In a kingdom torn apart by betrayal and war, Wei Chen, the youngest and illegitimate son of the powerful Wei family, rises amid blood and chaos. As empires crumble and aristocratic families destroy one another, Wei Chen proves that a single man, guided by cunning, bravery, and an unyielding sense of justice, can change the fate of a nation. From leading impossible battles to facing enemies a hundred times stronger, Wei Chen is more than a warrior; he embodies the determination and spirit of the Wei family. Yet even a war monster must confront his own memories and the shadows of his past. A century later, he will be reborn into a world that has forgotten his legacy, determined to rebuild his family, train loyal soldiers, and defy the destiny that awaited him. Through strategies, relentless battles, and decisions that will shape history, Wei Chen will prove that true power is measured not only by the strength of the sword but by the blood, loyalty, and heart of those who follow him.

Chapter 1 - The Beginning Of The End (Part 1)

The hooves of horses echoed in the cold night, the rain washing the blood on the ground, forming rivers of blood.

Countless bodies lay on the ground forming mountains.

"If that kind of bastard takes the throne, I, Wei Chen, the youngest and last descendant of the Wei family, will destroy the throne and Chang'an," shouted Wei Chen.

Even though he said that in his own words.

"I didn't think this would happen…" thought Wei Chen.

Seeing the number of dead on the ground, soldiers of the Wei family and other warriors under his command, he felt like the air had been cut from him.

He had always been the bastard son of the Wei family. He always caused trouble, spent money, fought with other young lords and with civilians too.

He never thought he would take command of the Wei family.

So he set out to do whatever he wanted, didn't study enough but had many concubines and drank alcohol to his fill.

"Ah… those were good times…" thought Wei Chen ecstatically.

He shook his head; if anyone found out that he was thinking about the concubine he had been with years ago in the middle of a civil war, he would be in big trouble.

He looked back over his shoulder; they were not the only ones at war.

A foreign invasion was coming from the north, the emperor's soldiers were fighting fiercely.

"Hmm? If the emperor's soldiers were fighting so fiercely on the battlefield in the north, who are the bastards fighting against the rebellion?" Wei Chen wondered.

Then he looked forward. The army of the families affiliated with the emperor were the ones trying to handle the rebellion.

But Wei Chen didn't see that they were stopping the rebellion. He only saw that the other families had betrayed the Wei family and were killing his soldiers.

Even if the foreigners noticed that there was an internal war and decided to attack at a vulnerable moment, that was not his problem.

"The Wang, Lin, and Fang families really joined the bastard king…" he said, smiling with a bit of madness in his eyes.

He took the reins of a frenzied horse, probably for losing its owner.

It was a unique horse; even the color of its coat was as black as night.

"Hey… hey… hey… calm down," said Wei Chen, stroking the horse, "do you see those bastards over there?"

He pointed with his finger at the army of the Wang, Lin, and Fang families, which numbered no more than 200.

"They killed your owner…" Wei Chen stated; whether it was true or not didn't matter, only that the horse could run.

The horse's eyes filled with blood, entering an intense frenzy.

Almost pulling the reins out of Wei Chen's hands.

As if the horse itself could take a sword and kill the soldiers on its own.

Thinking of that image, Wei Chen almost smiled, but it was not the moment.

"Your owner treated you very well, right?… then help me avenge your owner."

Wei Chen sheathed his iron sword and picked up a bronze spear from the corpse-strewn ground.

In fact, if he had to choose from all the weapons in the world, he definitely would not have chosen a spear.

The reason? It was heavy, but for Wei Chen, whose family had been destroyed and only he and a few of his cousins remained,

He joined the army and trained almost to death; a bronze spear would do absolutely nothing to him.

"I will avenge them…" he said to the fallen as he climbed onto the horse.

Tightening the reins of the horse, he rode toward the soldiers.

"Get out of the way!" he shouted to the few Wei family soldiers still standing and fighting.

Hearing the orders from afar, the soldiers who were fighting were confused but still decided to get out of the way.

Wei Chen swung the spear, making a sound in the air; the veins in his arms were visible to the naked eye.

As if the horse knew what he wanted to do, it galloped even faster.

Taking advantage of the horse's speed, Wei Chen knocked down the soldiers on their horses in a single motion.

"Listen carefully," Wei Chen roared at the soldiers under his command, "We will move forward, falling is forbidden. These bastards dared to betray the family; we will make them pay. Let's move forward."

"Yes!" they shouted with insomnia, raising the morale of the soldiers.

Wei Chen pressed on with great speed, massacring the soldiers of the aristocratic families.

A group of soldiers tried to ambush Wei Chen from behind, but the horse raised its hind legs and knocked them down.

Surprised, he patted the horse's head, "Good boy," he said while tightening the reins.

At high speed, he gradually stood on the horse's back, with an almost manic smile he took the spear with one arm and massacred fifteen soldiers with a 360-degree motion.

It was like a god of war.

"I-I-It's a demon!" shouted the enemy army's general.

But massacring the soldiers of the Wang, Lin, and Fang families was not his only purpose.

He could see from afar an extremely familiar face.

It was the prince fighting the guards of the newly crowned emperor.

"There you are," said Wei Chen as he made a path through.

He rode as fast as he could to reach the prince.

With another spear movement, he took the heads of the emperor's personal guards who tried to ambush the prince.

Surprised, the prince turned around; what his eyes saw was a black horse rearing on two legs. The moonlight reflected off the spear, giving an almost unreal effect. He gripped his sword in fear.

He was prepared to fight or die trying, but seeing that it was Wei Chen, he sighed in relief.

"You almost killed me from fright; I thought a god of death came for my head or something like that," said the prince, sighing in relief.

"If you don't kill the bastard king, I will really take your head. Speaking of the bastard king, he must be scared to death. Where is he?" he said while searching side to side.

The prince pointed to a temple that had a giant Buddha statue.

But given the conditions of the war, the temple had bloodstains on every step, making the situation look worse than expected for the emperor.

"I see… so that's where he's hiding," said Wei Chen, nodding his head.

The temple seemed a bit far to run.

"With your permission, Your Highness," he said while grabbing the prince by the collar and putting him on the horse.

"Ahhhh Wei Chen, bastard!" shouted the prince as they were lifted onto the horse.

"Please don't shout so loud, Your Majesty, hold on tight; you might fall," said Wei Chen seriously.

The prince didn't understand what Wei Chen meant but obeyed and held onto his waist tightly.

"No, not so tight, Your Highness, you're cutting off my breathing," said Wei Chen.

"Shut up and move! There's no time for your games!" roared the prince.

Wei Chen let out a chuckle while signaling the horse to run toward the temple at maximum speed.
