The ambulance arrived, and George's heart broke for his best friend, seeing as his daughter was almost unrecognizable. He might not have been at the accident's scene, but from the look of things, it was truly fatal. They strolled Ellen to the OR as Aaron arrived as well, strapping in for surgery after organizing his thoughts. He needed a clear mind if he was to save his daughter. Isabella had come out to inquire about what was going on from her husband, but he was nowhere to be found. She knew it was an emergency from how he behaved, and left. The surgery ended after two and a half hours, but Ellen was yet to wake up. Chris sat by her, not moving an inch from her side. She was supposed to be going back to school tomorrow, and her friends missed her dearly. Abby and Kelly had gone to her house to see her, but Ellen did not see them. She just didn't want to talk to anyone from her school, not even her best friends. The girls were utterly disappointed and barged into her room. "Elle, you can't avoid us forever, you know? We're still your friends!" Kelly fumed. "Elle, how are you doing? We just came back from school." Abby chimed in, sitting by her. This was last year, before they left for America. Ellen had not even looked at them as she stared into nothingness. "Eleanora Wilson, we're talking to you, damn it!" Kelly said, but got no response. "Girls, you are going to have to excuse her, she's not in the right mental frame now, as you can see. When she gets better, I'll make sure to let you know." Aaron came to his daughter's defense before she lost her only friends. "Will she ever recover, uncle?" Abby asked with concern. "I think you two are the best people to answer that, since you had front row tickets to their rom-com. Do you think my daughter will ever recover from her relationship with that scum?" Aaron threw the question back to them with a narrowed gaze. "Um, they were pretty close. But I believe she can pull through; we just need to help her." Kelly answered, looking at her friend, who had still not budged. "I see. I'm taking her and her mom on a vacation; we're hoping her being away from here will do the trick." Aaron said calmly. "As long as it's not Paris, that should work," Kelly muttered under her breath, Abby thinking the same, but Aaron heard it. "You know, I look at all three of you, and I can't believe you would lie to us like this. Just look at where it got you. My daughter is the one paying the most price! I'm highly disillusioned that you girls are smart enough to take care of yourselves. You all have such bright futures, yet the brightest amongst you is now…oh my God." Aaron aired his discontentment. "We're sorry, Uncle." They apologized, head bowed, simultaneously. "We miss you, Elle, and hope you get better soon. And we're sorry we didn't push you further away from him. All this would have been prevented." Abby said, side hugging Ellen, and Kelly hugged her other side before they left. The sudden burst of the door brought him out of his stupor. "My love…" "What happened to my daughter, Aaron?" Elena asked, startling him. She had a horrid look on her face as her eyes fell on the figure on the bed, her hand going to her lips to stifle a cry. Isabella is doing the same. George had explained what happened after the surgery, when he went to meet his wife, still in his office. Isabella called Elena immediately, the latter forgetting her anger and disappointment as fear gripped her for her daughter's life. Their driver had to bring her, else there'd be another accident with how disoriented she was. "She was involved in an accident. She's in a coma now…Elena!" Aaron began, but his wife passed out on hearing the coma.
