"Where are we going now?" I asked as we now stepped out of the academy into the city.
This city is called Vytrinae. It's owned by the academy, and it was created so the students won't feel caged inside the academy after staying for too long, as no one could leave till the end of a semester. The place bustled with activities as buyers, most of which were students, and sellers battled over price of goods. The place was a hub of activities, and it gave the feeling of freedom. I guess that's why the academy invested so much into this, but with this much freedom came consequences, students would at some point get carried away and ignore their studies, but the way I see it, they didn't really care since those that are serious will always be serious.
Anyway, this was another form of revenue from the academy as merchants paid taxes, as well as the people who actually lived here. The currency used in this place however is points, so every expense made is at the detriment of the student, as there is a fixed amount of points allocated to everyone on a monthly basis, which is highly influenced by rank.
"Alies Seres," she said with a grin, to which I frowned.
"What language is that?" I asked and she glared at me.
"It's not a language you big dummy! It's a couples cafe," she said and I nodded.
"Wait… how do you even expect me to know that, I literally started school a day before yesterday?" I realized and asked with a frown, to which she just laughed it off.
"You don't have to be an ancient student to know it, it's so popular in the academy that you should have at least heard of it once from students, even on the first day," she said and I shook my head, not wanting to continue with this argument anymore, it was evident we weren't going anywhere with it.
"But you said couples… are single people banned or something?" I couldn't help but ask.
"Well, no… well not directly that is, but the atmosphere in there would chase a lone dog away, so don't ever try going there without me," she said and though she was smiling it seemed she was serious with that last part.
"So basically, I have to have a girlfriend before I can go in there freely?" I asked with a blank look, to which she nodded eagerly.
"But you're not-" I didn't even get to finish the sentence as suddenly, her smile widened even more but it didn't reach her eyes.
"I am not what, Ryan?" she purred in my ears as in the blink of an eye, I was pulled and placed into a wall slam. Damn this is so embarrassing! But I can't even do anything about it! She is so much more powerful than me that I don't even want to piss her off. With my many years searching for Renay I had developed this scumbag sort of attitude that one word from me and a girl would get so irritated with me that in that second I would become their worst enemy, but whenever I see Selena that attitude takes a hike, maybe it's my subconscious already aware she could strangle me in public with how crazy she is, and before anyone can interfere, not that anyone would, I will be long gone.
"I asked a question, Ryan," she said placing one knee on my crotch as she leaned against me, staring me in the eyes, "I am not what?" she reiterated.
"You are not only my girlfriend," I said, after searching my mind for some words to fit in with that sentence but this was all I got in a state of panic, "I am what then?" her hot breath reached my ears.
AHHHHHHH!
I hate this!
I fucking hate this!
Tsk.
Plus now that I have regained myself, that bastard Zel has disappeared, so now I can't even merge with the damn blessing. Damn it!
"You…" I sighed, "… are my everything," I said the most cringy ass thing I could find in my bag of BS. But it seemed to do the trick as she began blushing furiously, but I couldn't let this opportunity go. Taking advantage of her disarray, I switched positions with her, and now she couldn't even gaze into my eyes, averting hers like some lovestruck maiden.
"Alright, enough of this. Can you just give me the points I asked for. I am really short on time," I got serious and asked, but she looked as though she was shrinking under my gaze, "Y-yes," she said, "…But what about-"
"We can go there tomorrow," I interjected firmly and she nodded meekly.
Hm.
This actually feels good, why isn't she always this docile?
Anyway, the points I just spoke about was the reason for all this, I had asked for some of my points to go pay some transport fare and head to a certain sector of Vytrinae, but she insisted that before she would give me a portion of 'my' own points, I would have to go somewhere with her.
I couldn't get to where I wanted to without those points, and I couldn't go that far by foot as I would miss the curfew, again, which would probably get the attention of the dorm master. Plus I had to get there today, as Lucas would be headed there tomorrow for training and in the process retrieve a certain relic.
