Family Introductions.
Shanghai, the Pearl of the Orient, where East meets West and tradition blends with innovation. Skyscrapers pierce the sky, while historic Bund waterfront whispers tales of a bygone era.
In this city there were wealthy people from different backgrounds. The life in Shanghai was full of competition. From small businesses to empires everything was full of competition. You have to work hard in order to survive in this city.
Things would be easier if one was part of the prestigious families. However being able to afford a cloth that costs a few million yuan meant you might survive in this vibrant city.
The prestigious families consisted of the Zheng dynasty. The Zheng family was and is still known as the wealthiest family in all of China and beyond. The Zheng family started venturing into gold. The forefathers dealt with gold and diamonds. There were filthy rich that they left money for generations to come. The Zheng family consisted of five family members. Everyone wondered why the Zheng family only valued five members while they had other family members but it was still unknown. The Zheng's ruled with an iron fists. From sons to daughters and even daughters in laws, they had to be cunning inorder to survive in this family. Every family member in the Zheng household held power and was scary but two of the family members were the most dangerous, the oldest son, Zheng Lin and his wife, Zheng RanRan. There were not just considered scary but there were ruthless.
The next prestigious family that followed the Zheng's were the Chen family. Everyone knew that the Chen family had a good relationship with the Zheng family. Their relationship went way back from ancient times. The Chen family was known to be a family of mostly three family members. Not that there were only three but the three were the most valuable members. The Chen family was run by Chen Xiaoyani, who was the wife of the late Chen Zen. The Chen family ventured into making weapons. Their company was huge and attract foreign customers. They made guns, bombs, and many weapons. The Chen family was super rich but not more than the Zheng family. Chen Zen and Chen Xiaoyani had a daughter, Chen Yihan who later married into the Wei family and gave birth to Wei RanRan who is the only granddaughter of the Chen family. Chen Xiaoyani treated RanRan like a little girl and taught her everything she knew about business. The young lady grew up to be a dangerous and most cunning businesswoman.
The third family was the Wei family. The Wei family was run by Wei Ziming. The Wei family consisted of five members. The Wei family was into publishing. It was a publishing company. It was successful. They may not reach the Zheng and Chen but there were also respected in society. Wei Ziming later gave his business to Wei Yiming his only son. Wei Ziming was married to Chen Yihan and later divorced and married Fu Luhui. Chen Yihan only gave birth to RanRan and they divorced leading the man to marry Luhui and have Xinyi and his only son Yiming. Wei Ziming doted on all his children. He gave them what they need and treated them with love.
The last family in the chain is the Lui family. The Lui family specialized in clothing. The Lui family consisted of six family members. The Lui family was considered the most understanding family in China. The Lui family had only three children. The oldest son Lui Feng, who was running the family business since his parents retired. The second daughter, Lui Xixi who was a model. The last child is Lui Siyu. Lui Siyu was engaged with the young master of the Wei household, Wei Yiming. The Lui were understanding like everyone said expect for the hot headed Master Lui. Everyone knew about him. He always cared about profits nothing more.
