Inside the dark concrete desert bunker, Miller's phone chirped. A private text from Alex flashed on the screen, reading:
My father just got confirmation on the Fixer's whereabouts. His men are headed there now. They are thirty minutes away from the downtown wharf safehouse. Get to the Fixer first and activate step 2.
Miller leaned forward, his crooked jaw tightening as he read the text alert. He looked up at the others. "They found the Fixer. We need to hurry if we are going to get there before Louis's men."
Sabrina West didn't waste a breath. She grabbed her tactical jacket and racked the slide of her federal sidearm with a sharp, metallic click. "Let's go!"
Lawson pulled his heavy coat off the rack. "I'm coming too."
Sabrina halted her steps suddenly, turning around to face him. "No!" It sounded more like a strict command than a suggestion.
Lawson's eyes darkened, his face tight with anger. He wasn't happy about being left behind after waiting seven long months for revenge.
