Mikey finally took his attention away from Emily who had been flung through two buildings and supposedly crushed by two more. Now, he observed the unit that turned their backs on him during the time of war.
"I guess war really does change people."
Mikey's voice was laced with suppressed anger and sadness, though his facial expression remained cold and the glint of hatred within his eyes became visible.
Keith was the first to act on the execution order given to them by Emily and appeared in front of Mikey, attempting a swift but lethal knee strike toward Mikey's abdomen.
unfortunately for Keith, Mikey had already sensed the momentum through the vector spatial field and acted during the interval of Keith's appearance.
The knee strike was avoided by Mikey who had side stepped and now Mikey's open palm was pointing toward Keith's exposed shoulder.
In a second flat, Keith no longer had a left shoulder. It was as if the shoulder never had existed in the first place, not a single trace was left behind.
This made Keith freeze in shock, finally taking notice of his missing limb yet he did not feel pain. Just the breeze of the wind that blew across the empty socket.
"I thought we could've been friends. I guess you're just like them."
Those were the last words that played through Keith's head before his body was physically eradicated by the sudden absence of matter, energy, and vibrations around the entire space his body occupied.
A complete vacuum.
"Now...who's next?"
"KEITH NO! HOW COULD YOU!"
Mikey subtly turned his head to the side, his eyes gazing on Minami as she rushed forward in desperation, tears streaming down her face.
Suddenly, an amethyst-colored energy had burst forth from Minami's body, and in a misty blur, she appeared behind Mikey.
"I'LL KILL YOU!'
The amethyst energy that surged from her body had flared even higher in response to her seething rage. Her fist had blurred through the air, coming close to contact with Mikey's lower spine in an attempt to impair his ability to walk.
Yet it seemed Minami was not fast enough.
The entire arm that was aimed toward Mikey's back had been deleted in a mere instant, forcing Minami to halt in her assault, confusion evident on her face.
This had given Mikey enough time to turn around and stare blankly into Minami's wide eyes. The passion of trust that once lit Mikey eyes were diminished, and a cold void from betrayal had replaced it.
"Congratulations. You can meet your soulmate in another life"
Mikey stepped closer to Minami who had been paralyzed with fear.
Then he lifted his hand up to her face, a sadistic glint flashing across his eyes before he snapped his finger.
In that moment, Minami's body had been eradicated down to the atomic level, leaving not a trace of her physical existence behind.
Rs=2GM/c
This equation flashed through Mikey's mind, which immediately made him stop everything he was doing or preparing to do.
"No way...I was the one to cause it to happen."
The ball of immense plasma that had been positioned in the sky to give heat and light to the planet had dimmed considerably.
The sky darkened and night had suddenly befallen the planet, forcing everyone to advert their attention to the cosmic phenomenon that was occurring.
"I... failed."
The clear night sky had been replaced with a spherical void adorned with radiation spinning around it, as if it were being sucked into it.
.
Mikey rubbed his eyes and blinked a few times to regather his bearing, realizing he was no longer watching the end of the world. Instead, he found himself staring at the remaining enemy forces that approached after being met with an explosion caused by Keith.
"Huh? what the hell just happened?"
Mikey glanced around in utter confusion, trying to understand how and when he had come back to this event.
'This one felt too real. I know for sure I experienced it.'
Mikey pondered on the possibility of being sent back through time but immediately dismissed the idea as another prophetic dream.
Then he took a quick glance at Minami and Emily before bringing his attention back to the approaching soldiers.
Unbeknownst to Mikey, Emily had been staring intently at him the entire time. It was as if she knew something everyone else didn't. A possible future to come.
.
"They always say, if you want something done right, then do you it yourself."
Yuriko had been observing the battle from the spacecraft that hovered in the air, and it was clearly evident on her face that she was frustrated at the outcome of the fight.
The servants who were currently cleaning, had briefly stopped upon hearing the words their master have uttered.
.
"She's here..."
As those two words left Minami's mouth, a suffocating pressure swept across the abandoned city that had been turned into a battleground.
"It's unbelievably powerful"
Mikey had glanced toward Minami then toward Emily, who had nodded in confirmation to what he was supposedly thinking.
A bead of sweat dropped down everyone's forehead, watching as the remaining soldiers halted their advance. Then they separated from each other to open a walkway for someone.
"I will give you all a chance to kneel before me. I am the great calamity, a conqueror of worlds. I am... the demon queen Yuriko."
"Let's just get this over with."
The interruption made by Mikey had flared Yukiro's frustration, causing the pressure to increase and nearly collapse the nearby buildings.
Mikey, Emily, and Keith were apparently unaffected by the pressure, and simply stared at the demon queen as if she had grown a second head.
"YOU INSOLENT WORMS!"
Her fury was evident and with a single step, she had vanished from physical view, only to reappear in front of Emily at an almost instantaneous speed.
Yukiro struck Emily with a simple backhand, but the strength that settled behind the strike was overwhelmingly powerful and thus, Emily had been flung through a multitude of buildings.
"Damn."
Mikey stared on with subtle wide eyes from the dominating strength Yukiro had displayed. Despite the slight discouragement he felt, Mikey had begun to make his move.
The arrows that were his pupils had now pointed to the right, then in mere moments, Yukiro had been forcibly flung away by an unseen force.
Her body rapidly slammed through a series of buildings at an unparalleled magnitude. Yet as she slowed to a halt and regained her sense of balance, her body remained unharmed, not even a scratch had been made.
"My turn"
With a casual swipe of her right hand, everything from where she stood all the way to where Mikey and the attack unit were, had been swept away by an overwhelmingly immense pressure. This left a wide space open for Mikey and the others to clearly see Yuriko.
"To think there would be a day I would have to fight against a demon goddess. My life is becoming tiresome. Everyone, me and Emily will keep her distracted. Keith and Minami, you two will find openings to attack from long-range. Akari, Uriel, and Kash will be the next runner ups after us. Then we will switch accordingly."
Everyone nodded in confirmation to the brief plan that had been strung together on the fly by Mikey, who was glad they were being cooperative.
"Let's do this"
.
Yuriko observed with a calm, unnerving expression. Her crimson eyes were void of unnecessary emotions, only the thought of victory filled her mind.
Then she had suddenly glanced to the right as if sensing something. Her instinct had been on point, as Emily appeared on her right side. Though just as she appeared, Mikey had also appeared on her left side.
"Oh, I see now."
The indifference in her tone had made it clear that this did not crack her composure.
Yuriko leapt backward to avoid any incoming strikes, but it was as if they had anticipated her next move. Mikey had been the first to rapidly close the distance, reaching out in an attempt to grab onto Yuriko's shoulder.
Unfortunately, Yukiro had been faster and caught Mikey's arm. Then with relative ease, she flipped Mikey over herself as a way to toss him aside. Though what she didn't expect, was for Mikey to latch onto her arm with his other hand.
In an instant, Yukiro had been met with an unseen force attempting to push her further down to the planet's core, yet she remained upright against the immense gravitational force. This had left Yukiro momentarily immobilized, allowing for Mikey to finally release his grip on Yukiro's arm.
That's when Emily blurred forward, her body crouched low to strengthen and stabilize her center of gravity.
Suddenly, a flare of amethyst ethereal energy came forth from her right hand as she reeled her arm backward to charge up a straight punch.
Then like a rubberband snapping from applied tension, her fist shot forward and struck Yuriko in the chest. The sheer strength that had been exuded from the impact had caused a shockwave to ripple across the abandoned city.
Dust and chunks of the solid ground had been uplifted and quickly blown away. Then Yukiro followed suite with a sickening crunch that echoed through the battlefield, silencing everyone that heard it and making most of them wince in phantom pain.
"Now!"
Keith grinned at the chance to finally show his true power, and without a moment of hesitation, Keith extended both hands outward with a strained expression.
Δt' = Δt / √(1 - v²/c²)
An equation flashed through Mikey's mind the moment he glanced toward Keith, then on cue, Yukiro's velocity had begun to slow down at an unnaturally fast rate.
This was time dilation.
"Uriel Now!"
The enforcer in question had finally opened his eyes for the first time since the war had been issued. What everyone was met with, were a pair of emerald eyes that shone with an ultra-realistic texture.
Then with a snap of a finger, Yukiro had been flattened into a second dimensional entity. Her body had been encased inside a spatial glass of sort that resembled her dimensional position.
"Minami!"
Next came a piercing beam of ethereal black and orange energy, shattering the spatial glass upon contact and releasing an explosion that could be equivalent to three kilotons of TNT.
"We did it-"
