The industrial complex trembled under the pounding of boots and gunfire. Sparks flew from shattered wiring, smoke twisted in the high ceilings, and the metallic tang of gunpowder hung in the air. Shadows moved like predators, hiding lethal threats.
Yuri's ninety bodyguards were first to strike, blades and guns flashing. They were trained, ruthless—but they hadn't counted on me.
I ducked under a rifle shot, rolled across the concrete, and swept the legs of a man lunging at me. Another tried to stab from the side; I caught the blade mid-air, spun, and slammed him into two more attackers. Gorya moved like water to my left, her fists a blur, disarming and incapacitating guards with precision. Kanning vaulted over debris, flipping enemies midair, landing with perfect control, while Aum covered the far flank, cutting down anyone who thought they could flank me.
"Left corridor clear. Smoke deployed at north entrance. Three guards approaching the staircase," MJ's voice crackled over comms.
Thyme and Rylan had orchestrated controlled diversions outside, explosions drawing reinforcements where we wanted them. Zephyr, Nova, and Silas patrolled rooftops, picking off snipers before they could aim. Within minutes, all ninety of Yuri's men lay unconscious, moaning and disarmed.
Then, Kaizer stormed in, eyes blazing, with four hundred fifty bodyguards.
"You think this ends with them?" he sneered. "You think you can protect everyone?"
"Not think," I said, stepping forward, voice low and deadly. "I will protect them."
The room erupted. Guns fired, knives slashed through air, and bodies collided with each other. I ducked a rifle shot, swung a man over my shoulder, and spun, knocking three more unconscious. A flash of movement caught my eye—a sniper aimed at Kanning. I launched myself across the floor, catching her arm midair, spinning her behind cover as bullets shredded the concrete.
Gorya screamed as a guard's bullet tore through her leg. Aum's hand broke as she deflected a rifle; Kanning's hand was shattered by another attacker. Rage boiled in me hotter than the fires of the explosions outside. Every move became lethal. Fists, elbows, knees, kicks, weapon disarms—they all fell like dominos.
Yuri raised his gun toward Keifer. "You'll see her powerless," he taunted.
"You're about to see the opposite," I snarled. I lunged, knocking the gun away and sending him crashing into the wall, unconscious.
Kaizer, seeing his plans unravel, barked orders. "Reinforcements! Point at Section E, the kid, Angelo!" Doors slammed open. Guns raised, aimed at our allies.
I froze, assessing every angle. Then, fury consumed me. Faster than bullets could track, I became a hurricane. I flipped over crates, swung enemies into each other, grabbed rifles midair, and slammed men unconscious. Fifteen more guards tried to flank us, their guns aimed at friends and family—I disarmed every single one. Kicking, punching, rolling, twisting, blocking bullets with metal beams and walls—I moved like a storm of fury.
Kaizer tried to escape. I shot his hands and legs. He fell crawling, helpless. I leaned over him, voice ice-cold: "This… is for Tita Serina, for Keigan, for Keifer."
The room finally went quiet. Smoke hung heavy, dust settled, the floor littered with unconscious bodies. My body trembled. Gorya, Kanning, and Aum were injured but alive. I collapsed, darkness claiming me.
Scene: Hospital – Aftermath
When I regained consciousness, monitors beeped steadily. Sunlight filtered through the blinds. My body was weak, trembling from exhaustion and low hemoglobin.
Keifer sat beside me, eyes wide, voice shaking. "Jay… I… I saw everything. You're… unbelievable."
Angelo's eyes were fierce, burning with anger. Without warning, he twisted my ear. "Why are you Always pushing yourself, always taking on more than you should! This… this madness—why?!"
I groaned, too weak to resist. "Kuya… please… leave my ear… I'll NEED TO TELL YOU ALL EVERYTHING…"
Before Angelo could press further, the three groups arrived. They had panicked when I collapsed. Havoc, Apex, and Shadow Council stood at the doorway, eyes wide, breaths short. "Jay!" Thyme shouted, rushing forward. "You… you didn't eat, did you? You always do this—push yourself beyond limits!"
MJ nodded, voice low but intense. "We… we've seen this since we were kids! Always going too far… and still nothing changes!"
Gorya, Kanning, and Aum grimaced, rubbing their injuries. "Stop trying to be invincible, Jay! You're human!" Kanning added, voice cracking slightly. "You always do this!"
Keifer sat beside me, still holding my hand. Pride and awe battled with fear. He finally understood the truth: I was unstoppable, yes—but I was also human.
I weakly smiled, voice barely a whisper: "I… I just couldn't let anyone else get hurt…"
Angelo ruffled my hair, still smirking, though concern softened his gaze. "You're something else… still my little sister… the one no one can beat."
The three groups exchanged glances, grinning despite their panic, their awe undeniable. The battlefield outside still smelled of gunpowder, the chaos fading into silence. Even in exhaustion, I knew I had won. Not just the fight—but the knowledge that I had protected everyone I loved.
