Lori, leaning over my shoulder to show me some design suggestions on the computer, pointed to a room with clean whites, some earthy woods, pops of orange and a few green plants to show me how she could transform my space.
"At your house, we can just add in a few of these." She clicked on some examples of items from an interior design store.
"Yeah, I like that," I told Lori. "What are you doing with the guesthouse? I mean, have you discussed any plans with Martin?"
"Let me show you what he liked," Lori said, clicking to an image of a clear bachelor pad, complete with black sheets and a bed with lights around its edge.
"Eww..." I said. "You talked him out of it, right?"
"Most definitely. I think Lauren guided him to something more like this."
She showed me another page that showed a beautifully decorated bedroom that was clearly masculine but tasteful.
"Much better. See? This is why Martin and Lauren should get together. I mean, their tastes and..."
