Chapter 13 - EXPLINATION

The hospital room was heavy with silence. Monitors beeped steadily, but their rhythm couldn't match the tension in the air. Angelo paced angrily, arms crossed, every line on his face screaming disbelief. Keifer sat close, worry etched in every furrow of his brow. Section E leaned in, eyes wide, waiting for me to speak.

I exhaled slowly. "I… I need to tell you everything. How I met them. How I became who I am… and why all of this happened."

Keifer gripped my hand. "We're listening. Don't leave out a single detail."

Angelo huffed. "Jay, you better not be hiding anything… I mean it."

I nodded and began.

The Havoc

"First… Thyme, Kavin, and MJ. I met them during one of the worst nights of my life. Twenty armed men had cornered them, and even though I was already battered and exhausted from another fight, I couldn't leave them to die. Every strike had to be precise. In seconds, all twenty men were down. They stared at me… stunned.

Then… I went home. My father… he… he didn't care about my fights. He beat me brutally. Blood, pain, rage… I endured it silently. That's when Thyme, Kavin, and MJ found me. Seeing my suffering, they didn't hesitate—they protected me. From that night on, they became my brothers."

I paused, letting them absorb it. Keifer's grip on my hand tightened. Angelo muttered under his breath, "You've always been fearless, Jay…"

I continued. "Later, I met Gorya, Kanning, and Aum without knowing their connection to Thyme, Kavin, and MJ. Danger came, and I helped them. Trust formed naturally. Bonds formed. That's how The Havoc was created—seven of us, family by choice, loyalty forged in chaos."

The Apex

"The Apex… Rylan, Zephyr, and Nova. I first saw them on a rainy city night. A gang of mercenaries trapped innocents, and I couldn't let them die. I moved silently, efficiently, taking down the guards before anyone realized what happened.

The Apex didn't attack me. They watched. Calculated. Each of them had wealth, skill, and strategy—but they hadn't expected someone like me to appear and save lives on their turf. Minutes later, the mercenaries were gone. Lives saved. No rewards. But their respect was earned silently.

We didn't become friends that night. Not yet. But the unspoken understanding was clear: we were powerful, dangerous, and aware of each other's strengths. They knew I was someone they couldn't ignore."

The Shadow Council

"And then… The Shadow Council. Eira, Kael, and Silas. I met them during a blackout, investigating mysterious disappearances. The city was chaos—traps, mercenaries, everything trying to stop me. Kael lunged at me, and I moved like instinct. Every strike precise. Every obstacle neutralized.

Eira and Silas watched, stunned. Then Eira said, 'We've been watching you for months.' My every move… anticipated. I realized then that power wasn't just strength. Strategy, intelligence, control… The Shadow Council had it all. That night, I survived. And they… respected me.

I didn't join them. I wasn't meant to. But I earned their attention. And in their world, that meant survival."

The Truth About Me

I looked at Angelo. I looked at Keifer. Section E leaned closer, silence hanging in the air. My voice dropped, heavy with gravity.

"There's something else you all need to know. I… I'm not just someone who fights for friends or family. I… I run the underworld."

Angelo's eyes widened. Before I could finish, he reached over, twisted my ear lightly, and growled, "My sister… my little sister… runs the underworld, and I didn't even know about it?"

I winced, rubbing my ear. "Kuya… please… I'll explain everything. But you need to understand… it's all to protect those I care about. To control chaos before it controls us."

Keifer's hand shook slightly as he looked at me. "So… everything we've seen… every fight, every group, every attack… was part of this?"

I nodded. "Yes. Havoc, Apex, Shadow Council… they're all part of the family I've built. I've trained, fought, and survived with them. They trust me, respect me… and yes, they follow me because they know I'll do anything to protect them. Just like I did for you, Keifer. Just like I would for all of you."

Angelo's expression softened slightly, pride mingling with anger. "Jay… my little sister… controlling all of that… I don't even know how to feel."

I managed a weak smile. "You'll get used to it… eventually."

Section E, who had been silent the entire time, exchanged looks with each other. Their whispers were barely audible, full of awe and disbelief.

"I always knew she was strong," one murmured."But this… this is something else," another said.

And in that moment, I realized… my secret was out. But it didn't matter. They still loved me, they still trusted me… and together, we were unstoppable.
