him. He could not stop himself and they both smoldered each other.
