Lucian's POV
After Cassandra left I sat for a moment with the thumb drive in my hand.
Two enemies. Viktor on the borders. Nadia in the boardroom. Jonathan in the shadows.
And somewhere in a facility nobody had found yet, six children who needed to come home.
My phone buzzed with a message from Zayn.
"The board has agreed to postpone the vote pending shareholder notification review. Jin scared them. But Nadia filed a counter-injunction an hour ago. She's claiming Aria's shares from the rejection settlement were improperly awarded and should be voided. If the court agrees she drops back below the threshold and the vote goes through without challenge."
I forwarded it to Aria without commentary.
Her response came back in under a minute.
"Of course she did. How long does the injunction take?"
I asked Zayn.
"Expedited hearing. Could be as fast as seventy-two hours."
I sent that to Aria too.
