David was frantic searching for Samantha. He tried to wait all day in front of her house, but somehow she did not come home. He called her nonstop that it always end up with the operator saying the phone was out of coverage. He contacted Jacob and he was hoping to ask Samantha's whereabouts but he did not get any information from Jacob. In fact, he got punches from him knowing what had happen between Shara and him.
David could remember the furious face he encountered at that day. Jacob, the soft kid he knew, became a beast when angry. David knew that Jacob was not waiting for an explanation on what had happen. He emphasized to David how David hurt his mother and that caused his anger flair up without limit. David had let Jacob punch him nonstop as he was aware how messed up he did between him and Samantha. He could understand Jacob's feeling of betrayal and anger. He might do the same to himself if no one did punch him.
David was lying down to the floor with a mushed face. He could feel the pain all over his face and abdomen. He was uncertain if he was bleeding because he did not see his face yet. He tried to move but his muscle restrained him because of the pain radiates as he moved. He had laid on the floor waiting. He waited and hoped that somehow Samantha would come to his house. He was hoping that he would see her and would be worry for his welfare like those previous years together. He closed his as he reminisced at the time he firstly met Samantha. He was all messed up with life that he kept going fighting everyone who made a contact with his eyes. He thought that he was strong but he was not. Samantha was going home at that time and could not leave him alone injured. She called the ambulance and was the one taking care of him. Eventually, his life turn 180 degrees. He changed his ways and somehow made a new leaf. He wanted to prove to Samantha that he could be better and be a worthy partner. Its not because he can live without her. Its because of her that he could live again. And if she disappeared from his life, he did not know what to do anymore. Time passed by fast and without notice it was already night. Samantha did not come and his heart crashed as he continued to weep silently in his own abode.
One month had passed, Shara kept loosing appetite and at times she would vomit without cause. She never had a regular period, but she knew something change within her. She had to confirm and the result was clear as day. She was shivering in fear as she held a rectangular shape with two lines in the middle of it. It was a pregnancy kit. Her face ashen as her mind was in wrecked as she kept looking at the kit. She could not stop herself crying as her mind was confuse. She wanted that night to happen but when she could remember the desperation of David as he ran out of the room at that day. She was not chosen. She was not loved, but she loved him so much that she put herself in shame. She did not mind being called a slut. She did not mind being a bitch as long she could have him. But reality was harsher. Especially she was uncertain who could be the father of the child growing inside her womb. She would be delighted if it was David's and she hoped so much for it. If this was his child, he might changed his mind as she pondered. He might give her chance to love him and she would hope for him to love her back as well. However if it was not David's, it could be that man who came knocking to her door in middle of the night. She froze as she could remember how he pushed himself to get inside and held her hands up to her head to stop her from struggling. The man was furious and she did not know why. She could remember her struggle to fight back but she was weak. He devoured her without showing mercy as if punishing her. She blacked out and was uncertain how many times he violated her.
She did try to make a report but the police thought that she was making it all up especially I still have traces of love from David's. She tried to stand on her statement but they pointed out that she was a loose woman who had a two lovers and they dismissed her without any report.
Shara tried to approach David but somehow he was no where to be found especially after that day. There were rumors going around that David was trying to resign, but the head of the team decided to gave him time to rest. Shara went to his house but she did not see him. She was lost to what she should do. She felt that could not handle this alone and she wanted David's support. However, David was not around. Her desired for David to hold her tight and to tell her a simple word of assurance could give her peace.
Samantha wanted to be alone and she did disconnect herself away from people she cared. As she wondered how come she was not as angry as before, she searched for an answer to what she was feeling. She kept comparing the feelings before; She even ran away 15 years ago when she was deeply hurt during their relationship with Charles, but with David's betrayal, she was indeed hurt. However she somehow felt relieve on the same time.
She wondered if she got strong or she was not as attached as before. However, maybe she sympathize with the girl. She did saw the desperation of the girl's eyes. She was in the same position as her. She wanted love, but what she did was not acceptable at all.
