Hirkan was frozen rigidly to the spot for quite some time.
Startled, he had initially gone to run away, then urgently made his way back. He picked up the pastries he had dropped and darted off again.
The moment he arrived back at the accommodation, he threw the door open.
“Cheryl! Ethaaaaaan!”
The two came running out in shock as Hirkan cried out for them like there was an emergency.
“Hirkan, what’s going on?! Did someone hurt you?
“What happened?”
Hirkan knew that Ethan was preparing dinner because he was still wearing his apron. A drop of tomato stew fell from the ladle he was holding.
“Aerta…” He rubbed his lips together.
As soon as he said her name, the twin’s eyes seemed to widen, and the pair of them strode toward Hirkan.
“Aerta’s pregnant…!” He said to them in a vacant voice as they mirrored each other’s stances.
