In the middle of the night, the office was quite. Everyone was out, but only one office was lit. It was Jacob's office was still bright, but it was only the paper rustling can be heard and the pen's scribbling. Jacob was reviewing the reports given to him for the day, and he was not jubilant about it. He hates it, but he must do it. The company that her mother put out since he could remember was not in his hand. He did not want her mother to be disappointment to him. However, he is not as concentrated as the previous days. Her mother was the same as the time she was separated from his father. He was young, but the memories were vivid as yesterday. He did not want it to happen. The cold cries every night, and the hallow smile on the day was apparent in those days. His emotions were scattered and he even made a move to prove his point on those people who destroy his solace. He taught he could finally see her mother smiling forever, but those people doesn't stop it and make her at peace.
Jacob stopped his work in the middle the night. He planned to go home, but he was certain that her mother would not be happy for him to travel in dark. He decided to stay and message his secretary to bring him his clean clothes from his house.
Samantha was lying on bed when she woke up in the dark room. Her body was sore and she was naked under the sheets. She felt heavy on her lower abdomen as if someone was grabbing on it as if his life was hanging on it. She moved slowly as she did not want to wake the beast on her bed. She could not believe it that she was sway. She hated herself, and more resentful of her heart. She could not do this anymore. She had to get away. The drama that she had before was enough. She did not want again to witness a young lady knocking on her door and tell her that she was pregnant of the man that she trusted. She could remember the sight of that girl smirking at her as if telling her, she was victorious and she, the wife, loss.
She went downstairs fully clothe and was trying to find some food for her. She heard someone at the door. She was hesitant to answer. it was 12 midnight, and she was certain Jacob was staying at the office again. She looked at peek hole and saw Charles. Her heart was distraught.
"Charles?" she gasped.
"Can I come in?" he said but deep within Samantha, she did not want him to set foot in her house. However, she was trying to be civil towards him. She did not say anything, but he pushed her away as he entered without waiting for her to reply to his inquiry. She was upset but in the end, she let him enter without saying anything.
She saw him looking around as if looking for someone, but she knew that it was not wise to let him and David encounter this night. However, she was not certain if she could stop the two from fighting. Charles suddenly froze as he looked at her as if he saw something that he shouldn't. Eventually, Samantha sensed his anger. She could not stop herself from stepping away from him, but he was quick. He cornered her. He did not say anything.
"Why are you here?" she asked politely
"Please come with me" he said as he slowly reached her out. His hand caressed her face showing his hurt as he could imagine her embracing other man.
"What do you mean?" Samantha looked at him confuse. He pulled her to him and hugged her as if telling her that he would not let her go despite hating him. Samantha felt something was off. She tried to push him away from her. Before she could step away, he smashed his lips to hers. He was ravishing her lips as he poured his all his longing.
Samantha was surprised. She pushed him with great force. "Are you crazy?" she was angry. Her eyes showed her despise towards him.
Charles went back at her and kissed her again. Samantha struggled, but he kept pushing her. He cornered her as he continued to kiss her. He continued to push her as his desire arose. He could not stop himself caressing her as he devoured her. Samantha whimpered as she slowly accepted his attack. Her hands were still trying to push but he did not budge. She could feel that he became more aggressive as she continued to try to put a distance between them. "I miss you so much" he whispered to her ears that sent an electric shock throughout her body. "I will never let you go" he said as he struggled to control eat her on the spot.
"Stop it Charles!" she gathered all her strength to push him though it was not enough to push him far. Her hair was disheveled. Charles suit was unbuttoned from the top. He looked at her poised despite he was trying to catch his breath. "I know I still have space inside your heart" he started as he stared at her eyes. He reached out to her hand, "I know I did shit that is far forgivable, and I know it's difficult to face me, but I can take it all. I believe I can" he added. He kissed her hand without looking away. Samantha froze. Her thoughts were running as she did not want anything from this man anymore. Before she could act, she heard him say, "Wife, its time". Her sight was darkened, and she no longer remember what happened.
Samantha was carried in the middle of the night away from her house without anyone knowing. Charles made sure she was laid down to the car seat and buckled up before he went to the driver side. He stepped on the gas and his black car rode away.
