John fell into thought.
It seems all the secrets will be revealed only after I become a Supreme Venerable. With the Ultimate Supreme Venerable template, reaching that rank won't be difficult, even if I never enter the Chaotic Void.
But why prevent me from going there?
My former self seems to have anticipated all of this. Perhaps he foresaw the future and discovered the horrors awaiting us in the Chaotic Void. That would explain why he set the Holy Grail's timer—to keep me from entering that place.
John drew a deep breath.
Just then, Holly let out a startled cry.
John and the others immediately turned toward her.
Tears welled in Holly's eyes. She bit her lip, struggling to hold back her sobs.
"What's wrong?" John asked.
"My master, Soren..." she choked out. "He was my older brother."
John was baffled.
"What does your quest scroll say? Why would it contain traces of your family?"
Holly spoke through her tears.
