High up in the shadows of the warehouse rafters, Sabrina and Miller held their breath as Louis's men finished dragging the unconscious Fixer out the front doors.
The search team scattered through the crate, looking for them but found nothing. "Clear!" one of them called out to the lead man.
Suddenly, another man stopped in his tracks as his gaze shifted to the ceiling. He noticed the bulging part where Sabrina and Miller were hidden. He took a step forward, picking a stick and was about to poke when he heard his superior's voice.
"Let's go!" the lead man commanded.
And just like that, they all hurried out.
Once the sound of the roaring SUV engines faded into the distance, Sabrina and Miller quietly slid down the steel beams, slipped out through the broken back window, and climbed into their van. They sped away with Fixer's recorded video confession safely secured in their hands.
