Seeing Hannah's reaction after I told her about the private jet made me smirk. I could tell she had been nervous I had made up an elaborate ruse to trick everyone.
But that wasn't my style. I liked to joke, but when it came to family and friends, I didn't mind splurging.
We nestled together in bed, and I held Hannah's hand, thinking about the trip. I knew how important having everyone around was to Hannah. Business was going well, despite my other distractions, and it was a good time to take a trip.
Even though I had contemplated whisking Hannah away on our own, we had a lifetime for that. Family was important, and I wanted to prove that I believed it. Even with all the others around, we'd have plenty of time to be alone.
Booking a house to accommodate all of us hadn't been a problem, but I made sure to reserve one with a private suite for Hannah and myself. If she wasn't pregnant yet, it would be something to work on. I was definitely looking forward to that part.
