While Kayenne handed me the ring, Lainkel was squirming in Haven's arms.
"Mommy!"
"I got it, you little rascal. Let's go to your mother."
Haven approached, holding Lainkel, who was clutching his father’s collar with one hand and reaching for me with the other.
Smiling at my second son, I quickly started gathering the scattered jewelry back into the box since I was worried that he might get hurt crawling around.
Without looking, I might have grabbed a brooch pin.
"Ouch."
As I looked down at the sharp pain, a drop of blood fell from my fingertip.
"Raviel!"
"Mother!"
"Mommy!!"
The three people who loved me most in the world shouted simultaneously, and Verdi and the maids also rushed over in alarm.
"Your Majesty! Are you alright?"
"Call the royal doctor, now! Her Majesty is bleeding!"
"Yes, Your Majesty. Merilda, fetch the royal doctor immediately!"
