{Third Person}
Several days later, Matilda finally decided that it was time to write to Amara.
Anthony's advice had stayed with her. It was true that, since Amara had married into the werewolf kingdom, neither of them had written to ask how she was doing.
Under normal circumstances, that would have seemed unusual, especially for parents whose daughter had been sent to another kingdom to marry.
Matilda therefore sat at her desk and began writing.
She kept the letter simple. She asked Amara how she was settling into her new life and whether she was being treated well. She mentioned that things at home were fine and that everyone was going about their usual routines.
When she finished, she folded the letter carefully and placed it inside an envelope. Then she sealed it and called the butler.
"Keep this somewhere safe for me. I will send it when I am ready."
"Yes, Madam."
The butler took the envelope and left.
