Morning in the penthouse started the same way it always did.
With chaos.
"WHO ATE MY STRAWBERRIES?!"
Jin's voice echoed through the entire building.
Hoseok, who had been peacefully drinking juice from his dinosaur cup, froze mid-sip.
Slowly… very slowly… he lowered the cup.
Across the room, Taehyung did the exact same thing.
Jimin glanced between them suspiciously.
"You two look guilty."
Hoseok shook his head immediately.
"No."
Taehyung pointed at him.
"It was him."
Hoseok gasped.
"TRAITOR!"
Jin stormed into the living room holding an empty container.
"My strawberries were imported!"
Yoongi looked up lazily from his laptop.
"They were fruit."
"They were luxury fruit."
Namjoon pinched the bridge of his nose.
"It's seven in the morning."
Jungkook walked into the room stretching.
"What's happening?"
Jimin grinned.
"Fruit crime."
Jin pointed at Hoseok dramatically.
"You."
Hoseok clutched his chest.
"I am innocent!"
Taehyung whispered loudly.
"He ate six."
Hoseok glared.
"You helped!"
"Snitches get stitches."
Jin sighed deeply.
"I live with children."
Yoongi muttered without looking up,
"You chose this life."
Training Continues
Jungkook clapped his hands.
"Alright."
Hoseok immediately stood up.
"I have to go."
Namjoon blocked the hallway again.
"No you don't."
Hoseok looked betrayed.
"Why are you always standing there?"
"Because you always try to run."
Jimin grinned.
"Sunshine hates training."
"I hate violence!"
Taehyung leaned on the couch.
"You literally knocked out four men yesterday."
"That was self-defense!"
Yoongi added dryly,
"And interior decoration."
Hoseok crossed his arms.
"I was using the environment."
Jungkook tossed him a pair of gloves.
"Come on."
Hoseok caught them this time.
Everyone noticed.
Jin nodded approvingly.
"Improvement."
Hoseok puffed his chest proudly.
"I am evolving."
Taehyung whispered to Jimin,
"Into a slightly dangerous baby."
Jimin snorted.
The Gun Lesson
Today was different.
When they entered the training room, Jungkook placed something on the table.
A gun.
Hoseok immediately froze.
"Oh."
The room became quiet.
Namjoon watched him carefully.
"You don't have to do this."
Hoseok stared at the weapon.
His chest tightened slightly.
He hated guns.
Hated violence.
But he also knew something now.
Danger would always follow them.
And he refused to be helpless again.
Slowly, he stepped forward.
"I want to learn."
Jungkook's expression softened.
"Okay."
He picked up the gun and showed him gently.
"First rule."
He placed it in Hoseok's hands carefully.
"Respect the weapon."
Hoseok held it nervously.
"It's heavy."
"Because it's serious."
Jimin leaned against the wall watching.
"You look like a baby holding a tank."
Hoseok glared.
"I will shoot you."
Taehyung grinned.
"That's the spirit."
Jungkook adjusted his stance.
"Feet apart."
Namjoon nodded.
"Breathe."
Yoongi watched silently.
Jin held snacks again.
Hoseok aimed at the target.
His hands trembled slightly.
Jungkook stepped behind him.
Guiding his arms.
"Relax."
Hoseok inhaled slowly.
Then pulled the trigger.
BANG.
Everyone blinked.
The bullet hit the outer ring.
Hoseok's eyes widened.
"…I did it?"
Jungkook smiled proudly.
"You did."
Hoseok turned around excitedly.
"I DID!"
Taehyung clapped dramatically.
"Sunshine is armed."
Jimin grinned.
"The world is ending."
Yoongi muttered,
"God help us all."
Later That Afternoon
The boys were sprawled across the living room.
Hoseok lay across Jungkook's lap playing with his hair.
Jimin rested his head on Namjoon's shoulder.
Taehyung was stealing snacks from Jin.
Yoongi worked quietly nearby.
Peace.
For once.
Hoseok mumbled sleepily.
"Koo…"
Jungkook looked down.
"Yes baby?"
"I shot the target."
"You did."
Hoseok smiled proudly.
"I'm dangerous now."
Taehyung snorted.
"You're adorable."
Hoseok pouted.
"I can be both!"
Jimin nodded.
"True."
Namjoon kissed his forehead gently.
"Our sunshine is growing up."
Hoseok yawned.
Then suddenly—
The alarm screamed.
Everyone jumped up instantly.
Yoongi checked the system.
His expression hardened.
"Multiple vehicles again."
Jungkook sighed.
"Daejin."
Namjoon's voice turned cold.
"This ends tonight."
Hoseok's stomach dropped.
"You're going after him?"
Namjoon nodded.
"Yes."
Jin grabbed his weapons.
Taehyung cracked his neck.
Jimin smiled dangerously.
Yoongi shut his laptop.
The room filled with tension.
Hoseok stepped forward.
"Be careful."
Jungkook pulled him into a hug.
"Always."
Hoseok whispered softly,
"Come back."
Namjoon kissed his hair.
"We will."
Midnight
The penthouse was silent.
Too silent.
Hoseok curled up on the couch waiting.
His dinosaur cup sat forgotten beside him.
His phone buzzed suddenly.
Unknown number.
He answered hesitantly.
"…hello?"
A cold voice spoke.
"We have your boyfriends."
Hoseok froze.
"What?"
The man laughed.
"They walked straight into a trap."
Hoseok's heart stopped.
"No…"
"Come alone if you want them alive."
The call ended.
Silence filled the room.
Hoseok sat there shaking.
Then slowly stood.
For the first time since joining them—
Sunshine looked angry.
Really angry.
He walked into the training room.
Picked up the gun Jungkook gave him earlier.
His hands trembled.
But his eyes were determined.
"They think I'm weak…"
Hoseok whispered.
A small, dangerous smile appeared.
"Big mistake."
And for the first time—
Sunshine was walking straight into the war.
