Just then, a hearty laugh suddenly rang out.
"Good wine! Truly good wine! As expected of something personally brewed by the Guild Leader."
"This fruit wine is absolutely top-tier. I wouldn't even mind drinking myself to death today."
A young man in a suit spoke with his eyes closed, a smile resting on his face.
John walked over and studied him for a moment before saying,
"You're one of the strangest people I've ever met. Everyone else comes begging me to heal them, yet you're the only one who cares more about my wine."
"And what's even stranger is that you're clearly blind, yet you're always smiling so brightly."
The young man merely smiled.
If anything, his smile grew even warmer, as radiant as the morning sun.
Slowly, he opened his eyes.
His pupils were gray-white and completely lifeless.
There was no doubt about it.
He was indeed blind.
Yet the smile on his face only deepened.
"Who decided that a blind man isn't allowed to be happy?"
