Side Story Chapter 16. The Dangerous Grand Duke and Duchess of the South (#16)
“Let’s go!”
A mix of red light and golden hair fluttered down and a loud thud rang out after Cheryl landed lightly on the floor. The loud sound seemed to cause the ground to vibrate.
“Okay, I got the bear.”
The source of the sound was a giant monster of a black bear. The animal, which looked almost too ferocious to be called a bear, was sadly dead with its tongue sticking out.
A nearby village had been living in fear of the notorious man-eater, but Cheryl put an end to that in one go with her magic flames.
Ethan frowned slightly as he examined the creature.
“The skin’s burnt.”
Cheryl and Hirkan groaned as they lifted the bear from either side.
“We don’t need that anyway.”
“Yeah, we need what’s inside.”
Ethan shrugged his shoulders at the pair’s grumbles and took out the paper he had in his pocket to re-check the list he had written down in advance.
