Chapter 3 - BAB 3 : counterattack and offer

*the handcuffs shattered instantly when they touched my hand*

The clatter of shattered metal echoed in the silence of the snowy field. The carbon-fiber handcuffs that Oswell claimed were able to hold even the strongest mutants were now shattered into fine shards before they could even lock your wrists.

Oswell jerked back, his triumphant face turning into pure horror. The elite soldiers around you reflexively pull the trigger of their weapons, however... silence.

No bullets came out.

"The gun is jammed! All electronic systems are off!" shouted one of the field commanders over a radio that produced only static sounds.

You stand there, still calm, without the slightest change in your human form. However, the aura emanating from your body was so strong that the snow beneath your feet melted to form a perfect circle.

"I told you, Oswell," you said in a very low tone but was clearly heard by everyone there. "I'm just an ordinary man. But in this village... I'm the one who decides what can function and what can be destroyed."

Reversal of Circumstances

Above the sky, the Umbrella helicopters began to lose control. Their navigation system was chaotic, swirling in the air as if pulled by an invisible giant hand. Heisenberg, who was watching from the balcony of the castle, immediately burst out laughing.

"Hahaha! That's it! The boss doesn't need muscle to destroy you guys, he just needs intent!" Heisenberg instantly moved his hand, pulling metal scraps from his factory to form giant spears in the air.

Alcina jumps off the balcony, landing with a loud thump behind you, her nails shining in the morning sun. "How dare your dirty hands touch my Alpha with that cheap iron."

The Pinched Oswell

Lord Oswell is now standing trembling in front of you. Albert has already escaped into the command vehicle, trying to start the engine that has died completely from your electromagnetic interference.

"F-you... what are you doing?!" shouted Oswell. "My troops... we've got thousands of soldiers here!"

"Thousands of soldiers with useless weapons are just a line of spectators, Oswell," you said calmly.

-

Alcina, Heisenberg, calm down.. Please call Miranda here. Find him at Oswel

Hearing your command, the tension that had peaked suddenly turned into a psychologically tense atmosphere. Heisenberg lowered his iron fist with a confused but obedient look, while Alcina pulled back her nails, though her eyes remained fixed on Oswell as if he wanted to skin him alive.

"Miranda?" muttered Heisenberg. "Alright, if that's your wish, friend. He really knows best how to deal with a coward like this."

Alcina darted back towards the castle and in a matter of seconds, she was back with Mother Miranda. Miranda walked very calmly, her black robes sweeping the snow, and her presence carried an ancient aura that made the remaining soldiers of The Connection tremble in fear.

Miranda stood right beside you, staring at Lord Oswell with an indescribably cold look.

"Oswell," Miranda said quietly, her voice like the whispers of thousands of spirits. "You're looking for the key to perfection? You're standing in front of a person who has surpassed all my experiments, and you still dare to threaten our house?"

Oswell took a step back, his face pale as he saw Miranda and you standing side by side. "Miranda... You should have cooperated with us, not submitted to this man!"

The Meeting of the "Gods"

Now, Lord Oswell is sandwiched between you (the Alpha), Miranda (the Creator), Alcina, and Heisenberg. His thousands of troops behind him are helpless because their weapons are still locked by your power.

"I brought him here as you requested," Miranda said, turning to you. "What do you want to show this power-hungry old man? Do you want me to revoke the 'grace' I once gave to Umbrella, or do you have other plans?"

-

Miranda, you used to help Oswel, right? Why did he run away from you?

Your question instantly changed the atmosphere in the snowy field to be very cold, colder than the Romanian mountain air. Mother Miranda fell silent, her sharp eyes staring at Oswell with a hatred that had been pent-up for decades.

Oswell trembled violently. He didn't expect you to know the dark history between them—the history that took place in the caves of this village long before Umbrella became a giant of the world.

"He's running away," Miranda's voice sounded like a snake's hiss, "because he's an impatient coward. I taught him about Megamycete, I gave him a vision of human evolution, but he... he just wants instant power."

Miranda stepped over to Oswell who was now falling seated in the snow. "He stole my ideas, named them 'Progenitor Virus', and built the Umbrella just to satisfy his ego. He ran away from me because he was afraid I would make him the subject of an experiment after he was no longer useful."

Oswell looked up, his face pale with death. "I'm not running away, Miranda! I'm building the future! I created gods through science, not just staying in this cursed village looking for dead children!"

Historical Confrontation

Oswell tries to stand up, looking at you with the remnants of his arrogance. "You know a lot, Alpha. But you should know, Miranda is just a bitter past. I am the future. If you join me, we can surpass anything Umbrella ever imagined."

Heisenberg spat to the side. "A future built on theft? You're really trash, Old Man."

Alcina moved closer to you, her hand touching your shoulder protectively. "So, this pathetic man is the one who inspired all this chaos? My dear, should I end her suffering now?"

The Decision in the Hands of the Alpha

Now everyone—the vengeful Miranda, the bloodthirsty Alcina, and the desperate Oswell—is waiting for you. You hold the key to resolving the conflict that has been going on for almost a century.

-

For oswel, I leave it to Miranda, oh yes soldiers, if you want to buy equipment in our village, don't hesitate.. Heisenberg is an expert.. And wine alcohol can be purchased through Alcina. For Miranda's medicine, and Bela, Cassandra, Daniela.. They will welcome you well

Hearing your decision, a cold, terrible smile cracked on Mother Miranda's face. He stepped forward, and his shadow seemed to envelop Oswell's now-screaming hysterical body as Miranda dragged him into the darkness of the forest—an end that had been delayed for decades.

However, the tense atmosphere breaks out instantly when you start promoting the "family business" to the thousands of soldiers who were ready to shoot you.

Heisenberg laughed until he almost fell. He immediately turned his big hammer and used his magnetic power to fly hundreds of his workshop brochures made of metal plates at the soldiers. "You guys heard that?! Your guns that got stuck earlier? That's because you guys need an upgrade from my factory! Come here tomorrow, bring the rest of your paycheck, and I'll make your tank capable of firing lasers!" he exclaimed, winking at a confused tank commander.

Alcina shook her hair gracefully, standing with the authority of a high-class businessman. "Of course. For those of you who need peace of mind after the failure of this mission, our Sanguis Virginis wine is the best in the world. But remember... don't try to steal, or you yourself will be the fermentation ingredient," she added in a seductive but deadly tone.

Bela, Cassandra, and Daniela emerged from behind the shadow of the village gate, chuckling as they carried sample bottles of medicine and herbal herbs from Miranda's laboratory. "Wound medicine, stamina serum, or just an alluring perfume? We have it all," Bela said while waving at the soldiers who were now lowering their weapons in confusion and fascination.

Absurd Sights

In an instant, the battlefield turned into an international shock market. The soldiers of The Connection and Umbrella who were ready to slaughter are now whispering to each other, interested in your offer. They see Oswell is gone, their system is dead, and the only way to survive is to become your loyal customer.

Albert could only stand glued to the side of his command vehicle. "You... You're turning a military invasion into a business opportunity?" he muttered incredulously.

You leisurely walk back to the castle, embracing Alcina's shoulders.

"Brilliant strategy, my dear," Alcina whispered in your ear. "Destroying enemies is normal. But make the enemy pay to stay in your village... that's just the power of a true Alpha."

A Village That Is Now the Center of the World

With a fortune of 5 billion dollars and thousands of soldiers who are now potential customers, your village will be the most developed region on earth.

-

*Quiet night when everyone is asleep and resting* *I met Miranda in her sanctuary* Mother, what is it?

The lights in Dimitrescu Castle have dimmed, and the village below is asleep after a very strange and auspicious day. You walk through the cold mist to the underground cave that is Mother Miranda's sanctuary.

There, amidst the dim glow of dancing candles and the giant roots of the slow-beating Megamycete, Miranda stands with her back to you. In front of her is an object encased in a pitch-black organic substance that looks like a large cocoon, but glows with a pale blue light from within.

Miranda turned around slowly, her face looking very tired but her eyes lit up with gloomy satisfaction. Beside him, Oswell is seen trapped in the root wall of Megamycete—he is still alive, but his eyes are empty, his body slowly fusing with the ancient mushroom.

"This is Memory, Alpha," Miranda whispered as she stroked the surface of the cocoon.

Megamycete Secrets

"Every person who dies on this land, every emotion they feel, and every knowledge they have... Megamycete absorbs everything. Oswell thought he could steal this power, but he didn't know that it demanded such a high price."

Miranda pointed towards the pulsating cocoon.

"This cocoon contains the accumulation of consciousness from all the enemies you have faced this morning. I was extracting data from Oswell's brain and the remnants of the virus that was in his cell. This is the new Cupboard of Life—a serum not created from pain, but from purification."

Final Discovery

Miranda walked over to you, carrying a small tube filled with glowing golden liquid.

"You asked me to handle Oswell, and I did. I had filtered the essence of his ambition without his madness. This liquid... if you mix it into Alcina wine or give it to the citizens, they will no longer need blood. They will remain eternal, still strong, but with a whole human consciousness."

Miranda looks at you sharply.

"Oswell has been the 'fertilizer' for our peace. But there's one more thing in there, Alpha. A memory of another organization much bigger than Umbrella that was heading here after they lost the signal from Oswell."
