Inside the main building of the Worsis Manor, Earl Worsis was listening to his servant Ares recount the situation in the valley.
But the more he listened, the more his smile grew, and he even stood up excitedly.
The despicable barbarians finally couldn't resist and sneaked off to mine. Now they'll taste what it's like to be robbed.
Count Worthy has been getting impatient these days. The barbarians have been slow to make a move, which has made him somewhat suspicious of his servant Arthas's methods.
He assumed the barbarians would continue as before, waiting for him to go mining before robbing him.
Heh, the barbarians finally couldn't resist the lure of silver ore and started digging for it themselves. Now it's Count Worthy's time to reap the rewards.
Count Vorsis glanced at Ares, and this time he was very pleased with the servant's performance.
"Ares, you did a very good job this time. Now go and prepare the wagons and horses to transport the ore back."
Ares's head trembled slightly, perhaps from intense excitement.
Count Worthy, on the other hand, was going to go in person this time. He wanted to recover all the losses from the previous two times and capture all those despicable barbarians to sell into slavery.
After quick preparations, Count Worthy's vanguard of warriors had already set off. He needed to get to the valley as soon as possible, fearing that the barbarians would finish mining and run away if he was too late.
After a swift journey, Count Worthy's party arrived at the valley in just over half the usual time.
"Damn barbarians, they can run so fast!" Count Worsis rode his horse and kicked aside the branches surrounding the valley entrance; clearly, the barbarians had left.
Count Worthy was furious. Why did the barbarians leave so quickly? Did they know he was coming?
Count Worthy dismounted and entered the most luxurious workshop.
The black stone left behind by the barbarian Stubborn still lay quietly on the table.
Count Vouches slammed his fist on the table, causing the black stone on it to bounce a few times.
The soldiers following him were also startled.
Count Vouchis didn't seem to feel any pain in his hand, and picked up the black stone to throw it away.
But just as he was about to throw it, he caught a glimpse of what appeared to be piles of ore near the edge of a distant mine.
He quickly put down the black stone in his hand and walked towards the mine.
"Haha, those despicable barbarians don't seem so despicable anymore."
Upon closer inspection, several piles of ore of varying sizes were placed in an inconspicuous corner next to the mine.
Count Worsis was overjoyed. This was practically free mining for him. Before, he had to provide food and manpower when mining. Now, he could get so much ore without doing anything. This was fantastic!
Robbery carries risks, but this carries absolutely none. Count Worthy was already in a state of ecstasy.
"Haha, search around some more and see if there's anything else," Count Worsis ordered the warriors with a broad smile.
Soon the sounds from all over the valley reached Earl Worthy's ears, and the smile on his face never faded.
"My lord, there is still ore in the mine."
"Your Excellency, there are many iron mining tools in that room."
"My lord, there is a room with many barbarian weapons and some strange things."
Count Vouches laughed three times.
"Hahaha, pack everything up and take it all with you. Take everything except these houses."
Count Worthy thought he had gotten a great deal, but what he didn't know was that apart from the wreckage of those barbarians, everything else originally belonged to him.
