CHAPTER 80 THE BEAST PORTALS
The beast portals were gate way to other worlds of ancient civilizations, which was now forgotten and overruned with dangerous danger beasts.
Based on research carried out, what ever civilization had inhabited couldn't withstand the outbreak of the danger beasts.
The portals were later classified into four types based on the colors; green, yellow, red and black.
The green portals were filled with lower ranked danger beasts and was suitable to live in with the right preparations.
A yellow portal carried beast from the magical ranked slightly above.
A Red portal carried higher ranked beast.
One dangerous thing about the red portal was that the beast could walked out in numbers and cause havoc .
This was the reason most fortress was built in certain locations within the borders.
The Black portal was something else entirely, having only X class danger beasts. It was bearly seen, but very much real.
A portal can open up on its own if a particular area have a high density of spirit energy.

In a particular hall in the first year building, the first years over twenty two in numbers stood before a yellow glowing portal.
It's been over a week since they arrived in Avalon and today, they were going on a short expedition in a yellow portal.
"Now listen up!"
Sir Brocks loud voice brought the students attention to him.
Beside him was female instructor with brown hair, from the medical unit in the school.
She wore glasses making her look smart.
"Alright students"
Miss Stella step forward.
"This will be your first time going through a portal. This portal have a low tier, so the beasts in it are of the Basic,
Secondary and some advanced tier. The advanced tier normally lives at the far side, we don't plan to go that far though, today is just for the experience.
Next time we move deeper"
"Don't take this exercise lightly, basic tier or not, a beast is a beast. They're called danger beasts for a reason"
Fury suddenly let out a squeak and waved his tiny paws.
All eyes turned towards Roman and his group.
They seam to carry a certain pressure when they're together.
"Please don't mind him"
Roman said.
Due to Fury's nature, people tends to forget that he's a danger beast.
"Interesting, so he's an advanced tier"
Miss Stella said adjusting her glasses.
"I trained him since he was a basic tier "
Roman added with a smile
"Not everyone can do that "
She replied
"He's a squirrel, he doesn't bite"
Lunar shrugged.
Fury let out a squeak, taking offense from Lunar's words.
"Enough waiting time, let's go "
Sir Brock voiced out and walked into the portal, his figure disappeared in a flash.
"Alright students, you will feel slightly disorganized at first but it fade off shortly"
The students nodded and slowly each of them stepped through the portal in groups.

The students appeared in a large open area filled with yellow field grass.
The skies were yellow with blue clouds and a sun.
There was a forest some distance away from them, having yellow bright trees.
It was beautiful from the distance.
"This is nice, a nice spot for a vacation "
Lan said.
"Sure, you should have come with a tent"
Billy scoffed.
"He might next time"
Bryon added
"I'd prefer the castle"
Carl said.
During the week, their little group had earned the title, The B Team, the second strongest group of the first years.
Of course Billy hated it. He gritted his teeth for a whole day.
And for the title of, The A Team, goes to...
"I wasn't expecting something this beautiful for a world run down by beasts"
Sarah said.
"What were you expecting?"
Lunar asked.
"I think she was expecting a dark place with black swampy area and thick fog that whispers your name every few seconds"
Roman let out a chuckle
"I was kinda expecting the same thing "
Anya shrugged.
Anya was loosening up with the group each day. They made her feel like she belonged, especially a particular red hair boy....
Fury let out squeak and landed on her shoulder.
...oh, and a stupid squirrel.
"This place is crawling with beasts"
Sylver said, her perception spread out with the use of Ki
Both teams had increased their level of Ki . That's what gave them more advantage than the rest of the class.
"Yeah I feel it too. But it's not something to bother about "
Roman said.
"Alright listen up!"
Sir Brock voiced out
"For this assessment you'll be on your own. I'll only step in when I want to. So get ready!"
Immediately he said that, the ground began to tremble.
